[0:00] Thank you for choosing to listen to today's message by Reverend Dr. David Entry. We know you will be blessed as you seek and serve God. We believe that this message will stir up a desire for more of God even as you listen. [0:14] Be blessed. Father, we thank you for the privilege to hear your word. We pray that speak to us, teach us on praise. In Jesus' name, amen. I was talking, let me just finish it on the praise. [0:25] I was talking about the mystery of praise. You remember? I spoke about mysteries. And then what did I say praise does for us? Praise will secure your future. Did you hear somebody's testimony? He said, as I began to praise God, things just turned around. [0:39] Things just changed. See, some of you don't, or some of us don't know how much we are missing out by not praising God, but instead complaining and worrying. [0:51] Praise God. Tell someone, praise God. Praise God. But I can't just be praising God when things are bad. Praise God in every situation. Bible says that giving thanks to God in all things for this is the will of God for you. [1:06] First Thessalonians chapter 5 verse 18 and 19. Particularly 18. It says, give in everything, give thanks. In everything, give thanks. [1:18] For this is the will of God for you. So learn how to say thank you. I praise you. Even though I'm late. Even though I didn't get the job. I praise you anyway. [1:30] Suddenly, they will call you and say, sorry, we made a mistake. You are not the one we are going to tell you didn't get the job. It's just the other person. Please, we apologize. Because of that, we are going to give you promotion. Are you ready for this kind of testimony? [1:43] Then you must learn how to engage in praise. Praise is the only guaranteed weapon that can secure your future. Number two, I said praise brings, helps bring the harvest. [1:56] There are things that are waiting for you. 2016 is my year. But it is right. You can only harvest through praise. So if you don't learn how to praise God, your harvest is getting rotten or held up. [2:11] Praise God to release the harvest. So praise secures your future. And I see someone's future being secured. I see somebody's children's future being secured. [2:23] I spoke about, so security and then harvest. Number three, what did I say? Take over. Jericho was blocked, closed because of children of Israel. [2:34] But not when you have praise. Who can tell you there's no way for you here? There's way for you everywhere. Everywhere. You can go through your praise. The walls will fall down straight before you. [2:46] You don't need to, you don't need to go and solicit other people's help. The walls will come down, you'll get access. But if you can engage the weapon of praise, someone shout hallelujah. And so number four, what did I say? [3:00] Last week I gave you one. The three before I gave you two. So now I'll give you the last two. The last two. Number four is when you praise God, it brings recovery. [3:15] Praise for recovery. Praise will bring you recovery. Let's look at our Bibles. In John chapter 11. Just an illustration. [3:26] And you're worried. You've put in so much. Then the next day, someone calls you. Yeah, I was waiting. I wanted anyone who is free so I can do. Say, I'm free. Say, oh, Bill Gates. I'm meeting the gates tomorrow. Can we go together? Suddenly, now you are free. [3:39] You understand what I'm saying? So sometimes we worry too much because we don't know tomorrow. It's going to happen for somebody here. Oh, Lord, we thank you for. [3:49] Would you do me a favor? Let's take a praise break. Lift up your right hand. And begin to do us as well. Yes. Yes. Honey. [4:03] Good. In Jesus' name. Amen. Please be seated. So John chapter 11. What did I say? John chapter 11, verse 41. Bible says that. [4:14] And verse 40 says, Jesus said to her, Set eye not unto thee, that if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God. Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead was laid. [4:30] And Jesus lifted up his eyes and said, What did he say? Father, I thank you. What did he say? [4:41] Father, I thank you. I can't hear you. Father, I thank you. He said, Father, I thank you. Now you have heard me. [4:53] The man is dead. But thank you anyway. If you didn't follow Jesus' prayer to the end, you would think, This must be wicked man. I've told you my brother is dead. [5:05] And he said, Father, I thank you. I've told you I've lost my job. He said, Father, I thank you. Sometimes before the bank manager or the company or whoever decided to bring you the news that they know is a negative news, when they finish telling you, instead of breaking down, Oh, why? [5:26] Say, Father, I thank you. Okay, so Jesus said to them, Thank you for the situation. That's why he said, Lord, I thank you because you always hear me. But for this people's sake, I'm praying. [5:38] Lazarus! Had