[0:00] Acts chapter 1, beginning verse 4. This is going to be Jesus speaking. And being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem,! but wait for the promise of the Father, which saith he, ye have heard of me.

And really, there's two promises that are here that I want to point out, the first one being Jesus' promise that we would receive power after the Holy Ghost comes upon us to be witnesses unto him.

[2:38] And secondly, the second promise comes from the two men in white apparel that promised that Jesus, who was taken up from us into heaven, through that cloud, that Jesus will return in the same way that he went.

[2:51] Amen. And I'm looking forward to that promise coming true. Amen. But for now, the disciples were to go to Jerusalem and wait for the baptism of the Holy Ghost. Amen.

[3:01] So we pick up in Acts 2, verse 1. Acts 2, verse 1. And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place, and suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind.

[5:08] And in the next chapter, after exercising that power of the Holy Ghost and healing the lame man, Peter says something very interesting and adds to what the two men in white apparel had promised, that Jesus would return in the same way he went after healing the lame man.

[6:52] And I pray, God, that this congregation would receive your word today. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen. Amen. You may be seated. Amen. God has a plan. It may seem like whoever's running the world right now doesn't seem to have a plan, but let me tell you, God has a plan.

[7:09] God has a plan of refreshing. He has a plan of restoration. Amen. But that's not all. God has an ultimate plan for the complete restitution of all things.

[7:19] Amen. Which the Bible says God has spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began. Amen. Since the world began, since a man would speak, amen, on behalf of God, as God would move upon a man all through the Old Testament, these holy prophets were speaking, amen, about what was to come.

[7:41] Amen. God has spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began that there's going to be restitution of all things. If you don't get anything else from what you hear me say today, get this.

[7:53] God has an ultimate plan, and we have an opportunity to be a part of the plan, the ultimate plan of God. Amen. And that plan that God has begins at Pentecost for us.

[8:05] Amen. I want to be involved in God's ultimate plan. Amen. God's plan is to fully restore his creation from that pre-fallen state. Amen. We're in the garden.

[8:18] Amen. And he wants to restore us to that place. He wants, God wants to restore all of creation and humanity to the original sinless state. That's the whole big plan. Amen.

[8:28] God's plan is to completely reverse all the works of the devil, to completely eliminate all the effects of Adam's disobedience to the word of God.

[8:38] Amen. But it doesn't end there beyond the restoration. God's ultimate plan for us is that the restitution of all things. Amen. There's restoration and there's restitution.

[8:50] And Pentecost, the day of Pentecost that we celebrate and remember today is the beginning of the restoration and the beginning of the restitution of all things.

[9:01] Amen. Pentecost is the most important thing that's in the world right now. Amen. Pentecost is the most important and vital thing that you could encounter in your life on this earth.

[9:14] Amen. We need to be thankful that we are Pentecostals. Amen. We have experienced Pentecost. If you've experienced Pentecost, you need to be thankful for that.

[9:24] Amen. It's somewhat rare in the religious realms and circles of this world today. Amen. If you have experienced Pentecost, if you're in contact with Pentecost, amen, and you've experienced that, you are blessed.

[9:39] If you get to experience Pentecost in your life, you are blessed beyond measure. Amen. Jesus told his disciples, blessed are your eyes for they see and blessed are your ears for they hear.

[9:51] Amen. We are blessed today that we get to know Pentecost. Amen. And to be able to relate ourselves back to Pentecost. And if you have experienced Pentecost, if you have seen it, if you've seen what I've seen and heard what I've heard, then you're blessed.

[10:07] Amen. We are privileged today that we have experienced Pentecost and we are living in Pentecost. Amen. Amen. We need to understand this today.

[10:17] Pentecost is so significant in God's ultimate plan. Amen. Pentecost is going to get us to be fully restored and ultimately get us to the time of restitution of all things.

[10:30] Pentecost means 50 and it's celebrated 50 days after the celebration of the Passover. The day of Pentecost was the completion of seven Sabbaths from the Passover.

[10:41] Amen. Amen. We know the feast of the Passover was to remember and be thankful for the time that God miraculously delivered the people out of Egypt. And his wrath passed over them because they had applied the blood of an innocent lamb to the doorposts of their house.

[10:59] Amen. And we look at the Passover and at the cross and we say that's important and it's vitally important. And it was so important.

[11:10] But God giving his blood for the sins of his people. Amen. And if we apply the blood, we get our personal Passover. Amen. When you go down in Jesus' name, when you repent of your sins and you combine that with being baptized in Jesus' name for the remission of your sins.

