[0:00] Thank you for choosing to listen to today's message by Reverend Dr. David Entry. We know you will be blessed as you seek and serve God. We believe that this message will stir up a desire for more of God even as you listen. [0:13] Be blessed. A crippled man who has born crippled all his life, never been able to walk. And people knew him. They saw him. [0:23] And Bible says in verse 10 of chapter 3 of Acts, they marveled. They marveled at what has happened. They watched in wonder and amazement. And they saw the guy leaping and praising God. [0:39] They all saw him. He was leaping and praising God. They saw what has happened. [0:52] And so they were all with amazement. It came. It came. It came to the apostles who had done that. [1:03] Peter and John. And then Peter said, hey, hey, hey, guys. Verse 12. Why are you looking on us? He said, people, men of Israel, why do you marvel at this? [1:13] Or why look intently at us? As though by our own power or godliness we had made this man walk. It is not us. It is not us. [1:24] So when attention comes on any man of God, if he is genuine, he should redirect the attention to Jesus. Absolutely. People have come to you. [1:39] They like you. Man of God. You have done this. Man of God. And there are things that Jesus wants you to speak about because you don't want to offend your fans. You have done this. You have done this. You have done this. And he said, why are you looking on? [1:50] It is not us. He says that faith. Verse 13. He said, the God of Abraham, they started preaching. The God of Abraham, Jacob, Isaac, and Jacob. [2:01] The God of our fathers. Growing fried his servants. Say servants. Servants. You see how even Jesus is called servant. You say you are a Christian. In what capacity do you serve? [2:12] Me. Yeah, I know this is called service, but it doesn't mean you are servant. We are being serviced. You are being serviced. We change your oil filter. We change your brake pads and then you came for service. [2:25] Emotion. No, but God never rewards leaders. God never rewards supervisors. [2:36] God rewards servants. He called some people. He said, go into my vineyard and supervise. No. Matthew chapter 28. [2:47] 21 verse 28. Matthew 21, 28. A man called his son. He said, go into my vineyard and do what? Supervise. What did he say? [3:01] Son, go work today in my vineyard. He didn't say go supervise in my vineyard. Go look important in my vineyard. Go and work. [3:15] Non-working Christian. God will judge you. Can I go further? [3:26] You are so useless in the hands of God. Even though you are in church. Useless. [3:38] Bible says, it is not my word, so it's in the Bible. Salt. Salt. Useless. Good for nothing. If I ever say, good for nothing. Matthew chapter 5, verse 16. No, no, actually verse 14. [3:50] Matthew 5, verse 14. You are just talking about Christians. You are the salt of the earth. But if a salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? [4:04] It is then good for nothing. So, you can be a Christian, but good for nothing. I want to wait for it to sink in. [4:20] Those of you who are comfortable not doing anything for God, you are good for nothing. You are only coming to claim. I receive my testimony. [4:32] I receive my breakthrough. I receive my healing. You don't want me to say it. It's too late. I'm even going to say it more. Because I am a prophet. [4:43] I'm a messenger. I have to be true to the message I've been giving to share. Because a faithful message is what it takes to save a people. Amen. Good for nothing. [4:58] May you not be good for nothing. Amen. May you always be good for something. Amen. Good for nothing is thrown and trampled under fear. [5:13] One of the scariest texts I saw in scripture is that it said that I am coming quickly. [5:27] Revelations chapter 22, verse 12. And do you know how it started? It said, behold. Now, watch out. [5:38] Behold, I come quickly. I'm coming quickly. And do you know what? It's not coming empty-handed. It's coming with fruit. And it's not your reward. [5:50] It's my reward. It's with me. To give to every person according to his leadership. Some of you are waiting to be a leader before you can try and do something for God. [6:05] Forget it. Even Jesus calls himself a servant. God does not reward supervisors. He rewards servants. [6:17] He rewards workers. You don't like to hear this. I'm telling you, we hear it over and over because one day we all meet in heaven. Those who are born again. If you are not born again, please. [6:29] I'm just reminding you. You go to hell when you die. You are going straight. How can you say that? Sorry, it's not me. Why? In the Bible, I'm holding. Why? Yeah. Why would you listen to a pastor who will not preach from the Bible? [6:44] It's fake. A lawyer who does not deal from the... Is not looking into the Constitution, looking at the law. And he's trying to say, don't worry, I'll win your case for you. [6:56] Not based on the law. He doesn't even know the