[16:31] schools have become indoctrination centers that exert a powerful influence over the next generation here's what abraham lincoln said the philosophy of the school room in one generation will it be will be the philosophy of the government in the next it's true isn't it what your children are getting your children your grandchildren uh there's in the uh those indoctrination centers called schools uh they're they're getting these values uh so-called values and the real values are being eroded it's like they're killing the australian way of life and our children are actually being indoctrinated to become political activists so they're getting all this leftist agenda so that's what they're going to be believing and spouting and following when they become adults what is truth that is the question it was pilot's question of our lord and truth was staring pilot square in the face but he couldn't see it on another front there's a call these days i'm just giving you some examples of the erosion of truth so bear with me while i'm elaborating i believe there's a scriptural context a scriptural connection to what i'm saying because we can see in the current events of news of current events that there's a there's a connection with what the bible tells will happen so one of the big things lately is the great reset of the global economy the great reset they're calling it so what it means is a fundamental change in the economy society politics in response to the covert 19 pandemic basically the great reset is the destruction of capitalism it's basically communism socialism the great reset would could lead to increased government control over the economy and the erosion of personal freedoms think of what's been happening the last two or three years especially this erosion of personal freedoms and intruding even into our worship such that we had to wear masks and all that stuff and there's much talk now of new variants and there's this crafting of the news that we hear there's a constant threat another threat another variant another danger another lockdown another restriction to control people and take away freedom of choice talks of new strains of covert calls for more shots more and more shots get another shot and vaccine passports now i know there's different views amongst us some of us have been vaccinated some of us have not i'm not saying uh necessarily one thing or the other i'm just saying there's a conditioning there's a constant messaging there's a mantra here that the shots are going to save you the vaccine passports are going to save us all of this talk and you wonder where's the truth the facts are supposedly healthy and safe but there's all these reports that are kind of being filtered out of adverse events of vaccine failure people dying suddenly i think we've been lied to by government i think we've been lied to people i think there's some danger out there another factor in this war against the truth is how the leftists are protesting more and more in radical ways there's some crazy antics people gluing themselves to make a point and causing all kinds of stirring you know going into art museums and gluing themselves i know in recent news i heard there's people in adelaide that glued themselves to some bicycles with the tour down under because it's sponsored by santos they've obviously they're destroying the planet so they've got to glue themselves to bicycles to make a point to protest uh in more and more radical ways and this is the leftist agenda they've been on the rejection of what's even more telling is the rejection of traditional social hierarchies redefining the concept of family these are fundamentals that are not to be redefined god says a man and a woman for life that's marriage he doesn't there's no other definition

[28:38] as ignorant as ignorant as can be because there is false knowledge and it's more dangerous than ignorance so many people fall into this trap they do not know the truth think about our world and where it's going now again i'm using some matters to illustrate the point here it's like we can expect more and more totalitarian government i'll put to you there's almost a an appetite for that now isn't it oh we've got to protect the population from covid from whatever it be from whatever the next uh plague is whatever the next epidemic is we need government to protect us we need government to save us we need this or that that the government's telling us we need to save us to save the planet now there's a novel called brave new world now i haven't read this book and i'm just reading from quotes about it but the brave new world it tells about a society where the government uses advanced technology to control the population where people are genetically engineered and conditioned and controlled controlled through technology through drugs through psychological manipulation and this novel brave new world in this novel it says that the object of this government is conformity of the cost of personal freedom and we see this book it's giving a kind of warning about the dangers of technology and what it could bring to a society now of course we know we're not against technology necessarily especially it's ideal when it works but we know technology is a good thing in many ways but we see that this there's an increasing appetite for surveillance isn't there there's cameras everywhere and as i was talking about recently about shops where you you you walk in and walk out you don't even go to the cashier because the the cameras have already captured what you've bought who you are they've recognized your identity you're on their database so they know your credit card you'll just get charged as you walk out the door easy peasy another novel 1984 tells about a government run by big brother who exercises total control over every aspect of the citizens lives and the book 1984 tells about a government again using constant surveillance propaganda punishment