[11:26] Amen. You are applying the blood of an innocent lamb. Amen. That was that God came and robed himself in flesh to be our sacrifice. Amen. And you are applying the Passover to yourself.

[11:37] Amen. When you do that. Amen. Because they had to apply the innocent blood of a lamb to do that. And so it was important. It's vital. Amen. But the resurrection and the ascension of Jesus is just as important and powerful as the cross.

[11:54] Because if Jesus didn't get up out of the tomb and then get up into heaven through that cloud, there would have not been a Pentecost. And Pentecost is important.

[12:05] It was on the day of Pentecost, the spirit of Christ was poured out. And if you have the Holy Ghost today, that same spirit that raised Christ from the dead is the same spirit you were baptized with on your personal day of Pentecost.

[12:19] Amen. I'm so thankful that I had a personal day of Pentecost. And I've been filled with his spirit. But Jesus, after he was raised from the dead, had to go to heaven and send back his spirit.

[12:31] It was important that he do that. Jesus said in John chapter 16, verse 7, Nevertheless, I tell you the truth. It is expedient for you that I go away. For if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you.

[12:45] But if I depart, I will send him unto you. And it is Christ in you that brings restoration. Amen. And the restoration is what is taking place even now in the dispensation that we live today.

[13:00] But also it is the beginning of the ultimate plan of restitution that God intends. The restoration is the initial beginning of the reversal of the effects that sin and disobedience had on creation and on humanity.

[13:15] Amen. And that is already taking place. That restoration was initiated by the outpouring of the Holy Ghost on the day of Pentecost. Amen. Do you understand the gravity of what we're talking about today?

[13:28] We have the opportunity to have the spirit of God reside inside of us. Amen. It is the beginning of restoration. Amen. The promise.

[13:39] It was a promise. It's a gift. It was given to us. Amen. His spirit to be able to begin the restoration process to bring us back into perfect communion and relationship with God that we lost.

[13:51] Amen. Because of sin. Amen. I thank God for it today. Praise God. Praise God. Praise God. I'm talking about two different things today though. I'm talking about the restoration.

[14:02] But I'm also talking about restitution. The last verses we read in the opening scriptures. Repent ye therefore and be converted that your sins may be blotted out. When the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord.

[14:18] And then verse 21. Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things. And it ends which God has spoken by the mouth of his prophets since the world began.

[14:32] The heavens had to receive the glorified Jesus for now. And in the meantime two things are going on. In the beginning time of refreshing and restoration.

[14:46] And we don't really articulate it very well. And we use a word called revival. Amen. Who wants revival? Amen.

[14:56] We want to go to a church that's in revival. Amen. You don't want to come to a dead church. Amen. There's 13 other churches. You can go there and nod and smile. If that's your greatest exuberant praise you want to provide to God.

[15:12] There's a bunch of other options. Amen. This is an apostolic, tongue-talking, holy, rolling, Jesus-named church. Amen. I want to feel the fire of God.

[15:23] I want to feel the fire of the Spirit of God every time I come into a service. Amen. Amen. So we call it revival. But what it is, is it's a time of refreshing. It's a time of restoration.

[15:35] It's a time that we get to allow God's Spirit to move in us and work in us. Amen. And let His Spirit work in the world through us. Amen. And that is through the Holy Ghost.

[15:45] Amen. And the second thing is until the time of the restitution of all things. The day of Pentecost immediately brought refreshing and restoration and it set the stage.

[15:58] It kicked off. It began the countdown for the times of the restitution of all things. There's a difference between restoration and restitution. Restoration has to do with renewing or repairing something to its original state.

[16:13] Amen. And that is the purpose of God, to undo the works of the devil. Amen. Amen. In this case, the perfect human creation. Right. And so restoring the relationship between sinful us and our holy God.

[16:27] Your personal Pentecost is the beginning of the renewing and the restoration of that original sinless you. That should be. Amen. That's restoration.

[16:38] And then what is restitution? Restitution has to do with something beyond restoration. And that is making something right. Amen. Making something right.

[16:48] Beyond just restoring creation and humanity in the kingdom of God back to its original sinless state. Restitution has to do with making things right.

[16:59] Amen. Making things right. Think about all the devastation that sin, when it was introduced into this world and to our lives as humanity.

[17:09] All the devastation that is brought and all the lost souls as a result of it. And all the separation from God. And all the things that sin has brought into this world. Amen. Somebody ought to get mad at the devil for doing what he did.

[17:23] Amen. But be thankful to God that he has an ultimate plan that we get to be a part of. Amen. Through the baptism of the Holy Ghost is the beginning. Amen. Of that restoration. But there's going to be restitution too.