law. Please take your money. Run from him. My reward is with me. [7:07] To give to everyone according to his ways. 2 Corinthians 5, verse 10. For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ. And each one will give account of what he has done in the flesh. [7:25] 1 Corinthians 3, verse 10. According to the grace of God given to me, I, as a wise master builder, I have laid the foundation. [7:40] And then he draws a very strong phrase. Quite a serious phrase. He says, according to the grace of God given to me, which was given to me. [7:53] As a wise master builder, I have laid the foundation. And another builds on it. Look at this one. But let each one, the phrase, the important phrase is, take heed. [8:05] Be careful the way you are building. Be very careful the way you are building. Take heed. Take heed. So watch out. Watch. Another way to put it is, watch out. [8:16] Watch out. And some of you, your unborn child, your future marriage is telling you, watch out the way you are serving. Watch out the way you are taking the work of God. [8:29] Watch out. Your future health. Tell me, watch out. Diabetes is running in your bloodline. Watch out. [8:40] Get busy with God so that Satan won't have an upper hand over you. Paul said, take heed how you are building. I know you have joined a department, but you are doing it with such an attitude. [8:55] You are doing it with such convenience. No one can tell me what I have to do. I will come for a rehearsal when I went to Ghana. [9:08] We are all meeting at 8 a.m. I can't come in at 8 a.m. We are all ready to read today. My own is orange. God, do I always have to do any? [9:23] Why? Watch out. Tomorrow you'll be the one fighting for prayers in front. Have you ever seen me coming for prayer line, join the prayer line? [9:39] Is there anything wrong in coming for prayer? No. There's nothing wrong. [9:50] But certain prayer needs shouldn't be necessary if you are on track. There's a critical situation in your life. [10:01] Oh, I need God. I need God. How did it end up like that? How did it end up then suddenly doctors are saying that if nothing is done, it's like you will see next year. [10:12] God forbid. Say God forbid. God forbid. But sometimes you don't know what is coming. And so you are. There's a mad driver who is driving the rubbish thing. [10:26] What's it called? The lorry for being. It's coming. And it's veering off the road. And you are walking with your high heel. Watch out, sister. [10:38] Someone needs to dive and push you off the road. And to save your life. And the one who pushed you and saved your life and almost lost their leg, now they have become your enemy. Because you broke your high heel. [10:52] And so the pastor who preached the word for you to be saved has rather become the victim. Don't you think God is watching? He's certainly watching. [11:03] Let every man take it how he builds. Let every man take it how he builds. [11:16] Then he continues to say, For there is no other foundation laid except the one that is laid, which is Jesus Christ. Verse 12. If any man builds on this foundation, wood, foundation, gold, silver, precious stone, wood, hay straw, every man's work will be tested by fire. [11:32] Every man's work will be tested by fire. Every man's work will be tested by fire. Every man's work will be tested by fire. Every man's work will be tested by fire. This is the Bible, which a lot of Christians nowadays don't read. Don't read. [11:45] You have read more WhatsApp messages than your Bible. Yes. I want to draw your attention to the fact that I spend my time with God's word. [11:58] Because I don't have other things to do. I keep studying because I can't disappoint you. So since my heart is full of matter, I've downloaded so much. [12:10] I'm bursting. I'm bursting. With the word of God, I'm bursting. I'm bursting. Hallelujah. He said, each one should, some are building with stones. [12:25] Precious stones. Others are building with gold. I've determined that my own will be gold. Amen. I'm pouring everything in my life into God. [12:36] Amen. Some of us may not have the privilege of being freed from certain activities like job or studies. The nature of your job, you can be in every service. [12:50] You cannot be in every service, but you make sure that you maximize every time you get in church. Maximize. Some of us, because of the nature of your job, maybe you can't even join the choir. [13:01] Because there are times. It's not practical for you. But what should you do? Join something where you can give it your best. Sometimes you are tired from work, but you shouldn't only be tired with your job. [13:13] You should also be tired because you are doing God's work. You should be tired because you are doing God's work. So by the time you go home, sometimes you are knackered because it's like you are doing two jobs. [13:25] You are doing two jobs. If, now look at what God was saying about James 5, 4. What God is saying about workers, wages. [13:38] He