[0:00] Well, thank you for being here this morning. [0:12] If you have a Bible, I hope you have one. If you don't, you can get one out there in the foyer. Somebody will help you find one. It's a good idea to have a Bible while you're in church. And check me out. Make sure what I'm telling you is from the Lord. [0:26] God help you if you came here to hear from me. Good night. That would be a mess. I'm not too wise. I'm kind of a fool to tell you the truth. So let's just get into something holy. [0:37] Genesis chapter 1. If anybody needs help finding it, just raise your hand. And Deacon Rich Pfeffer will come around and help you find Genesis chapter 1 this morning. [0:50] Anybody? Nobody. Okay. Okay. Very first verse of the Bible is where we'll begin. Genesis chapter 1. And we'll read the first two verses. [1:08] Genesis 1 verse 1. I can't get past the first three words sometimes. It just grabs me. But I'm going to try right now to get past them. [1:18] In the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form and void. And darkness was upon the face of the deep. [1:29] And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. Now, we didn't have to go very far into our Bible to find the Spirit of God moving. [1:41] This is the first mention. It's pretty much the first mention of anything. But it's the first mention of God's Spirit. And it's the first mention of Him moving. Another time it shows up is in Judges with Samson in Judges 13 where it describes the Spirit of the Lord began to move him at times between the camps of Dan and Eshter. [2:00] Another time it's back in 2 Peter, I think, chapter 1 where it says, Holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost. But there's really not too many mentions of the Spirit of the Lord moving or the Holy Ghost moving. [2:15] Now, have you ever heard somebody say, The Spirit really moved. Or that God's Spirit's moving today. Or I can feel the Spirit moving. It's kind of become a common phrase among churchgoers, among Baptist preachers, or even in meetings and camp meetings. [2:33] You watch any television, watch those guys on TV, they'll say it every episode. It's everything that they do is God's Spirit moved me to say this. And it's overkill. [2:44] As a matter of fact, it's not God's Spirit. Anyway. But you get around stuff. I mean, I've been at, just this last week, at youth camp. I've been at other places, revival meetings, and youth rallies where it just gets exciting. [2:57] Camp meetings in the South sometimes get pretty exciting. And people inside, they get the Word of God, and around other believers in a clean atmosphere, and get singing and worshiping God. [3:10] And things become more real to them, in a sense, when they're with brothers and sisters. There's a life that we have together. And the singing goes up and level. [3:21] And sometimes it turns into some shouting, echoing from here and from there. And I mean, I've been in camp meetings where, in a certain verse of a song, like 50 people in a row, all at once, from all over the sanctuary, just erupt into shouting and glorifying God because of what they were singing. [3:38] They experienced. And it was real to them. Sometimes they get so excited, they run around. They call it running the bases. They run a lap. You wouldn't be able to run too much in here, but you could probably get a little bit out of you if you had to. [3:52] But they run the aisle, and I've seen a guy take off out. We were at a youth camp, and these kids got wound up. And this one kid, he just took off running out. [4:03] It was an outdoor tabernacle, and out he went. I didn't see him, but I heard it. He went tearing off down toward the pond, and a little bit later, that kid just jumped into the pond. [4:19] There's a guy that I know that he, Mark McGahey was preaching at his church in Delaware, and he took off, and he ran right up the aisle, right up on the platform, and dove right into the baptismal tank. [4:31] And then hopped up and ran out. That's a little much. I don't know what that is. But nevertheless, there sometimes gets an exciting atmosphere. Some old-timers will tell of revivals, and they'll call it the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. [4:46] And if you've ever read some accounts of evangelistic ministries, and evangelists in the past, and talk about those things, they'll credit the Spirit of God for certain things going on. [4:59] I've been around a little bit, and been in meetings around church all my life, for the most part. In my church back east, we had a building that would probably comfortably seat 350 maybe, maybe four if it was kind of tighter. [5:17] But every two years, Dr. Ruckman would come up. When I was just a little kid, he would come up to our church, and it would draw people from Maryland, and Delaware, and New York, and Connecticut, and Massachusetts, and Ohio. [5:30] And I mean, everybody in that northeast, that's maybe the closest he got to them. They came out to our church, and we packed it, and the chairs down the aisle, you could hardly walk, probably easy