it not been for them, you wouldn't have prayed, you would have just thanked you. And his presence would have commanded Lazarus out. But he had to say something for them at least to connect and believe. [5:50] Because he told them, Didn't I tell you if you believe you see the word? So he has to say something so that their belief can be connected to what he's saying. So the point here is that he said, Thank you. [6:01] Lazarus came out. When you praise God, it helps recovery. Things that you have lost. Significant jobs, people, opportunities that have lost, have gone out of your life. [6:12] Learn how to just praise God. When you praise God, you are engaging the supernatural technology to bring recovery of things that are supposed to be in your life but have left your life. [6:28] Someone shout hallelujah. Hallelujah! And like they said, they have, one, Pastor, you don't know, because I always worship you, one of my little, my little toe has been chopped off. [6:40] Thank God, it can grow back. Oh no, you don't know. That's the problem. Start thanking God. So, what do I say? Praise, what will praise do for you? Recovery. [6:53] And then, bring recovery. Say, recovery is coming. Recovery is coming. As I praise the Lord. As I praise the Lord. Some of you, it may be like your health has changed but recovery is coming. [7:04] Amen! The bliss, the bliss, the joy, enjoyment in your marriage seems to have fizzled out. No. Praise God, recovery is coming. Amen! Did you hear what I said? [7:16] The, the beautiful relationship you had with your mom, your brother, your sister, your family, your, your, your siblings, it's like something has happened and everything is gone but God is bringing restoration. [7:29] How does it happen? As you begin to praise God, in every situation you have given God praise, you lost some job, don't worry. You haven't lost your life. Yes! Thank God for your life and God is going to give you a better job. [7:42] Amen! Your boss doesn't like you, thank God for that because God is going to use that to bring you elevation. Amen! Shout hallelujah. [7:53] Hallelujah! So as you praise God, it brings recovery. If Lazarus came out from the grave, then you don't have a problem. Just begin to learn how to praise God. That, hallelujah. [8:05] Amen! Learn how to praise God and God will take over. And then, number five, Acts chapter 16, verse 25, Bible says that they were kept in prison but Paul and Silas prayed and they praised God at midnight. [8:19] Let's look at it. Acts chapter 16, verse, Acts 16, 25, it says that and at midnight, Paul and Silas prayed and sang praises unto God and the prisoners had them. [8:32] And what happened? Verse 26, suddenly, there was a great earthquake so that the foundations of the prison, the foundations of the prison so that the foundations of the prison so that the foundations of the prison were shaken. [8:47] It wasn't because they were dancing. You can't dance to shake foundation but you can praise to shake foundation. They praised God such that the spiritual atmosphere changed and it began to shake things. [9:05] Bible says that the foundations of the prison, verse 26, so that the foundations of the prison were shaking and immediately all the doors were opened and everyone's bands were loosed. [9:18] All the chains were loosed. Listen, the devil has put chains on people's legs and necks, shackles and it has been polished to look very shiny and nice, bling, bling, but it's still a chain. [9:30] It must be broken. It's not an ornament. It's a symbol of bondage. [9:40] It's bondage. It's restriction. So, we are not going to convert or we are not going to take our shackles, polish them and make them look nice and we take them like that. [9:53] No, you won't take anything like that. If you can praise God, those chains will be broken and you will walk free in the name of Jesus. Shout hallelujah. So, they praised God. [10:04] The prison foundation was shaken. Chains were broken and they were free. When you praise God, it brings you deliverance. That's what I'm talking about. Praising God will bring you deliverance. [10:16] Don't fear. Learn how to praise God. Praising God will secure your future. Praising God will bring you the harvest. Praising God will help you to take over. Praising God will help you to take over. [10:26] Praising God will secure your future. Praising God will bring you the harvest. Praising God will help you to take over. Praising God will bring you recovery and praising God will bring deliverance. [10:38] And that is what when you praise God you expose yourself to. Quickly, what makes praise praise? Because everyone can sing but not everyone is praising. What makes praise quality? [10:48] A quality praise one is God-centered. God-centered. Not music-centered. Not people-centered. [10:59] Not atmosphere-centered. Not feeling-centered. Feeling-centered. It's