says that indeed, the wages of the laborers who mow your field, who you have kept back by fraud, cry out. So, if you employ people to work, and they have worked, you have come to agreement, work and I'll pay you, and you are not paying them, and you make them go hungry, and you are not paying them. [13:55] God said their wages are crying out against you. Now, if God is telling you that, why would he not pay you when you work for him? Because God is against people working and they're not being paid. [14:06] So, if that your employer can pay you, how much more God? God pays his workers. I said God pays his workers. [14:20] What is beautiful about the pay of God is not even what you get now. It's going forward, your future. He goes ahead of you and puts some things in place for you. [14:31] What others are dying to get, it comes to you cheaply. Yeah. God is, he will employ you without paying you. And when he's paying you, he pays you with so much bonuses. [14:45] Thank you, God. It is not a smart thing not to work for God when you're a Christian. And if you are working for God, take heed how you are working. [14:57] Because he will pay you back. He will pay you back. Not only when he comes back, in your lifetime. In your lifetime. Amen. He pays well. And when he's paying, he pays so well. [15:09] Yes, yes, yes. So well. Yes, yes. Yes, yes. Yes, yes. Yes, yes. Anyone who taught you the gospel and didn't teach you about responsibility towards God has not taught you the full gospel. Has not taught you. [15:19] Has done you big injustice. Because God does not need anything from you. You need everything from you. Everything. Bible says in James 1, 17. All good and perfect gifts come from. [15:30] If it doesn't come from God, it will hurt you. It's not helping you. It's a trap. It's a trap. Because what comes from God is good. If it is good, it came from God. All good. [15:41] Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, not abroad. It's from above. Why don't you commit yourself to the only one who can bring it from above? [15:56] Your pastor can't even command it to come. Sometimes we, the pastors, we behave like we are God's right hand men. You shall stand before the judgment seat of Christ. Life is not permanent. [16:09] Every one of us will die. Some will go before others. We shall all die and appear before the judgment seat of Christ. Yes. Let's take it to yours. [16:20] Yes. You will. Yes. I don't intend to. You will. Yes. If you are a Christian, you will. Yes. He said, after a long time, the master came back and called his servants to give account of what they have done. [16:37] You will. Indeed. You will. I don't believe it. No problem. No problem. You will. No problem. It's already recorded in the document. Yeah. No problem. [16:47] After a long time, the Lord of those servants, say servants. Servants. Not those supervisors. The Lord of those servants came and settled accounts with them. [17:00] He's coming to settle accounts. Financial stewardship. Much of the money God brings to you is not only for food. No. [17:10] No. No. Many fruits have seeds inside. Why are you eating? You are so hungry, you are eating all the seeds too. What are you going to do tomorrow? Don't eat your seed. [17:26] Don't eat your seed. Plant your seed. Give it away. Let it get in the ground and bury and die. Then he begins to yield mass fruit. Financial stewardship is part of godly relationship. [17:44] Financial stewardship, the way you are raising your children. Some of us, because our children have certain privileges, you have allowed them to have this superiority mindset. [17:55] And they look down on others. Because I am very intelligent. Please remember, academic intelligence doesn't guarantee excellence in life. Greatness in life has a lot to do with attitude. [18:10] Attitude. So have an attitude of humility. Sometimes you have joined a department. You are so proud so you can't join a department. Most people who can't join departments, it's a clear manifestation of pride, but you are not aware. [18:26] Because you are judging yourself with your intentions. Meanwhile, he will not judge you based on your intentions. He will judge you based on your works. I'm not coming. He said, my reward is with me to give everybody according to his intentions. [18:38] No. According to his works. And he said, everybody's works will be tested by fire. Because you are doing it on the service. Efficient 6-6. I service. [18:48] I service. I service. I service. You are doing it to please the pastor. Yeah. You want the pastor to like you. [18:59] Yeah. You want to impress the pastor. Yeah. Go ahead. You are getting this. You are holding the stick at the wrong end. [19:12] You are doing it. I service. Amen. Amen. You want the pastor to be pleased. You want your cousin to be pleased. You want your friends to be pleased. So what you know God is telling you to do, you are not doing it the way you should do it. [19:24] Because your friends must be happy