five to six hundred people in that auditorium. [5:43] And it brought the people that were, you know, kind of looking for a meeting, looking for some preaching, looking for a good time. And so my church that I grew up in as a kid, pretty stoic and quiet. [5:55] Singing was mediocre at best. When that meeting came around, and those crazy people came around, it was on. It was lively. They're waving their hands. They're waving hankies around. [6:06] They're shouting. I don't know that anybody really took off running, but as a little boy, I'm just standing there with my little hymnal, and I'm just grinning from ear to ear, like, this is fun. This is funny to see these people act crazy. [6:20] Or, it wasn't really crazy. I understand it now, but as a kid who never really saw it, it was exciting, and it was a lively atmosphere. Many people say, when they see that excitement, when they see that outward display, they credit the Spirit of God. [6:41] They say, oh, the Spirit of God really moved. He really moved in that meeting, or in that service, or during that song. And I know what it's like, and I believe it's real. I believe it's not put on, for the most part, when somebody gets plugged in to the reality of what they're singing about, or what's being preached, and the Lord inside of them, just bears, it's like He gets all of them, instead of just part of them, like most of the time. [7:12] And that reality begins to just overwhelm you, in some cases, to where some people, just their personality is, they let it out. Some people, they're not so much that way. [7:23] I'm not so much that way. I tend to get a little more emotional, inwardly, than outwardly. Just, that's my personality. You're not that way. Some of you are that way. And God made you that way. [7:34] You don't have to run the bases, to show God you love Him. However it happens, it happens. But, people are different, and they react differently, to different things. But, there's this release, often times, when you, sometimes the Lord just seems to grip your heart, that your sins are forgiven. [7:51] That you'll never have to pay, for your sins. And that, it doesn't always happen to you. You get numb to it, sadly, sometimes. But when you get right about it, and when some, sometimes it just strikes you, a certain way, that you're just, overwhelmed with joy. [8:07] You cry, or you shout, or you want to glorify God. And, I love it. There's something, just good about that. But, we cannot go on those outward experiences, or what we see, or hear from other people, to just, that alone, to say, that's the Spirit of the Lord. [8:27] The Spirit of the Lord really moved. I think that phrase, has gotten abused, quite a bit. And again, I'm not against those things at all, I enjoy them. But, I've also been around it, and I'll just mention this, as a side note, I've been around it, where I don't know, that it's the Spirit of the Lord at all. [8:46] And what I mean is, I feel like it's just flesh. I feel like, we had this exciting meeting last year, and, if it doesn't happen like that again this year, then, it's not as good. [8:59] And I've seen guys, it just seems ill-placed, that they'll just stand up and shout, during the offertory. It seems like, what are you doing? I mean, when I tell you about the 50 people at once, just erupting, that's kind of a common spirit, going on there with them. [9:17] I mean, that's a real thing. But when just one guy, wants to start running, and he's looking around at people, to see if they notice him, chances are, that's the flesh, and him wanting to try to stir something up, that's not really there. [9:31] Now, enough about that, but, what if we got something from the Bible, about when God's Spirit moves? What if we saw, something that we could hang our hat on, from the Word of God, and not just take the Word of man? [9:44] There's other cases, like I mentioned with the TV guys, where some, I think it was Greg sent me the video, the other week, about the one woman, preacher, who's just going on and talking, and then she pauses and goes, Oh, that was God's Spirit, right there? [10:04] Get out of here. Greg's words, I'm going to borrow Greg for a minute. Stupid idiots, okay? Sorry. That's not the Spirit of God. That woman shouldn't even be up there, for the first place. [10:17] Never mind. But they, they credit certain things to God's Spirit, and they have no idea, what they're talking about. I'm going to show you from the Bible this morning, what happens when the Spirit of God moves. [10:29] And let's pray together, and then we'll get back into this passage. Father, please help me, help my tongue and my mind, to speak only those things, that are truth from the Word of God. Lord, help your people to receive it, and to understand it, to believe the truth, and to, to pattern their lives accordingly. [10:47] Lord, help us this morning, to be more like you, and to be sensitive to your Spirit, and not be looking for something outward, but to have open hearts, and ears, and minds, to when you'll lead us. [10:59] Help us to be obedient, and not