[17:36] Amen. He's not going to just restore us back to the place that we were meant to be from the beginning. But there's going to be some restitution that takes place. Amen. Amen. Beyond just restoring creation and humanity in the kingdom of God back to his original sinless state.

[17:51] Restitution is going to be done. Amen. And God's going to make things right. Restitution is going to be compensation is what it is. Amen. We're not going to just get back to where we're supposed to be.

[18:03] But we're going to be compensated. Amen. There's going to be restitution for what's happened. Amen. And it's promised in God's word. And it began on the day of Pentecost. Amen. God's ultimate plan isn't just to restore us.

[18:16] Amen. But to reward the faithful and to hold the evil accountable. Amen. Amen. And the faithful are going to be rewarded. And I promise you the evil are going to be held accountable.

[18:28] Amen. Here's the principle of restitution. We can find it in Exodus chapter 22 verse 1. If a man shall steal an ox or a sheep and kill it or sell it, he shall restore five oxen for an ox and four sheep for a sheep.

[18:45] All right. So this says to restore five oxen. Restore five oxen for an ox and restore four sheep for a sheep.

[18:56] That's not just restoration. Restoration would be giving an ox for an ox. Restitution involves a penalty to the thief and an increase to the victim.

[19:07] Amen. Amen. The devil is a liar. Amen. The devil is the thief that stole. Amen. That manipulated and stole what we had.

[19:17] Amen. And we gave it up because of what happened in the garden. Right. Amen. But we're not going to just get restored. There's going to be some restitution. There's going to be some.

[19:28] There's going to be a penalty for the thief. And there's going to be increased to the victim. Amen. Amen. The principle is that restitution ensures justice by compensating the victim beyond their original loss and giving the thief a costly punishment.

[19:43] The devil is a liar and the father of lies. Amen. He is a deceiver and a manipulator. He manipulated Adam and Eve into giving up their relationship with God in that perfect paradise of Eden.

[19:55] And there's coming a day of restitution. Amen. Amen. And we're not just going to get our relationship restored with God as it has already began to be done if you have the Holy Ghost.

[20:07] But beyond that, there's going to be some punitive damages that are going to get paid out. Amen. The devil will be bound in chains of darkness, the Bible says, and cast into a bottomless pit.

[20:19] And we're going to get compensated beyond just the restoration of the Garden of Eden. Amen. When God's plan is finally complete and the times of restitution are here.

[20:30] Amen. We are going to see the new heaven and the new earth. Amen. Revelation chapter 21 verse 1. Amen. And I saw a new heaven and a new earth for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away.

[20:44] Amen. That is the time of restitution. It's the grand finale. Amen. It isn't just that we are going to get a Garden of Eden back. But we are going to get a new heaven and a new earth.

[20:56] Amen. Amen. And it's Pentecost. That is the beginning of the restitution of all things. Amen. It is the launching point. It is ground zero. Amen.

[21:06] When God poured out his spirit upon us. Amen. And gave us the opportunity to experience Pentecost. It was ground zero for the beginning and the kickoff of this march towards restoration and restitution.

[21:23] Amen. I thank God for that today. Amen. And since Pentecost until right now, Jesus through his spirit is in the restoring business. Amen. Psalms 23 and 3.

[21:34] He restores my soul. He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Amen. The Holy Ghost restores my soul. Amen. And leads me on paths of righteousness.

[21:46] And leads me to understand truth. Amen. That I can apply it to my life in a way that I could be saved. Amen. Amen. Amen. Without the Holy Ghost, we're not going to be saved.

[21:57] Amen. We need the Holy Ghost. We need the Holy Ghost. And Jesus is in the spiritual healing and restoration business. He is renewing and refreshing. And he's restoring.

[22:08] And soon and very soon, we're going to see the King. Amen. Soon and very soon, we're going to see the King. And then he is going to come out of heaven in the same manner that he went. Amen.

[22:18] Amen. And he is going to set up his kingdom on earth. And the restoration will accelerate. And there will be healing of the nations, the Bible says. But after that, thousand year reign and restoration on earth.

[22:32] The Bible says that the elements are going to melt with a fervent heat. And the old things will be no more. And there is going to be a new heaven and a new earth.

[22:42] And that will be the grand finale. It's God's ultimate plan for us. Amen. And it all began on Pentecost. Amen. On the day of Pentecost. Amen. God began the restoration process.

[22:54] And it will all lead to the times of restitution of all things. Praise God. Pentecost has come. Pentecost is here. Amen. You can experience Pentecost today in this church service if you want to.

