[2:00] Last year was our year of great awakening. But this year is our year of greater awakening. Why awakening?

[2:13] Because sleeping is dangerous. If you sleep too much, the enemy will get an upper hand over you.

[2:27] When men sleep, the enemy works.

[2:38] Matthew 13, 24. The kingdom of God is like this. A man who sowed good seeds in his field, not somebody's field.

[2:58] He sowed good seeds in his field. But while men slept, let's all say while men slept.

[3:10] While men slept. Say it louder. While men slept. Say it for the last time. While men slept. But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tears among their wits and went his way.

[3:27] The enemy works well while men sleep. Therefore, it is necessary for an awakening.

[3:39] An awakening is necessary. Because while men sleep, the enemy works well. That is why the modern day technology for wealth warfare has, they have this night vision goggles.

[3:58] It sees in the dark. When no one can actually see, it can help you to see in the dark. Soldiers at war don't have sleeping time.

[4:12] Every time is fighting time. That's right. Some of them sleep sitting, sleep standing, sleep in gutters, trenches, just lying because the body will just need to catch some rest.

[4:29] The rest, but I must sleep and yet awake. So, the United Kingdom has seen great revival before. But while men slept, the enemy has sowed tears.

[5:08] Proverbs chapter 6, verse 4 and 5, He said, Give no sleep to your eyes, nor slumber to your eyelids. Deliver yourself like a gazelle from the hand of the hunter and like a bear from the hand of the fowler.

[5:28] A fowler is the one who catches fowls. You have to be a bear and you have to be a bear and you have to be a bear. And you have to be a bear. And you have to be caught. He said, to deliver yourself, you need to be awake.

[7:39] How long? You are living with people, they don't know you are asleep. You work with people, they don't know you are asleep. They don't know you've gone to bed as long as your destiny past you.

[7:50] You are married, you are married, yet you are asleep concerning this marriage. How long will you stay asleep?

[8:02] Brother, it is too crucial for you to be sleeping at this time of your life. How long? How long? verse 10. Verse 10 says, a little sleep, it doesn't take too much.

[8:16] A little sleep and a little slumber and accident, people die. A little fold you on my arms to sleep. and most accidents on our motorways, most of them have to deal with someone slumber, a little, just a little, you don't have to sleep too much, just a little.

[8:42] Thank God for the grills. He's waking many people up and delivering them from accidents. A little sleep, not too much, a little sleep and you wake up on the other side of eternity.

[8:58] Behind the wheels, a little sleep and it's a constant reminder about how little sleep can cost you so much in life.

[9:25] we have a lot in our modern day people chasing money, chasing work, chasing everything and they are asleep and the key things of their life is being destroyed.

[9:38] Your children, some other strange people are raising your children. You are asleep. You are asleep. Other people, strangers, are programming the thoughts or patterns of your children behind the TV.

[9:54] You don't even know what they are watching. You think you bought them a Christmas present of an iPad. Oh, wake up. There are too many people who are asleep because of the enemy managed to change their focus.

[10:08] Asleep. They are talking but asleep. They are walking but asleep. Somnambulis, sleeping and talking. Somnambulis, sleeping and walking. You are going closer to a date.

[10:21] You don't know. Why? Because you are asleep. That's why we need a great awakening. That's why we need a great awakening.

[10:34] Do not sit down till things get out of hands before you realize you made a lot of mistakes. Save that marriage before it's too late.

[24:00] The work of God requires sleeplessness. Very interesting. To work with God, you can't work with God sleeping. Don't give yourself premature rest.

[24:16] You will become a monument. You will become a relic. You will become just good for the museum.

[25:52] God is doing something. People will come in swiftly. They are coming. The masses are coming. God himself said, I will lift up a banner to the nations from afar and will whistle.

[26:09] Whistle. I will whistle to them from the ends of the earth. Surely they shall come with speed swiftly.