with you. Amen. Pleases. I service. That is building with strong. So let each one take it how it builds. [19:38] Some are building with gold like me, I believe. Others are building with silver like some of you, I believe. Some of you too, you have gold anyway. [19:52] Others. This one is not amen that claims it all. It's. Amen doesn't change anything. Amen. Please. [20:03] Have you ever seen someone getting pregnant because they say amen? After the amen, do their work. Do their work. Souls are perishing. [20:15] Souls are perishing. Do their work. Do their work. Do their work. Praise God. Some are building with precious stones, which I believe some of you are. [20:29] Some of you look so formidable, but you are not building with anything tangible. Others are building, oh, oh, with wood. Others, hay. [20:39] And some straw. You can't even blow on it. That's why that little thing that happened has moved you out of the department. Bible talks about he who is often reproved. [20:52] Yeah. And doesn't listen. Will break his head next suddenly. Proverbs, we were reading it last month. Correct you. You don't listen correctly. Please, don't use that. That's a threat. [21:04] Because I'm not into customer service. I'm into ministry. Serving people. Helping people to be Christians. To serve God. [21:14] If you don't like Christianity, you are making it complex for me. Because I'm useless in you. I don't have anything to give you. I am full of love. I'm full of care. I really love people. [21:25] I really care. People care about people. But my call is for us all to reach out to God. I don't want anyone to be left behind. Ephesians 4.13 says, till we all come to the unity of faith. [21:37] I want everybody to grow. Is someone receiving something? Yes. Am I preaching a Christian message at all? [21:48] Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes. Jesus said, don't salute anybody on the way. Don't take peace. A laborer is worthy of his wages. He said, don't take peace. [21:59] I will take care of you. No human being can sponsor a church. No human being can sponsor a pastor. And when God calls you, you can't sponsor yourself. He takes care of you. [22:10] So that's what gives the pastor the freedom to actually preach for God. Because it's God's work. Can I finish the fire bit? The fire will test your work. Tell somebody, looks like God is trying to tell you something. [22:28] 1 Corinthians. Please put it back. 1 Corinthians 3.13. Each man's work, Each one's work will become clear. [22:38] For the day will declare it, Because it will be revealed by fire. And the fire will test each man's work of what salt it is. The verse 14. If any man's work, Which he has built on it, Endures, He will receive very much. [22:57] How many of you know wood can endure fire? It's a film. Yeah. Wood is actually, So some of us, The work we have done, Is going to fill the fire. [23:13] Fill the fire. Some is strong. Strong is, Even the wind can carry it away. Excuse me. I'm not the one saying this. So, The word of God. [23:26] That's right. The word of God. This is what God has to say. You want a prophecy, There's a sure word of prophecy. That's right. That's right. [23:39] Nobody is too old, Not to do anything for God. And nobody is too young, Not to be able to do anything for God. At any stage in your life, You can always do something. You can always do the right thing. [23:50] It doesn't matter how old, And how far things have gone. You can always start the right thing. It doesn't matter how old you are, How young you are. Because the truth of God, There's no old fashioned truth. [24:02] And there's no new generation truth. Truth is truth. Time tested. I was asking the leaders yesterday, That Queen Victoria, Is it the leaders I asked? [24:14] Yeah. Queen Victoria. What did they have to say about Queen Victoria? Her body. Her body. Yeah. Good. Her digestive system. [24:26] Her digestive system. Her respiratory system. Do you know it's not different from your own? But that's Victorian age. No. Times change. By people, Human beings don't change. Alexander the Great, Before Jesus was born, 2,000 years ago, Over. [24:44] Alexander the Great. His composition, The composition, The constituents of his eyes, Is not different. Specialists today, Can't treat him, If they haven't been there. [24:56] Because the body doesn't change. General. Because the body doesn't change. It's just circumstances that change. But human beings are the same from the time of Adam. There is no new generation truth. [25:07] And there's no old fashioned truth. Truth is truth. You align yourself, You benefit. You disalign yourself, You become a victim. It says that he, The, He who crashes into the gospel, You'll be broken. [25:19] But he, Of whom, Him who falls, Will be grinded. Don't stand in the way of the truth of God. That's what Jesus said, I think, Matthew 21, Somewhere there. So upon whom, Yeah, 21, 44. [25:32] Yeah, I remember 44. And whoever falls on this stone, Will