God-centered. Why? So then, what will make you praise? [11:10] I know God is faithful even though things look bad. I know God is faithful and then, watch this, on the premise of that you begin to praise God. Not because everything has gone okay. [11:20] Not because everything has changed but because God hasn't changed. And God is faithful. So then, if your praise is God-centered nothing can drown your praise. [11:32] Hello? And so, for praise to be authentic and genuine and qualitative, number one, it must be God-centered. Number one, what? God-centered. [11:43] Number two, it must be born out based on gratitude. There was no food. Jesus said, Lord, I thank you. [11:55] Lazarus is dead. Jesus said, and he's stinking. Four days dead. Stinking. Jesus said, Lord, I thank you. Gratitude. Bible says, in everything, give thanks. [12:07] Gratitude. There must be gratitude. Listen, listen, stop focusing on what you don't have. and start looking at something you have which others would have preferred. [12:22] Am I? Yeah, my husband. My husband. My wife. Somebody is 52, still believing God for a wife. You've complained about this woman and complained and complained. [12:37] Now she looks like a devil in your eyes. Because you have conditioned yourself. learn how to praise God for your child. Yes, my child is failing at school, he's not doing well. [12:49] Still praise God and believe God to help the child make it. Give God thanks. At least, your child is not doing well at school. But thank God that your child is not in a mental hospital. [13:03] Do you understand that? Thank God. There are children in some, when you go to children's hospital, listen, your heart will break. People are suffering, you know? People are suffering. So thank God that your own, at least your child, may not be like, the ultimate. [13:21] Your child, every time, my head, my head, God will heal that headache. But at least, start thanking God. Your child is not doing well in school. Thank God, at least you have a child who is still alive. [13:33] Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Your child is always in hospital. Thank God, he's still alive. Yes. Thank God, the doctors have not said that we have to switch off the life support machine. [13:49] And thank God, your child doesn't need, thank God, you don't need life support machine to come to church. Wow. Hallelujah. Wait, wait, wait. No, no. Wait, wait. You are complaining about your shoes. [14:01] That is the lowest level of distance in Christianity, complaining about, I don't have a new tie. I don't have a new shoe. I don't have this. I don't have this. No, you are reducing yourself to below a babe. [14:18] Thank God, you are alive. Praise God. Out, watch this, out of gratitude, that Lord, I thank you that at least I'm alive. [14:30] I thank you, I don't have a job, but I have a roof. I've not lost my house. Thank you, that Lord, I may not have a wife, but thank you that at least some of the women look at me. [14:45] You understand what I'm saying? Oh, thank you that at least I've seen about four of them who are interested, potential. Because some people, they don't even see anything at all. [14:59] Why? Because they have got glaucoma. So, if you can at least see, you are complaining I don't have a long hair, I don't have, so what am I saying? [15:12] When you come to praise God, be intentionally grateful to God, switch from what you haven't received yet. Switch to something, one thing, listen, one thing, everybody here, there's one thing that you can't blame God, you can't thank God for. [15:28] One thing. Some people, they bombed their father, bombed their home, they don't have anywhere. They are trying to cross the ocean to come to Europe and now, hold up, thank God, you go to work, you come, you can go underground, underground, you. [15:48] So, gratitude. So, number one, God center, number two, gratitude, number three. Hmm, this is good. Heart seated, don't let it come from your mind. People are singing, so you ought to sing it. A single, single, you don't mean it. [15:59] Let it come from your heart. Suddenly. Sometimes, that is when it's heart seated. You don't need anybody to be there. You don't need music, you don't need keyboard, you don't need a bass guitar. In your home, in your bedroom, you yourself, in your toilet, you yourself, you can be probably here, you are praising God, you are praising God. [16:16] Why? Because the thing is from your heart. In your bedroom, in your kitchen, hey, hallelujah, hallelujah. Freedom, freedom, you are doing it yourself. [16:29] You are praising God. It's from your heart. It's from your heart. So, you are praising God and they switch the music off. It doesn't matter because the music is actually from your heart. Shout hallelujah. [16:41] Hallelujah. Quality praise must be God-centered. Quality praise must be born out of gratitude. Quality