let our flesh dictate, how we live our lives. And I ask these things in Jesus' name. Amen. All right. When the Spirit of the Lord moves, it's in the end of verse number two. [11:11] The Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And what do you think the first thing that happens is? Look at verse three. And God said. You know what happens when the Spirit of the Lord moves? [11:22] The voice of the Lord goes forth. Number one this morning, God speaks. God speaks. I was painting in my house one time, and I was listening to a sermon from a brother, and he was preaching, and he was talking about this very thought, about people acting a fool in church, and getting all wound up, and crazy, and running around, and shouting around, and all that, having this big old Baptist fit, or something. [11:47] And he said, sometimes it just doesn't sit right with me, when that's going on in the service. And I perked my ear, because I thought, I agree. I've sensed it too. I've been around it too. [11:58] And he went on to say, he goes, I wondered why. Why does it seem out of place at times, when people act crazy in church? And he said, they make all that noise, and I believe it's because, they don't want to hear the voice of God. [12:11] So they make all this outward excitement, they've got to push the big explosion, and say that was God. Because they're really trying to resist, God speaking to them. And I thought about that for a while. [12:22] I don't know if that's entirely accurate. But it does fall in line, with what I'm saying here. Look at 1 Kings. Keep your place, but go to 1 Kings chapter 19. When the Spirit of the Lord moves, God speaks. [12:37] He speaks. But how does he speak? With what manner? How will we know it's the voice of God? [12:48] 1 Kings 19. And here's the prophet Elijah. He goes to Mount Horeb, into a cave. [13:00] And he's lodging in a cave. And verse number 11, God speaks to him. He said, Go forth and stand upon the mount before the Lord. [13:11] And behold, the Lord passed by, and a great and strong wind rent the mountains, and break in pieces the rocks before the Lord. Now that would be pretty intimidating. [13:23] Like, the mountain. That's earthquake style stuff. Rocks just breaking in half. But the Lord was not in the wind. And after the wind, an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake. [13:35] And after the earthquake, a fire. But the Lord was not in the fire. And after the fire, notice it in your Bible, verse 12, a still, small voice. [13:48] A still, small voice. It's not the shout of a man. It's not the explosion of excitement. It's not the wind, the earthquake, or the fire. [13:58] But it's that quiet, still, low-key, voice of God. That's when God speaks. And if you're saved this morning, you have the Spirit of God inside of your body, according to this book. [14:15] And I believe this book. And with God's Spirit inside of your body, when God speaks to you, He does it from inside. He does it in your mind, in that quiet, small voice. [14:27] It's so small, yet it's powerful. It's gripping. For me, when God speaks to me, and deals with me, I get this sensation in my gut. [14:39] Like, I could go run from the voice of the Lord, but it's still there. I can feel it inside of me, this God is dealing with me. And it just seems to twist my gut a little bit, until I know this is of the Lord, and I need to respond. [14:53] He is dealing with me. And then starts the game of, whether I'm going to obey or not. When the Spirit of the Lord moves, God speaks, and He does it in a small voice. [15:05] Have you ever heard God speak to you? Have you ever heard the voice of the Lord? It's not, it's not the man in the pulpit, barking, and pounding the pulpit. It's not somebody walking around the sanctuary, in your face, or spitting on you, while he's preaching. [15:20] It comes from inside. It's God illuminating your mind, something that is wrong, or something that He wants of your life. Have you ever heard His voice? [15:33] Do you know that still, small voice? When His Spirit's moving, God, by His Spirit, speaks to you. He convicts you, or He pleads with you, or He instructs you. [15:43] I wonder if you know what the Spirit of the Lord moving is. For now, it starts with God speaking to you. God speaks, and when He speaks, He begins to do something. [15:57] And so what follows in chapter 1, we'll continue where we started in verse 3. It says, And God said, Let there be light. And there was light. And I'm not going to read the entire chapter here, but what God does is some phenomenal things in six days, creating all things. [16:18] In verse number 6 is the second day. And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters. And in verse 9, the third day, And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together into one place. [16:33] Let the dry land appear. In verse 14, the fourth day of creation. And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament. In the fifth day, verse 20, God's speaking again. [16:45] And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly. And then finally, the sixth day, where God creates the living creatures in verse 24, and He creates man in verse 26, all speaking. [17:00] Now come to the chapter 2, just the very beginning. And notice this, when God speaks, by His speaking, there's a purpose. He's initiating something, an action. [17:11] And here's a summary of it right here in chapter 2, the first three verses. Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them. And on the seventh day, God ended His, what's the next word? [17:23] On the seventh day, God ended His work, which He had made. And He rested on the seventh day from all His, come on now, work, work, which He had made, one more time, and God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, because that in it, He had rested from all His, there it is, work, which He created and made. [17:44] You know, when God's Spirit moves, God speaks. And when God speaks, it's for a purpose. He works. Number two, this morning, God works. When the Spirit of the Lord moves, and what I skimmed through in chapter one, quite quickly, was quite an accomplishment. [18:02] I mean, man is still, six some thousand years later, man is still searching out, and seeking to uncover, this unparalleled wonder, of what God did in these quick six days here of creation. [18:17] I think the details of day number one, alone, are enough to put mortal man in awe. God spoke and said, in verse three, let there be light. [18:32] Did you ever study what light is? Did you ever see any description or teaching on light entering, and with the prism, it bending, it leaving colorful? [18:45] What comes in white, within white light, exists all the colors of the spectrum? I'm not going to teach you anything about this stuff. I can't handle it. [18:55] But I looked at that for a while. Some years ago, I looked at let there be light. And I tried to think about light. And I couldn't think very far. [19:06] The speed of light, the wavelengths of different lights, and their colors. And I thought on it, and of course I think of the sun automatically, but that's not Genesis 1, verse 3. [19:20] God is light. He dwelleth in the light, which no man can approach unto. And I thought on light, and tried to understand it. And it didn't take long, to where my brain hurt. [19:33] I started looking online, at different descriptions, and scientific studies on light. And I came across the elementary things, I could handle, but they were pretty elementary. [19:44] And I see the little poster boards, the charts, or scientific experiments on light. And then I got further into it. I came across, I guess it was more of a college textbook. I don't know what it would have been exactly. [19:56] But I'm telling you, after about four or five pages of it, my brain, I couldn't handle the words. I couldn't really process, and understand the material. Not at least at the time. [20:07] I didn't get it. It blew my mind, just to think of what that, four words, let there be light. Day one. And we just read past it, move on. [20:18] But men have put their lives, to understanding, or attempting to study, and understanding light. And light, how it travels. Here's a few things, I've printed out about this, and learned that I can handle. [20:33] That light is, electromagnetic radiation. within a certain portion, of the electromagnetic spectrum. Everybody got that? [20:44] Yeah, man. Run the bases right there. Light is electromagnetic radiation. It has physical properties to it, within a certain portion, of the electromagnetic spectrum. [20:56] If this platform, from just up here, from side to side, was the linear spectrum, of the electromagnetic field, perhaps, at least spectrum, then light, or visible light, is probably close, to just this portion, of the overall spectrum. [21:15] Visible light, which your eyes can see. And I don't know it by memory, but I know on one side, it's infrared, and the other side's ultraviolet, as you get away, from this small spectrum. [21:27] And you get into microwaves, and the other side is x-rays, and all the way to gamma rays. And I can't remember the whole layout, of the spectrum. [21:37] Forgive me. But this little tiny portion, of the entire spectrum, of the electromagnetic spectrum, is just this much, that we can perceive with our eyes. [21:49] It's classified by wavelength, and by frequency. And we perceive so little of this, because our retinas, just can't handle the rest of it. We can't really perceive it. [22:01] However, there are some, and maybe it's because, maybe we're just fallen creatures, under the curse, that some of that could be, I don't know. But there are some animals, within the animal kingdom. [22:13] And like for instance, they say that shrimp, and what's the other one? Some insects, their eyes don't have, don't require lenses. They're able to detect, on one side of our visible spectrum, some ultraviolet light. [22:28] And there are other animals, like snakes, that have pit organs, that can sense thermal imaging, which would be the infrared. And so they go a little bit further, outside of our human