to maintain power and suppress dissent and this government in this novel employs the thought police so even your thoughts have got to be governed to monitor citizens and eliminate any hints of dissent you don't say anything against the government or what the government agenda is and so citizens are stopped from having any dissenting thoughts and they have to yield blind obedience to the state and this novel warns about the dangers of totalitarianism so in other words a government without restraint without any checks and balances a government that's totally dictating a government that's got complete control over every aspect of people's lives and this novel portrays the dangers of censorship and propaganda it tells how it can be used to control and manipulate society now i'm not recommending either book today definitely not there there's some elements that we wouldn't endorse you know the brave new world 1984 but the point i'm trying to make is even secular writers have seen this kind of seen this kind of agenda that could unfold and one thing george orwell said is this however much you deny the truth the truth goes on existing now they can deny the truth the government of our day can tell us marriage has been redefined now uh you know all kinds of sinfulness is now to be celebrated and to be taught to your children so they know how to become this perverse kind of idea about how they

[36:44] against us and so we know what it's like to be hated and to be spoken against and to be you know mocked and and scorned and and stigmatized and and falsehood said about us slander the bible says rejoice and be exceeding glad for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you now there's a there's a reward there the lord jesus says rejoice and be exceeding glad it's got the sense of jump for joy now when you are persecuted when someone ridicules you for standing for christ for doing something for the lord don't be ashamed we're called to be such a people a people of truth so let's be the ones that stand for what is right even though it go against popular opinion have the courage to speak the truth and that can be hard we know in work settings in social settings it can be hard but god will give you the opportunity and you can exercise the tact to speak the truth we're called to speak the truth and even when it is difficult the bible talks about speaking the truth in love phasians 4 verse 15 so friends let's be alert that the truth is being redefined today the bible declares absolute truth what truth is our source for truth is not the opinions of men it's not the opinions of the world the opinions of preachers but it is the word of god this is the definition of truth god's truth the word of god and it's by the truth the word of god that we can discern truth from lies our lord talks about the spirit of truth how he's going to guide us into all truth so we cannot stay silent when we know the truth the prophet jeremiah said over time he said i will not mention of him and i'll speak any more in his name but his word was in my heart as a burning fire shut up in my bones and i was wearing with forbearing and i could not stay you know when god puts his word into your heart you can't help but tell it and friends we've got a truth to tell we must speak up even if our words are met with resistance or hostility friends the transformative power of the gospel is the only real solution for mankind today there's many lies being told today again think of the lies that we're constantly being told masculinity is inherently negative that's what they're telling us so you that are men that look like a man that act like a man that's toxic toxic masculinity you've got to be a little little wimpy you know sensitive new age guy you know don't be a masculine man is what they're telling you the bible says masculinity is a good thing it's good to be a man be a man more especially be a man of god a man who stands for the truth a man with courage a man with conviction there's a good kind of masculinity of course we're not endorsing men being ogres and you know under the thumb kind of you know dictatorial a a man that's uh you know basically a a braggart and a big shot and just putting everybody down but there's a godly masculinity that's a good thing and these ones are telling us that the new thought police are saying that deviant sexuality is good it should be encouraged no sir there's no room for any accommodation for anything other than marriage as the place for that and they're telling us capitalism is inherently bad so there's this thought of um universal basic income so basically uh you get to eat no matter what but the bible says if you don't work you don't eat there's a sense where work is is a valuable thing of course you might get so old in life that you can't work and that's understood but you can hopefully have savings or preparations such that you

[40:45] are funding your own retirement but we've been told that patriarchy is all bad so oh we've got a a female pastor in our church and uh oh you know there's a sense where patriarchy is seen as something that is bad where really the bible calls the men to be men to stand up and be the man to be the man to be the man of the house to be the the man who is a standing in the gap there's a call to men to be men to rise up and be man you know to be brave quit you like men in other words act like man have courage have boldness and so the world is telling us all these warped values which are contrary to the bible the bible says let every man speak truth to his neighbor so think of it for yourself are you one who speaks truth someone has said if everybody were just like me what kind of church would this church be if we all just have that attitude where we don't really realize the church is you and me it's all of us doing all of our parts and friends the truth has fallen in the street the truth has fallen in the street we've missed something