[19:03] He is love. And someone wrote this, a man called Baxter in Explore the book, I quote, He never fails the soul that trusts in Him. Though disappointments come and hope burns dim, He never fails. Though trials surge like stormy seas abound, though testings fierce like ambushed foes abound, yet this my soul with millions more has found, He never fails. [19:35] He never fails. He never fails the soul that trusts in Him. Though angry skies with thunder clouds grow grim, He never fails. Though icy blasts life's fairest flowers lay low, though earthly springs of joy all cease to flow. Yes, still tis true, with millions more I know. [20:01] He never fails. He never fails. He never fails the soul that trusts in Him. Though sorrow's cup should overflow the brim, He never fails. Though off the pilgrim way seems rough and long. I shall yet stand amid yon white robe throng. [20:23] And there I'll sing with millions more this song, He never fails. He never fails. You know, He's writing there that He never fails. It's so true, isn't it? [20:34] Jesus never fails. We know earthly help can fail, but Christ will never fail. His love is never failing. Love never fails. And this is the kind of Calvary love that took Him to Calvary's hill for you, for me. The love that held Him to the cross was more than the nails. It was His love that held Him there for you. [20:58] His unfailing love. And this is the kind of love that our Lord bestows upon us. And what He shows to us, what He gives to us, His faithfulness, it's new every morning. We have so much to thank Him for, day by day. [21:10] The love of God is greater far than Tarn or Pen can ever tell. You know, though the sky was a parchment, you couldn't fill it to describe His love. [21:23] We have so much to thank Him for. The love. The love that goes the distance. The love of Calvary. And look at the distance that Christ went for you. To go from Heaven's glory to Earth's shame to Calvary's cross. [21:39] The distance that He travelled. The distance between glory and Calvary. That's the distance that His love went. And it's still going still. It's still going still. [21:50] His love. He's still extending His love. To us, saved or unsaved, His love is still beckoning. For some, they spurn His love. [22:02] They spurn His love. They spit in His face still. And reject Him still. They cast Him aside as nothing, as a swear word still. [22:15] Yet He still extends His love gift, His love offer to mankind. Yet one day, the door will close. There'll be no more mercy. It'll just be wrath. [22:27] Turn to Him now while there's still time to trust Him. Turn to Him now. Young people, older people today, His love is reaching out still today. The love that went all the way and His love that still continues till today. [22:42] It beckons for us. Friends, it's selfless love. Selfless love. Charity suffers long. It's kind. It doesn't envy. [22:52] It's not puffed up. It's not rude or selfish and seeking its own. It's not easily provoked. This is the love of Christ to you. [23:03] And shouldn't we have that selfless love too? He wants you to. He wants us to have that love that goes beyond the human bounds, the human limits. [23:14] You know, you might love and be spurned that love that you give. And it's hard when that happens. I know, I'm sure, we can all think of such things. [23:25] But love that is selfless goes beyond your own human capacity. God will give you that selfless love as He gives it to us. That truthful love, that truthful love doesn't rejoice in the world and its sin and iniquity. [23:41] It doesn't rejoice in the world and its falsehoods and lies. But it rejoices in the truth, the truth of salvation, the truth of His Word. [23:52] You make it personal, you live it, you have that relationship of love with your Lord and Master. that truth that builds a life that is founded on that foundation of truth and righteousness. [24:07] And you can bear all things, you can believe all things, you can hope all things, you can endure all things. It's truthful love and lastly, it's unfailing love, charity, never faileth. [24:18] That love of God is greater far. His love is loving the unconditional love of God. To think, you know, some would think as it's commonly said, and I know young people and older people, including a lady I've been talking to by email have been trying to witness to who's of the Sikh religion, trying to explain that our salvation is not dependent, it's not founded upon our doing anything. [24:51] Our effort, our greatest efforts are falling short, but it's dependent upon what he has done. It's dependent upon his dying for us as our substitute, the one standing in our place, in that place, standing in our place, that in that sinless body was our sin. [25:19] We can't fathom it, can we? That in that sinless body that was Christ, as it were, God poured into that sinless body, if you like, our sin. [25:30] Because the Bible says that he bore! our sins in his own body on the tree. And when you realise that, when you personally acknowledge that and receive that, that wonder of Calvary, that you can receive that exchange of your sin for his righteousness, then a miracle happens, doesn't it? [26:04] And it's the miracle of his love, that he would extend it to us. God demonstrates his love towards us. he commends his love towards us in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. [26:19] And friends, just to close, I urge you tonight, you can have love, the world has love, the world calls things that are not really love, love, that fall far short. [26:36] Love as God defines it, 1 Corinthians 13, it goes beyond human emotion or physical attraction or circumstantial things. The love of God is not dependent on our worthiness and our reciprocating to others is not dependent on our receiving. [26:58] It's sacrificial love, it's selfless, self-sacrificial love, it's truthful love, it's unfailing love. Let us pray. Lord, we thank you today, dear God, for Calvary. [27:09] We pray, Lord, if there's any who have yet to trust you, that they might acknowledge, Lord, their sin and the only payment that can be made for it that is going to be any good to pay for it is the blood that you shed. [27:24] Lord, in that cross you took the sin payment and penalty. Thank you, Lord, for your love that you demonstrated towards sinful man. And, Lord, in repentance we cry out, we cry out, Lord, we thank you for mercy and grace, we can receive today. [27:41] We pray for young and old today, that each one might know what it is to have that kind of love, personally, that love relationship with you, to learn to love you, to love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, with all thy mind, with all thy soul, with all thy strength. [27:58] Help us, Lord, to do so, and to love our neighbour as ourself. Help us to love the unlovely, the unloving, those that might even reject our love, that we might be a witness to you, to them, Lord, that they might know that wonderful love of God that is greater far than tongue or pen can ever tell. [28:20] We thank you for it, Lord, and help us to live, to walk in love, to walk in that light, and to live a life that is going to bless you and honour you. [28:34] We pray for your glory, in Jesus' name, Amen. Amen.