visible light, just a little bit, not far. [22:44] But this, I'm trying to understand, what light is. And I'm finding out, that it's, it goes far, far, far beyond, what I can even comprehend. It's incredible. [22:56] I think we could spend, a lifetime just devoted, to studying light. Let there be light, and there was light, period. Day two, you know, man has written volumes, to try to, to try to, explain and examine, and understand, something God did, in four words. [23:16] It's that deep. And yet, God moves on, to day two, where he makes a firmament, in the midst of the waters, and divides the waters, from the waters, and he calls it heaven. [23:28] And so, to understand, the sheer volume of water, just on our planet, is, is mind blowing. But to understand, the waters that are above the waters, that are above the heavens, mentioned in Psalm 148, it just goes beyond, our finite ability, to comprehend, what God did on day two, when he worked. [23:51] I mean, the firmament, the universe, the measurements, are unfathomable. They, they sent, President Biden unveiled, I don't know why, but he unveiled the picture, of where they, they're so stupid. [24:06] They're so stupid, to say that we're seeing, so far back into time, like to the beginning. I don't have time, to comment on that, but, how, how lost, these men are. [24:18] How deceived, they are, to talk the way, they talk, thinking their scientific, minds have uncovered, something. The foolishness, with man. So, day two, the water, it's, it's, unfathomable. [24:34] The, firmament, it's undetectable, by man, it's unreachable, by mortal man, what's out there. And, that's just day two. Day three, the waters, are gathered together, and dry land appears. [24:48] And then he says, in verse 11, to let the earth, bring forth grass, and herb, yielding seed, and fruit tree, yielding fruit after his kind, who seeds in itself, upon the earth, it was so. And the earth, brought forth, the third day. [24:59] I did a little looking around here, and found out that there are, over 391,000 species, of plants, known to science. [25:13] Almost 400,000 different, species of plants, known to man. That God, and this is not hybrid stuff. This is natural things, known to man. [25:25] That God said, let the earth bring forth. Just let that happen, right now. He causes the dry land, to appear, and he introduces, this wonder of plants, and vegetation, which, it thoroughly astounds me. [25:39] To no end. If you've ever dug in the dirt, worked in the garden, you're forced to consider, the wisdom, and the ability, of our God. And we can only, just comprehend, a sliver of it. [25:53] Again, there are, volumes, written, to, to uncover, and explain, and understand, what God did, in day three. I don't know, if you've ever seen, some, some of them, what they call, the Fibonacci sequence, where it shows up, in several ways, one of which is in plants, and petals on flowers, that I don't know, the details, I forget it now, but it, how it, is a pattern, that kind of spirals out, in a sequence, and it shows up in, I think, sunflowers, it shows up in, in their seeds, that is, if you, it's amazing, how this detail, and pattern, shows up in several, just, that's just one thing, to think that a, a seed, the size of your fingernail, with some water, and some soil, and some sunlight, can, sprout, and grow, 60 feet up, into the air, and then produce, just dumping out, its own, seeds of acorns, and such, and how that goes, that's, that's, blows my mind, to think about it, it's more than I can, articulate, and express, the glory, of the patterns, of the display, of color, of the shape, and sizes, of what God has done, we took a trip up, to the sequoias, [27:06] I'm thankful we did, just so that I could, see that with my eyes, and that's just one thing, there's tons of, evergreens up there, that are almost as big, or that grow as tall, and that's just one spot, on this little planet, I can't go on with it, the time would take, be gone to that, day four, the sun, the moon, and the stars, I understand that, they, scientists say, there's seven main types, of stars, based on their color, or temperature, of their burning, so they say, and, that I think, they're pretty clueless, to really what all this is, they've never landed, on a star, they can't get close to it, they can just look at it, with pictures, and try to, feed some, pick up some information, but I think most of the time, scientists in this realm, are fakers, and they're liars, they pretend to have a grasp, on the universe, they call it the known universe, because, the truth is, they have no idea, at all, what's out there, at all, they've got a sliver, but what God did, on day four, he made the stars also, did I read that, he made the stars also, in verse 16, and there's no count, to that, not that I've seen, the Bible says, he telleth the stars, meaning he counts them, he knows their number, but man, good night, he's clueless, can man even count, that high, [28:35] I don't think he can, and I don't think he ever will, so in day five, the birds, and the