[23:08] Amen. You can have personal Pentecost anytime, anywhere you want. Amen. Pentecost has come and it's here. Pentecost, amen, is the best thing that's going on in the world right now.

[23:21] There's people all across this world today that are experiencing Pentecost. Amen. There's revival happening all across this world. Amen. God is working in this world.

[23:33] And if he's not working in your world, that means you need the Holy Ghost. I mean, you have to have a personal Pentecost. Amen. Pentecost is so important to God's ultimate plan. Today is the day of Pentecost.

[23:45] We thank God for Pentecost. Pentecost was the fourth of seven feasts that the Israelites were to celebrate and remember. Seven feasts.

[23:56] And they were all found in the book of Leviticus chapter 23. And they all represented something that happened to them. All those feasts that they celebrate was because something happened to them.

[24:07] And they were to remember those things. There's seven of them. Amen. It's things that they were to remember, but also they were prophetic things for us.

[24:21] They also represented prophetically what is to come. Okay. So they're things that they experienced and things that they want to celebrate and remember. And they're commanded to remember.

[24:32] But there's prophecy in all of these things. And the first is the feast of the Passover. That prophesied was Christ, right?

[24:44] Amen. The sacrificial lamb on the cross. That was the prophetic of the feast of Passover. When the Passover happened and they celebrate the Passover, it was pointing to the cross.

[24:58] It was pointing to the lamb that would be slain. That blood of the lamb that would have to be applied to us. The feast of the unleavened bread, that prophesied what was Christ's sinless life being broken in his body, being broken.

[25:14] The third feast, the feast of first fruits, that prophesied and was Christ's resurrection. And the fourth feast, the feast of Pentecost, that is being fulfilled right now.

[25:27] It's our current time and situation. It is Christ's spirit filling us and dwelling in us. Christ's spirit doing the great work in the world. And that is the feast of the harvest.

[25:39] And that's what's happening right now. And what's next is the fifth feast. We haven't got there yet. The feast of trumpets still to come. And that will be the announcement of Christ's return.

[25:52] Amen. And then the sixth feast is the feast of atonement. And that's still to come. They celebrate it for their reasons that God's done for them in the past.

[26:03] But it's a prophetic. It's pointing to something in the future like all these other feasts have. And that's the feast of atonement is still to come. That will be the final reconciliation and judgment. And then the seventh and the final feast, the feast of tabernacles, still to come.

[26:18] That will be the feast, the eternal dwelling with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Amen. That's when it's all said and done. And we get to be in that perfect place with God again.

[26:32] Amen. We have Pentecost. Amen. It has come. It is here. Pentecost is the empowerment of the believers to spread the gospel because the next feast is the feast of trumpets.

[26:47] Amen. And there's going to be a sounding of trumpets. And we have been given his spirit right now to be witnesses. Amen.

[26:58] What was the power for? To be witnesses unto him. Amen. And before the trumpet sounds, the next feast on God's prophetic timeline is the fifth feast, which is the feast of trumpets.

[27:10] Pentecost is the fourth of the seven furniture pieces in the tabernacle of Moses. All of God's furniture pieces in the Old Testament tabernacle were prophetic representations of God's plan.

[27:24] Amen. There's so much in that. Amen. We've preached it. Many taught it in Hyphen and Youth. And Pastor Hanks has preached it about the seven pieces, the furniture pieces.

[27:36] There's so much into that. But there's also some prophetic representations of God's plan there. The brazen altars, the shedding of blood and repentance. We understand that the laver of washing, the cleansing, water baptism, the table of showbread with the 12 loaves for the 12 tribes.

[27:52] God's provision for his people, the word of God. Amen. The golden menorah, the fourth piece, provided the light in the dark place. Amen. That's Pentecost. The baptism of the spirit, the Holy Ghost and fire.

[28:06] We have to have the light. We have to have the Holy Ghost to be the light. We have to be the fire. Amen. We have to have the fire to be the fire. If you don't have the fire of the Holy Ghost, then you're still walking in darkness.

[28:19] Amen. Amen. You need to have the Holy Ghost. And that's the fire and the light. And it needs to burn. Amen. Amen. We have to burn that day and night.

[28:30] They kept the oil flowing day and night. It never was to run out. And that's how we are to be with the Holy Ghost. It is that light and that fire of the Holy Ghost in us that causes us to be witnesses of truth, of truth in life to those around us.

[28:47] It is the fire of Pentecost that is here and now that there is to have that refreshing and that restoration. And it's the beginning of the restitution of all things.