praise must be heart-seated. Quality praise must be expressive. [16:53] Feel free to express it. If you can't express it, it's not praiseful. For those of you whose dance has gone on a holiday, not because there's pain, but because you are shy. [17:08] Maybe you have not realized that you are not so all that. Praise helps you to humble yourself. It helps you to humble yourself. [17:19] Sometimes, you are dancing in a way, but you have to humble yourself. Just go ahead. It's for God. When we finish, then you begin to come back to yourself. Sometimes at home, your children may see you behaving like you're a crazy man, but you are praising God. [17:36] Are you getting what I'm saying? And then finally, genuine praise. There are different expressions of praise, okay? Dancing, clapping, singing, shouting, playing instruments, different expressions of praise. [17:47] Then finally, for praise to be quality, it must be joyful. Joyful. Joyful. full of joy. There is joy. [17:57] You see, listen, you can't serve God without joy. Deuteronomy 28, 47. It's a serious scripture. If you see this thing, it's kind of scary, you know. [18:09] The first day I noticed this scripture, I said, but this is very scary. It's very, very scary. I want to open it and read it for you. Deuteronomy 28, verse number 47. [18:19] 47. Because thou service not the Lord thy God with joyfulness and with gladness of heart for the abundance of all things, therefore, shall thou serve thy enemies which the Lord shall send against you. [18:36] is God that serious about joyfulness? He said, you were serving me but you didn't do it with joy. You didn't do it with joyfulness and gladness of heart because of that. [18:48] He said, I will let your enemies, you will serve them. Instead of promoting you above your enemies, I will keep promoting them and even those who are under you, they will come above you. [18:59] because he said, in 2 Corinthians chapter 9 verse 7 and verse 7, it talks about God loves a cheerful giver. [19:11] What does that mean? When you are giving, there is joy in your heart doing it. Okay, so then that means that when it comes to God, joy matters. Because even when you are giving, you are doing it with joy. [19:24] When you are praising him, you are praising with joy. You praise with joyfulness and joyful heart. That's why we sing some of the songs. And when you praise God with joyfulness, Bible says that you shall draw water from the wells of salvation with joy. [19:43] So, the wells of salvation is deep. Isaiah chapter 12 verse 3, the wells of salvation is deep, but the only way you can draw is by joy. When you engage joy, you are pulling the benefits. [19:56] God has delivered you, but it's materiality. You are beginning to decode it. You are beginning to pull it. You shall draw water from the wells of salvation with joy. He said, the joy of the Lord is your strength. [20:10] The joy of the Lord is, someone say, the joy of the Lord is my strength. I didn't hear you say, the joy of the Lord is my strength. The joy of the Lord is my strength. Thank you, Jesus. [20:24] Nehemiah 8, 10. The joy of the Lord is my strength. So for praise to be genuine, it must be God-centered, heart-seated, born out of gratitude. [20:34] It must be joyful, expressive and joyful. That's genuine praise. Now, as soon as you close, on your way home, be praising God. Don't let any negative attitude or news stifle your praise. [20:47] That's why you can tell me, you can never take my praise away. Don't let any, don't give anything the audacity to snatch your praise away. Someone getting what I'm saying? [20:59] I see, as you engage in quality praise, I see restoration coming to you. I see you taking over. I see your breakthrough coming to you. I see God putting laughter in your mouth. Why don't you do me, if I rise to your feet and begin to give with that music, begin to give God quality praise, quality thanks, begin to give him thanks, begin to give him praise, come on, come on, rest your feet, everybody. [21:22] Rest your feet, everybody, and let's begin to give him praise. Let's begin to give him praise. Lift up your voice, lift up your hands and give him some praise, give him some thanks. [21:34] We appreciate you, Lord. We celebrate you, Lord. Come on, come on, clap your hands, all you people. Clap your hands, all you people. [21:46] Clap your hands, all you people. Give the Lord a shout, Shout a praise Shout a praise Shout a praise Shout a praise Shout a praise Shout a praise We thank God for using the sermon Reverend Dr. David Entry to share this awesome word If this message has blessed you in any way please spread the word by sharing it and send us an email to amen at caries.org Remember to stay connected with us on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and Twitter for regular updates on what God is doing here at Caries Ministries Stay blessed