marine life, are created, and still today, still today, they're finding more, species, of marine life, the further, down they go, they find more, I looked this up, some years ago, and found, that, there was an article, that came out, that said, they found such and such, and then over those years, I've kind of kept my ears open to it, and then every so often, oh we found a new variety, of such and such, or a new species, of such and such, deep down in this trench, in the ocean, it's not classified, anywhere on earth, it's a new, you know, oh, that's been there, that's been there, for quite a while actually, and man's still uncovering, they say, that of birds, they say there's at least, 18,000 species, of birds, and they estimate, this is a quite a, broad estimate here, but they estimate, from 50 to 430 billion, birds, are on this planet, there's 8 million souls, but there's at least, 50 to 430 billion birds, [29:43] God help us, if we ever get attacked, we're done, they say that there are, 34,000 species, of fish, 34,000, can you name them, what do you got, 10, can you name 10, 34,000, that God made, on day 5, do you understand, this is, we just understand, just a fraction, of even just a function, of these fish, or of these birds, what God did, when God worked, I'm spending too much time, on this, but it ought to make you wonder, at least, in day 6, man and animal life, on earth, you can't study, biology without God, or you're in a total mess, you're in just, complete confusion, you can't study, the complexity, of the human eyeball, and how it's functions, you can't study, the ear, you can't study, the 27 bones, in the human hand, and not know, there's a God, you have a body, that repairs itself, it repairs itself, why if I, break this pulpit, right here, in three years, is it going to be, standing back up, is it going to fix itself, does that piano, get out of tune, is it going to repair itself, but you, and your cell, [31:04] God made you, to repair yourself, to fix yourself, bones, can grow back strong, skin, grows back, all of it, and then to get down, into the cellular level, of your proteins, and your DNA, and man still learning, about this, realizing that the most, complex computer codes, and programs, aren't even as involved, as the DNA, in any given human being, and so God did that, didn't he, in six days, and then he rested, from his work, now back to the message, when God's, when God's spirit moves, God speaks, and when God speaks, he does it for a purpose, he's going to work, and we saw there, briefly, the kind of work, that he did, but notice in a nutshell, he created, something, a place where, life, and light, can exist, that's what he was doing, in chapter one here, when the spirit of the Lord, moves today, it's still going on, [32:07] God is working, in your life, to create a place, where life can exist, where light, can dwell, inside of you, take a look with me, again, keep your place, but go to second Corinthians, chapter number four, second Corinthians four, if you're lost, and don't have Jesus Christ, you don't know, him as your savior, then the spirit of the Lord, will speak to you, and he'll attempt, to work in you, to create in you, a place, where life, can dwell, where light, can get in, and can shine, look at verse three, but if our gospel, be hid, it is hid to them, that are lost, in whom the God, of this world, hath blinded the minds, of them, which believe not, lest the light, of the glorious gospel, of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine, unto them, for we preach, not ourselves, but Christ Jesus, the Lord, and ourselves, your servants, for Jesus sake, for God, who commanded the light, to shine out of darkness, hath shined, in our hearts, to give the light, of the knowledge, of the glory of God, in the face, of Jesus Christ, take a look, at one more verse, in Acts chapter 26, come back to the left, a little bit, [33:42] Acts 26, God looks on a lost life, and a lost soul, and he sees it, that their life, and soul, is without form, and void, and darkness, all over it, and he sends forth, the light, the glorious light, of the gospel, of Christ, to create a place, in there, where life can exist, look at, Acts chapter 26, and verse 28, Paul's commission, and calling, is to preach, the gospel, to the Gentiles, and in verse 18, 26, 18, to open their eyes, to turn them, from darkness, to light, and from the power, of Satan, unto God, that they may receive, forgiveness of sins, and inheritance, among them, which are sanctified, by faith, that is in me, the Lord God, wants to create, a place, where life can dwell, and he sends forth, the light first, and as the light, gets in, and takes hold, inside, he creates, a firmament, a new creature, fire, he actually, separates, as we'll see, the waters, from the waters, he separates, some things, on the inside, and if you're saved, today, and that light, has come in, and it's transformed, that, that life, that was in darkness, without form, and void, and transformed it, into something, that he would say, it was good, something, that