Worshipping is not just for the happy times in life, God wants us to come to him even through the difficult times. “If you just bring God the pieces he can mend any broken heart”.

(During the service, Russ ripped up a paper heart in front of the congregation and at the end showed that it was in fact still whole)

This morning we explore this Psalm, written for a King and his wife on their wedding day and reflect on ourselves, the Church, often referred to as the Bride of Christ. What’s people’s enduring picture of His Church, what do they say of us and do they write well of us?

Are we His Church beautiful and fit for the King of Kings?

When we face storms, when we face troubles or problems, and we have no other solution, when we are tired, we are hurt. We are low, when we see no solution, and God is silent with no intervention. He calls us to be still, and this stillness is full of peace. He calls us to submit to him in everything we do and wait patiently on him. And he will intervene. We just need to be still and wait upon him with faith and trust because, in the waiting, he is turning our mess into a message. Wait and trust in him.