[26:20] Look at the next verse. Watch this. No one will be weary or stumble amongst them. No one will slumber or sleep. Nor will the belt of their loins be loose.

[26:33] You know what that means? It means two things. It depends on where you are looking at it from. It means zip up. Tighten your belt.

[33:08] And, you are dancing. There's no party you won't go. You should stop attending some parties because, in fact, some parties that you go, may God let you meet people who will be asking you about your qualification, what you are doing in life.

[33:22] You will leave some places. You will go. You're wearing big, big, big coats and suits.

[33:33] Listen, brother, that girl, the father will not allow you to marry her because you don't have a job. Now, would you allow anybody that doesn't have a job?

[34:07] During the weekdays, I speak about a lot of these things. too much has been hidden from us. Too much.

[34:19] Too much. And the package of things gives you and you take it like that. Running with it. Too much. And sometimes I sit back and look and I'm saying, what can many, so many people be that dumb?

[34:32] Can't you see through things? Don't let the media shape your thinking. Never do that. Don't let the media shape your decisions or your thinking.

[34:47] Spend too much awful time on Facebook. You don't have a job. You should be hunting. Spend too much on Facebook than applying for jobs.

[35:00] And you sometimes should like the brother did. Shut yourself away from something because you have to fight some things. That's right. Fight some things. It's hard but requires discipline.

[35:12] Yes. Requires discipline. Which many of us were denied of the early stage developing because no teacher can tell you of, no parent can correct you, nobody can correct you.

[35:24] So you lack the ability to develop discipline and you reign in life via discipline. Anyone who rises up in life, check, there's a discipline, issue of discipline that is help they are working on.

[35:36] If you don't have discipline, you don't think you are talented so you are okay. No, even your talent requires, go and ask the footballers, the level of discipline you have to go through to be a professional footballer, most of us cannot become footballers.

[35:50] Most of us become footballers. Am I communicating at all? So, discipline is a key to success in life.

[36:01] That's what I mean. And most of the time, when the word discipline is mentioned, some people think it's a swear word. It's not. I'm not talking about sexual discipline in those areas.

[36:15] Those matter. Your spiritual life matters. But even to have basic discipline, you can't sustain a job for six months because you are upset with your boss. You are every, what?

[36:27] The thing you brought from home, it's following you. Your mom kept telling, you are, you are, oh, you are to lock eyes with your mom because she can't correct you. Now you are going with that thing.

[36:39] And it's telling on you, you are using makeup to cover it. Great awakening. So you need to wake up.

[36:50] That is why we have great awakening. Last thing was great awakening. Why great awakening? Because the awakening must be great. watch this. Last year, great awakening, we saw the opening of a branch.

[37:01] We saw amazing outreaches that has never happened in this church. We saw revival. There was last year, the entirety of last year, there was not one evening there was no prayer going on here.

[37:14] For the United Kingdom. So, somebody didn't know but things were going. Last year, we saw the birth of 6 a.m. prayers on a regular basis here.

[37:25] Are you getting what I'm saying? Last year, it's great awakening. But this year, great awakening. Why? Because Proverbs 4, 18 says that the path of the righteous is like a shining star that shines ever brighter onto a perfect.

[37:42] so, this year must be better than last year. Listen, this year, you will shine better than last year. You will shine better than last year. It doesn't matter who you are.

[37:54] I said this year, you will shine brighter than last year. If you believe in Shari, man. Wake up and forget about the mistakes of last year.

[38:06] Just learn from them and move on. You can't do anything about yesterday. You must know that already. There's nothing. You made some terrible mistakes. Listen, stop this guilt trip.

[44:37] As long as you have somebody to blame for your misfortunes, there's no way you can move on from there. As long as there's someone you can blame for something that happened to you, for negative things, for your misfortune, there's no way you can move on from there.

[44:56] Take responsibility. Don't say, my dad was not around. That's why I couldn't finish my studies. So what are you doing now? We are trying to continue. If it's too late, find something else.