be broken. But on whom, Whomever it falls, It's your grind. Don't stand in the way of God's word. [25:44] You'll be grounded to powder. Don't let it fall on you. I believe somebody, This year will be your most favorable year. Well, I was actually going somewhere, I went into it, I was telling you about, Acts chapter 30, It says, Not by our works. [26:03] And they saw, I was going to show you how, People like their works. But when they open their mouth to preach, They don't like their message. Everything Christians we do, Our behavior, It's not antisocial. [26:16] It's so good. We don't fight against people. People can we on the Bible, And we rather go and show them love. We are so, Harmless as dove. [26:31] We are, Christians are, So people feel comfortable, Because Christians will fight, Because that is not our assignment. We don't fight, We preach. Yes. [26:42] But unfortunately, They like our behavior, But they don't like our message. But it's the message that makes us who we are. Once we compromise on the message, You see the other side. [26:53] Some of you have, Let your sister go, Because of the contention. You forgive him, You forgive her, You forgive that young brother, You forgive that boy, Because now you are a Christian. [27:06] You should thank God for Christ. Because what you would have done to him. Had it not been for your Christianity, Some people will not even mess up with you in church. That's right. Amen. [27:23] There are things you can do, People fear you. But you have been tamed because of Christ. Sometimes they are making you rise up, And come back to yourself, But you keep yourself under. But you don't want to show what you can do. [27:36] You don't want to show what you can do. Because the old man is gone. If any man be in Christ, He is a new creation. The old has passed. Behold, All things have become new. Hallelujah. [27:47] 2 Corinthians 5, verse 17. So you are a new creature. Or you are a new creation. So you can't bring your old man. But that's what Christ does. Look at Paul, A killer. [27:59] 1 Timothy 1, verse 14, verse 13. He said, In former time, He said, Also, I was formerly a blasphemer, A persecutor, An insolent man. [28:13] That's what he was. But he said, I obtained mercy Because I did it ignorantly. Look at verse 14. He said, And the grace of God Was exceedingly abundant With faith and love Which is in Christ. [28:26] Verse 15 is amazing. He said, This is a faithful saying. And worthy of all, That Christ came to die, Came into the world To save sinners Of whom I am chief. That's the preacher. [28:37] He said, I am chief. Not I'm still currently, But that's what I was. But Christ came to die. Christ changes lives. In Acts chapter, I think, Nine, Towards the end, They said, They heard that He who once persecuted the church Has now started preaching What he was persecuting. [28:56] They were killing, Beating him, And he was forgiving them. He was letting them go. He never fought back. They beat him And put him in prison, Even though he was a Roman citizen. He never fought back. [29:06] He went to prison. Acts chapter 16. He was kept in prison overnight. And they praised God and praised. And verse 25, The Bible said, When they praised, There was an earthquake. [29:17] And the prisoners, Who were criminals? The criminals there, They were all free to go. But I told them, Nobody should go. This thing happened because of our state. I'm sure they preached to those prisoners. And then the jailer was coming to kill himself. [29:28] Because that jailer was the one Who was beating them And allowed them to. But he was, He took the knife. He said, This is supposed to go. If a prisoner escapes under your watch, You are supposed to die. He said, Before they killed me, Let me kill myself. [29:38] He took the knife. He saw it was about to kill me. They said, Hey, Don't kill yourself. We are all here. The man was shaking. He said, What must I do to be saved? And then they told him, Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ And you shall be saved. [29:51] You and your household. That night, He believed. They were preached to. He believed. And the household was saved. He brought them food. He cleaned their wounds. Paul, He cleaned their wounds. They are harmless. [30:03] That's what Christ can do for you. You claim you are born again, But you are a terror in your family. Everybody said, Christmas party, You were the one who created more problems. [30:14] Fighting for everybody. This Christian, Because of people who couldn't come. Evidence of a changed life. [30:25] Evidence of Christ in, A Christ in, An indwelt life. Christ indwells you. It will produce evidence. [30:36] For you shall know them By their fruits. Not by their homologia. It is not enough To have confession of faith. [30:51] You must have possession of faith. Possession of faith. Not just confession of faith. Too many of charismatic people Have confession, Confession, Confession. [31:04] It's almost like positive thinking.