he's pleased with, the spirit, of the Lord, has been moving, and God's been speaking, and God's been working, he's been working, you ever hear that song, he's still working on me, to make me, what I ought to be, it took him just a week, to make the moon, and stars, the sun, and the earth, and Jupiter, and Mars, how loving, and patient, he must be, he's still working, on me, he's still working, when the spirit, of the Lord moves, [35:45] God speaks, from that still, small voice, he seeks to work, inside of your life, to do, something similar, to what we just read, through Genesis 1, and then come to, back to Genesis, again please, and when the Lord's moving, he's not just, doing things in chaos, but rather, there's some, some divine order, to this, and I want to show you, one more thing, that happens, when God works, as he works, he's doing something, and it shows up, a good bit here, and so starting, in verse 4 again, God saw the light, that it was good, and notice this, God divided, the light, from the darkness, he divided, the light, from the darkness, but that's not, the only time, in verse 6, and God said, let there be a ferment, in the midst of the waters, and let it divide, the waters, from the waters, and God made the ferment, and divided the waters, which run to the ferment, from the waters, which were above the ferment, and it was so, down in verse 9, [36:50] God said, let the waters, under heaven, be gathered together, unto one place, and let the dry land, appear, another division there, or separation, in verse number 14, God said, let there be lights, in the ferment, of the heaven, why? [37:05] to divide, the day, from the night, and let them be, for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and for years, one more, again in verse 18, following this, same day forward, to rule over the day, and over the night, and to divide the light, from the darkness, and God saw, that it was good, did you notice, that when the spirit, of the Lord moves, God speaks, and as he speaks, he's working, and as he works, he divides, he divides, and day one, it was the light, from the darkness, and day two, it was water, from water, creating a firmament, or an atmosphere, for life, an atmosphere, where life, can be sustained, and where growth, can occur, and day three, he gathers the water, separates the dry land, and know what he does there, he creates another, essential element, for life, for growth, something stable, something you can build upon, he can build upon, and day four, where he divides, those seasons, and day and night, and years, and if we're going to talk about, plant growth, and growing, the optimal thing, is to have it, light, and dark, and rest, and God knows, what he's doing, he sets the thing up, and in this working, of God, in chapter one, we see, he's the author, of separation, the author, of division, and the reason is, because some things, don't belong together, some things, cannot exist, together, and God separates them, and when the spirit, of the Lord moves, in your life, [38:46] God's going to divide, just like chapter one, God separates things, that don't belong together, we're going to go, to Ephesians, you can lose, well keep your place, sorry we're going to come back, one more time, Ephesians chapter five, quickly, Ephesians five, and I'm going to grab, first John chapter one, while you're turning, Ephesians five, and verse number eight, the Bible says, for you were sometimes, darkness, but God separated that, didn't he, and now, are ye light, in the Lord, walk as children of light, in verse 11, he says, have no fellowship, with the unfruitful works, of darkness, there needs to be a division, but rather, reprove them, for it's a shame, even to speak of those things, which are done of them, in secret, but all things, that are reproved, are made manifest, by the light, for whatsoever, doth make manifest, is light, wherefore he saith, awake thou, that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ, shall give thee light, see then, that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil, wherefore, be ye not unwise, but understanding, what the will of the Lord is, and the will of the Lord, is in the light, and it's you walking, in the light, in 1 John chapter 1 verse 5, this then is the message, which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him, is no darkness at all, if we say, that we have fellowship, with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth, but if we walk, in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship, one with another, in the blood of Jesus Christ, his son, cleanseth us, from all sins, [40:39] God separates, the water, from the dry land, God creates, a solid foundation, to build upon, when God divides, his purposes, in that division, is to make something better, the light, is better, than the darkness, the firmament, is better, than the waters, the dry land, is better, than the seas, any man, that goes out to sea, for any length of time, wants to get back, to dry land, you might, be on dry land, for a long time, say I