[45:07] You can, Christ will help you. That's right. That's right. If I did not be for this guy who regulated me and he didn't marry me, now I have four children without anymore.

[47:09] Because she was tenacious. Don't give up. The sister, I love what the sister said. She said, but I had a word from the pastor that I will win this battle.

[47:20] My husband is coming. So when the lawyer gave up, I said, me, I'm on, based on this word I've heard, I'm still going to pursue it. Can you imagine if she had gone to sleep and started another battle?

[47:33] You don't know that battle. There's no guarantee that it will because the thing is not just the court. There are other elements. It's like puppets, the strings are holding things. But a prophetic word is what can guarantee.

[47:45] God has gotten involved. So you have to hold on to God's word and fight with God's word. I'm going to communicate to somebody. She persevered. The other lady, can you imagine, sir, you go, you apply for a job or a good and they say, sorry, we don't have vacancy.

[48:00] She goes back, comes to the police, they say, I'm going, call the police. I think I still have vacancy. The manager said, sorry, we don't have a, call the top one. He said, I know I should have a vacancy here.

[48:12] He said, okay, talk to the manager, manager, give her, when he says, no, we don't have anything here. She said, I must be there. Persistence, her perseverance, has secured her, her position in that, in that company.

[48:26] They said, don't run with what they always say. Because people will always say, institutions will always say, something will always be said because life is a life that things are always said.

[48:38] God created by saying, so since that time, things have been stopped saying. Am I communicating to somebody at all? They said, they said, I shouldn't attempt again.

[48:52] It won't work. They said, people who say it won't work always get shocked or distracted when you get it done. How do you do it?

[49:03] And you can tell me, God, the God of charis is helping you. God of charis. God will help you this year. God will help you this year. And watch this, in spite of your thoughts last year, God will help you this year.

[51:04] You are complaining. I don't have a job. I don't have a job. For a whole year, you don't have a job. Yet you can do wonderful hairstyle and makeup. What are you sitting there? Stop doing some business cards.

[51:16] Look for people. Talk to them and then pray and work with God. Yeah. It's a crime against your destiny not to do anything with your potential.

[58:19] Abiyo Abiyo said everyone who sleeps throughout the night if you sleep all night you probably feel all day all right now let me tell you a few things in a few minutes about this year things that we'll be focusing on as we embark on greater awakening this church this year because it's greater awakening our focus is going to be heavily on more of word awakening the word of God word awakening you know this church we have always been word based but this time we have to take it to another level I'm not talking about preaching I'm talking about weaving stronger word of God into the whole fabric of the church because of that we are going to we are about to this year it's our vision and target to start KBI KBI Caris Bible Institute we will give you details on that to make sure in Acts chapter 19 verse 8 9 and 10 he redrew the disciples he redrew the disciples

[59:34] Acts chapter 19 verse 8 he went to the synagogue for three days three months the next verse says that but when some were hardened and did not believe he spoke but spoke evil of the way before the multitude he departed from them and redrew the disciples reasoning daily in the school he was reasoning reasoning daily every day reasoning meeting them reasoning in the school of your disciples they are not political reasoning it's biblical disciples discipleship daily in the school of Tyranus and what happened Bible said and this continues for how long two years so that all Asia all who dwell in Asia heard what the word of the Lord so you see the schooling was the word school right word word word word word word that time is coming this year is starting that the children in this church will be quoting scriptures like that every member of this this church must have scriptures that you are working with and building with you know what scripture you are standing on this man you know what this week you know what scripture you are standing on you know the scripture you know where it can be formed you don't say he says somewhere somewhere enough of those somewhere somewhere you must at least also remember some scriptures remember you think when I go to bed an angel comes and inject the scriptures into my head no it doesn't happen like that it's because