we've become way too tolerant and compromising as a nation there's an accommodation of error it's been said that it's on small hinges that big doors swing if you accommodate one little thing it's a wide opening of all sorts of things now talking about this theme of truth a phrase that people often use to describe the ultimate truth is the expression the gospel truth the gospel truth now really this is probably the most important point i want to make today is that there's many false ideas about what the gospel is i know when we're going door knocking when you're doing witnessing in your own ways you come across people with many false ideas and they say oh yeah i'll go to church oh yeah i've been baptized yeah i've done my catechism class and and i've um yeah i give to charity oh i i live by the ten commandments as as much as i can and i try to live right and they think that that is the gospel they cannot articulate the gospel that's not the gospel it's not the way to be saved it's not about baptism it's not about living right it's not about trying to be good it's not about your works all manner of good works none of your works it's about christ it's about christ and him crucified do you know jesus as your lord and savior have you trusted in his dying on your part have you trusted his blood shed for your sins to be forgiven the most essential truth is how to be saved and it's really staggering like i say when you're talking with people when you're conversing with people oh yeah i'm a christian i think i'm a christian how do you become a christian oh well um you know the i said a prayer or or you know there was this or that that i've done or yeah i've um i've done these good things i go to church every so often and so i'm a christian but the bible says it's not of that it's trusting christ as your lord and savior it's by faith that you are saved it's not of works lest any man should boast it's by faith by god's grace you're saved so don't kid yourself today if you think well i think i'm a christian the bible says believe on the lord jesus christ and thou shalt be saved it's it's faith it's believing on the lord jesus christ that saves people in churches many churches are being taught lies it's not by works of righteousness that we have done it's not of works that we have done lest any man should boast this is the gospel truth and you know we come across it all the time i've had people saying oh you've got to keep the law oh you've got to worship on a sabbath or you've got to speak in tongues or you've got to have you've got to be a good person to get to

[44:50] heaven none of that rubbish it's not that it's by faith you're saved through grace it's not not of yourselves it's the gift of god the gift of god you mustn't confuse that now that's not to say once you are saved grow as a christian once you are saved yes go to church once you are saying get in the bible once you are saved do good works once you are saved live right live holy do right do godly but that's not the saving part that's the after the saving friends we live in a world where there's lies everywhere lies are prevailing and it seems like we can make little or no impact how can we speak truth in a world of lies where truth seems to have lost its value we must be people of truth so i urge you today have the courage to speak the truth to others to speak the truth to your neighbor it says live it out let's be a faithful people in the face of a world of lies a world where where the truth has fallen in the street and really the gospel truth is the ultimate truth isn't it how to be saved that you will place your trust in christ as savior that you would trust him alone to save you it's not faith plus it's faith alone faith alone it's christ has done everything absolutely everything he's done 100 of what needs to be done to save you simply trust that simply trust him trust his saving grace and then he'll lead you on he'll help you grow he'll make you strong you can grow in that relationship as you are the son of god the daughter of god now he is your father that's a relationship that never stops he is always your father so trust him now trust him now that's the gospel truth we must know the truth and lift the truth in a world where the truth has fallen in the street and true change and hope only comes through that personal relationship with jesus christ and that starts as you trust him it starts there if you know the truth the truth shall make you free the truth shall make you free are you in the truth and we receive that by faith the lord says according to your faith be it unto you trust in him today let us pray lord we thank you that you are the truth the way the truth and the life we thank you your word is the word of truth thank you lord that your truth is unchanging it's forever it's not redefined as much as men may try it's absolute it's never changing lord and this gospel truth that we can trust you as our savior we pray each one might have that trust that it's not trusting in our own works or what our church tells us or what the priest has said to us or what we've done to save ourselves lord it's about what you have done that's our only saving hope is that you died on the cross for our sin lord that you are the savior of the world for those that trust you lord we can know that that gift that you give but we praise you pray for each one here today for our families our lives ahead for this nation of australia for your grace upon us for our governors for the leaders of our land lord of every persuasion lord may your grace prevail may truth prevail may righteousness exalt this nation lord we pray for wisdom but especially we pray for salvation that people might know how to be saved and to simply trust that saving gospel truth that you save to the utmost those that come unto you lord we pray for each one to know that heart trust today and thank you lord for this time we've shared together in jesus name amen