just want to get out there, on the water, but it won't be long, until you're coming back, to kiss the dry land, it's better, God knows it's better, he made some divisions, and his purposes, are to make things better, so when, God divides, in your life, he's trying to make you better, he's trying to make, the place for you, to grow better, you'll grow better, in the light, than in the darkness, you'll grow better, with solid ground, rooted, and grounded, in the truth, than being unstable, out there, with the wicked, which the Bible says, are like the troubled sea, but cannot rest, now ultimately, come back to Genesis 1, [41:58] I want to bring this, to a point, a point that you need to get, in all of this, this morning, the spirit of the Lord moves, remember it's a rare thing, in the Bible to see that, those words, and when the spirit of the Lord moves, we see God speaks, and as he speaks, he works, and in that working, he's dividing, and separating, for one ultimate reason, and I want you to notice this, in verse number 26, verse 27, and God said, let us make man, in our image, after our likeness, and let them have dominion, over the fish, in the sea, and over the fowl, the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing, that creepeth upon the earth, verse 27, so God created man, in his own image, in the image of God, created he him, male and female, created he them, you realize, that when God's spirit, moves in your life, and when he speaks to you, and when he works in your life, and he calls for that division, and he tries to create, an environment for growth, where fruit can abound, you know why he's doing, all of that, is because, he wants to make you, like him, he wants to create in you, a man after his own image, there's some things, that need to be, separated, and moved apart, [43:32] God's, he's not trying to fellowship, with the planets, he's not creating, the plant life, so that he can love them, but he wants to create you, to be like him, and have fellowship, God wants fellowship, with us, the spirit of the Lord moves, because he wants to make you, like him, he wants to make a man, or a woman, that can walk with him, that can worship him, the way he should be worshipped, that can walk in the light, and in truth, and when God's spirit moves, it's not about getting excited, it's not about the blow up, and the noise, and the crazy atmosphere, it's about God changing you, that's why he moves, that's why he speaks to you, he wants to change you, do you think your father, would ever speak to you, and steer you wrong, do you think he'd ever try, to get something out of you, that but I like it so much, do you think he's wrong, do you not think he knows better, he that made man, do you not know, that your father in heaven, wants to change you, now do you see, why some people, don't want to hear his voice, because they don't want to change, they don't want to give up, what they have, they don't want to give up, what they are enjoying, they don't want to be devoted to him, and so they resist his voice, from the beginning, when the spirit of the Lord moves, they don't have ears to hear, they're dull of hearing, this morning, do you know for sure, that you've passed, from death, unto life, do you have eternal life, if you died right now, if not, your life is what we began with, just without form and void, and in darkness, no life, no light, and you're on your way to hell, but if you've heard the voice of God, and responded, and allowed him, to create in you a new man, and in that environment, of the new man, that new creature, he wants to take over, he doesn't have any use, for the darkness, he wants to separate some things, he wants that new man, to grow, and to be like him, he wants control of you, and he starts by speaking to you, and as you hear his voice, and respond, he's able to work in your life, and as he works in your life, he starts moving some things out, and separating some things, the way he sees fit, when God's spirit moves, it's about changing you, to being like him, why would God do that, well it's because God's not satisfied, with anybody, in this room, not one of us, he's patient, he's long suffering, but he's not content, he wants to make a man, or a woman, to be more like him, [46:42] I wonder this morning, if that's what you want, if that's what you're willing, to submit to, I want you to prepare yourself, and know from now on, when God speaks to me, this is what he's trying to do, he's not trying to hurt me, he's not trying to twist me, and hang me over the fire, oh I'm afraid of God, because he's going to send me to Africa, no he's not, he's trying to clean you up, he's trying to get glory, out of your life, because he deserves it, God forbid that we rebel, against the voice of God, in our hearts, let's bow our heads together, I wonder if, I wonder if this morning, if the spirit of the Lord is moving, to the Lord is going, that we do, so, and then, thank you for listening, that we need to bring, to the Lord is going. [47:31] Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