[61:02] I give myself to the scriptures and we have to pass this legacy on this year is a word awakening the greater awakening is actually word awakening that's why the theme is in that same text interestingly that same text Acts chapter 19 verse 9 and 10 and so this happened and all who dwell in Asia heard the word verse 10 all who dwell in Asia heard the word for 2 years verse 11 quickly quickly now where's the all who go back all who dwell in Asia yeah verse 10 and this continue for 2 years and all who dwell in Asia heard the word of the Lord Jesus described both Jesus and Greeks and then because of that when you go down down to verse 20 look at verse 20 that's our key scripture for this year verse 20 says so the word of the Lord grew mightily and prevailed in Acts chapter 8 verse 14 Bible says when their disciples heard that Samaria had received the word so a whole city can receive the word that's what we are embarking when they heard that

[62:03] Samaria Samaria was a city Samaria had received the word so the word must come like a ton of bricks on this city to us so that also means that we are going to step out radical evangelism we're going to step it up radical evangelism every method and means we find we'll use it so last year we did some evangelism but this year is going to be much more radical that's why we need to just get this structure settled and then we begin to move and because we are trying to weave more way into the fabric of the church we are going to strengthen the cell system so everyone is taken care of and is fed with the word of God everyone is taken care of it doesn't matter your level there is a place here for you it doesn't matter maybe you just got born again yesterday there is a place here you just got born again you have done this anything as long as you are a human being there is a place here for you as long as you are a human being

[63:07] God is working on human beings developing and raising them God will raise you are you getting it so cell system we are going to intensify the cell system and work it out very well so everybody can be this is what must happen this church must double church growth numerical growth we have to double the double wonder because the people we are connected to they double so we also double praise the Lord these are all things that because of greater awakening we are targeting that we will see happening we at least four four branches we must see four branches at least open this year why because we are awake and we are going to work we can't these things can't happen sleeping so greater awakening means work time someone shout amen and also we will be also embarking on community projects some community projects there are a few slides I was supposed to have shown you before

[64:13] I started preaching the atmosphere was so good just had to just start teaching but there's a few slides that I will show you about a project that went on last Friday to the glory of God community project and so this Saturday event is also part of all those things things are happening this year what more is individual members breakthrough people must begin to see raw breakthroughs in their personal life I'm talking about family breakthroughs your health your career your finances this year things must change the world must see that God has visited his people hallelujah so if you are a member of this congregation expect that if you are not getting a financial breakthrough you must get a marital breakthrough or a family breakthrough a career breakthrough or business breakthrough something must happen in your personal life which is going to be predicated on your personal spiritual growth as you are developing growing spiritually other things are also seek ye first the kingdom of

[65:21] God and all these things shall be added to you that is the target this year that you look at yourself in the next five months by May you realize that spiritually you have made serious progress and so your relationships will work marriages are going to work are you listening to what I'm saying also the word of God grew mightily and prevail that's the agenda the word must grow and prevail the word must grow and prevail so personally we must see great movement progress in people's life that's what we are believing God for and because of that one or two things will be done and then one of the major things that I want we are believing God to see in this year is radical development of our children's service we possibly have to have our children's choir help the children train train more children to do things in God's house the school system is good it's helping them the church system must train more children so by the end of this year we must even have some children who have been trained in the word drama instrumentation quiz the children we want to because we can't go and live that we have to just raise the children create a much more effective system for the children to develop faster and stronger in the

[66:43] Lord because it's a greater here of greater awakening greater awakening greater awakening greater awakening it's greater awakening because the path of the just shines bright like a shining star a shining sun perfect brighter and brighter onto a perfect day so you will not have a better yesterday it says that we all with an unveiled faces second corinthians chapter 3 verse 18 we all with an unveiled faces beholding us in a glass or us in a mirror the glory of the Lord are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory somebody say from glory to glory say from glory to glory so what does that mean we are moving up you are moving forward everybody we are all moving forward together shout amen if you believe he shout amen that will be your testimony today I came to preach on greater awakening wake up and let's move from glory to glory to glory did you receive the word come and put your hands together for the Lord and shout hallelujah if you are not saved you are not safe because life is dangerous life is not under your command