[28:58] It's that fire of the Holy Ghost. If you don't have the fire of the Holy Ghost in you, you're not going to be restored. Amen. Amen. You need the fire within you in order to be restored.

[29:08] And there's no restoration without the fire. Amen. Amen. There's not going to be a restitution for you later either without the fire. The fire of the Holy Ghost does to us what any fire will do.

[29:20] Fire purifies. Amen. Fire destroys impurities. The Holy Ghost should be a fire burning inside of you that burns away the impurities in your life.

[29:31] Amen. There should be continually changing. There should be continually more holiness and continually taking more steps and getting closer to God. Burning away impure thoughts.

[29:42] Amen. Let the Holy Ghost burn away impure motives and impure actions. Amen. And to burn away our natures to go towards sin.

[29:53] Amen. And at the same time, the fire is what strengthens and increases the value of the valuable material. When a goldsmith puts raw gold into the fire and melts that down, the impurities are burned away and removed, leaving pure gold.

[30:09] Amen. Amen. When we come out on the other side, we need to be as pure gold. Amen. The fire doesn't destroy the gold. It only destroys the impurities, leaving the gold much more valuable.

[30:23] Amen. That's the work of the fire. Amen. It is to purify us. Amen. and to leave us much more valuable. John said in Matthew 3, verse 11, I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance.

[30:41] No, John said this in Matthew. I indeed baptize you into water unto repentance, but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I'm not worthy to bear.

[30:52] He shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire. Fire, amen. That is what the experience of Pentecost is to do to us.

[31:04] It is to baptize us with his spirit and with a purifying fire, amen. We can't be witnesses of Jesus and not have a fire of the Holy Ghost burning in us.

[31:16] Amen. We need the fire of the Holy Ghost burning in us. The fire purifies. The fire strengthens. The fire is the light that attracts. It is the fire that restores.

[31:28] Hebrews 1 and 7 says, God's ministers are flames of fire, amen. Josh, you're a flame of fire, amen. Praise God. We are to have the ministry of reconciliation, amen.

[31:41] Amen. The world needs Pentecost, amen. Everyone needs their personal day of Pentecost. Praise God. Amen. Let's all stand. Today is the day of Pentecost.

[31:53] Today is the birthday of the New Testament church, amen. Today is the anniversary of the day that the miracle happened and that the spirit of God became available, amen, to be within us.

[32:06] Every time we talk in tongues, it's a miracle. I'm talking to God, amen. I'm speaking a heavenly language. I'm communicating with God, with his spirit inside of me.

[32:17] That's a miracle that we get that opportunity, amen. It's a miracle every time it happens, amen. Pentecost isn't something that happened in the past. It's something that's happening now, amen.

[32:29] It's something that's happening now. God is still doing work in the world today. He's still filling people with his spirit and with fire today all over this world, amen.

[32:40] That fire is here, amen, and it should be in this house today, amen. I feel the presence of God in this place, amen. I can have my own personal Pentecost whether you want to join in or not, amen.

[32:53] It doesn't matter. The fire can fall on me, amen, and I will willingly accept that. I want the Lord to work in my life, amen, amen. That there's fire in this house today ready to purge every impurity, purge every sin, purge every fear, every doubt, amen.

[33:13] And strengthen every good thing, amen. The Holy Ghost will strengthen your faith, amen. Strengthen your witness to the people around you and your friends and your family, amen, and your calling, amen.

[33:25] Your calling is going to be much better if you're walking in the Spirit, amen, baptized in the Holy Ghost. It is the Holy Ghost that purifies what's redeemable and destroys what's not redeemable, amen.

[33:37] We need the Holy Ghost purifying us, amen. If your fire has gone dim in the past time, it's past time to find an altar and get rekindled, amen.

[33:49] If your fire's got a little twinkle there, amen, that's not what God intends for your fire, amen. We're not to have a fire that we have and we hide under a bushel, the Bible says.

[34:01] We're not going to, we wouldn't put a candlestick, you know, under a bushel or cover up that light, amen. But that fire needs to be burning brightly, amen.

[34:12] And so today I implore you that if your fire has gone dim, it's time to fan the flame of the Holy Ghost, amen. All across this place right now, let's lift our hands and say, fill me, Jesus.

[34:26] God, fill me, Jesus, with your spirit today, Lord God. Fill me with your Holy Ghost and fire today, God. Come on, let's worship him and seek his face today. Come on, let's get a renewing.

[34:38]  Let's get a refreshing. Let's let the fire burn today. In Jesus' name. Amen.
