[0:00] Thank you for choosing to listen to today's message by Reverend Dr. David Entry. We know you will be blessed as you seek and serve God. We believe that this message will stir up a desire for more of God even as you listen. [0:13] Be blessed. Tell somebody my time has come. My time has come. Say to another person, this is the day the Lord has made. This is the day of God's day. And I believe God for a testimony. [0:24] I believe God for a testimony. When you are with God, or to put it another way, when God is with you. Enoch walked with God. [0:42] But God was with him. Joseph was put in prison. That's an interesting text, isn't it? [0:53] In Genesis chapter 39 verse 21. But God was with him in the prison. Joseph, ah. [1:05] So why is he in prison if God is with him? Because the prison was a necessary part of his testimony. Sometimes if you have not seen darkness, you wouldn't realize that God is the only light. [1:20] Sometimes it's okay to see darkness, to see that challenge. That's why the psalmist said, as for me, it was good that I was afflicted. If you haven't been through trial, you can't enjoy success. [1:34] When you've been through a state, a process, and afterwards the testimony comes, it makes the testimony sweeter. When we say God is Jehovah Rapha, or Rapha, according to Exodus chapter 15. [1:52] When we say Jehovah Rapha, or Jehovah Rapha, God our healer. You won't really appreciate it the way you should, until, unless you have ever been sick and God healed you. [2:05] Like our brother here, who was healed of cancer. He was supposed to have been dead. But he's alive. Hallelujah. Somebody shout hallelujah. [2:16] Hallelujah. Why is he alive? Because God healed him. So sometimes it's good to go through some things. Whatever you go through, make sure you keep walking with God. [2:33] That is your only guarantee for the future. Sometimes Satan will want to use your situation to kick God out of your life. [2:45] That is when your demise is endorsed. Yea, though I walk through the valley of death has surrounded me. [2:57] I'm in the valley. And the shadow of death is cast over the valley. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I'll fear no evil. [3:09] Why? Because God is with me. Joseph was kept in prison, but God was with him in prison. And the point I want to make is that when God is with you or you walk with God, it will show. [3:24] It will show. It will show in the events of your life. You and some other person can be going through similar challenges, but the outcome will be very different. [3:39] Yes. The outcome will certainly be different. What others go through and it kills them. What others go through and they lose their future, you can go through. [3:52] And because God is with you, you actually come out better. That is the enigma of working with God. That is the mystery about working with God. [4:03] That what was meant to kill you has actually given you life. So, they sold. Oh, man, I feel like preaching. They sold Joseph to get rid of him. [4:18] But in their attempt to get rid of him, they actually pushed him into destiny. What Joseph said, don't be afraid. In Genesis chapter 50, I think verse 19 or 20 somewhere. [4:31] He said, for you meant it for evil. It wasn't that you pulled the trigger and there were bullets in it you knew. But it was a revolving gun. [4:43] But the very place you pulled, there was no bullet there. But you thought there was a bullet. You pulled it to kill me. Oh, actually, it fired. But it hit my cross. [4:58] You meant to kill me. But you have made me know you are my killer. Because my plan was to buy this whole house and live with you for life. [5:09] I didn't know. Just before I signed the contract, you pulled the trigger. Just to help me know that I won't throw my destiny away. When God is with you, what was meant for evil, God... [5:26] Oh, come on. I feel like Gucci. Now, put it back on the screen. Genesis. It says that, but as for you, you meant evil against me. [5:36] You took this. And you wanted to harm me. So you threw it against me. [5:47] Because you knew that if this thing hits me, I won't do well again. You threw it. But when you threw it, God wanted someone to throw it. Because what God was going to do, it requires somebody throwing something to try to hurt you. [6:00] It looked like it was meant to hurt you, but it was actually meant to help you. Amen. They meant it to hurt you, but God needed that to help you. [6:16] Amen. God is helping somebody. Amen. The most important aspect of your testimony for tomorrow is your walk with God. Amen. [6:26] Amen. It's not who likes you or who doesn't like you. It's not what is working for you or what's not working for you. It's actually your ability to work with God. So Paul said in 2 Timothy, he said, I've kept the faith. [6:40] Verse 7, chapter 4. I've kept the faith. I've fought a good fight. He said, I've fought a good fight. I have finished my race, and I have kept the faith. So in other words, in spite of all the things that came up against him, all the things he went through, he made sure he was fighting a good fight. [6:57] He made sure he was targeting his cause, because every one of us has an assignment over your life. And you dare not die without fulfilling your assignment. [7:08] Because after death, judgment. He said, but the thing I want more, I like more. He said, I've kept the faith. Yeah. When you read down that same text, when you read down, Paul talks about how for everybody has forsaken me. [7:25] From verse 10 also. All has forsaken me. Demas has forsaken me. Having last day present and departed from me. And then go to the next verse. Go to the next. Only Luke is with me. [7:37] Mark. Get Mark and bring it. For it is useful for me for the ministry. Go to verse 12. And Titus, I have sent you. Verse 13. Everybody is gone. [7:48] Only Luke is with me. Demas who I thought to be my right-hand man has forsaken me. Paul went through so much. He said, when you are coming, bring the clock. And then he spoke about how for, he said, I was, God delivered me from the, the hands of the evil one. [8:07] Something like the bear. I think that when you go downwards. That was his last days. To the extent that he said, I am like an offering being poured out. [8:18] I'm ready to go. And he said, don't delay in coming. Because if you delay, you may not come and meet me alive. Yeah. Come before winter. [8:31] That's what Paul said. He said, because when you are coming, he said, bring me my coat. Come before winter comes. Don't delay. [8:42] And the one who said, I've kept the faith, he was writing from prison. And once he was writing from prison, he was still talking about how everybody has forsaken him. In his darkest moment, people have forsaken him by saying, I have kept the faith. [8:57] I've lost friends, but I've... I've lost money, but I have... I've lost some jobs, but I have... I've lost a potential husband, but I have... [9:11] I've lost a house, but I have... I've lost a potential wife, but I have... I have lost a potential child, but I have... [9:21] It does not matter what you lose. Keep the faith. Keep the faith. Tell someone, keep the faith. [9:34] Say somebody, say, keep the faith. God called Abraham. And Stephen was narrating the story of Abraham in Acts chapter 7. And he said, men and brethren, from verse 1. [9:48] Men and brethren. Verse 2. And he said to them, brethren and fathers, listen. The God of glory appeared to our father Abraham when he was in Mesopotamia. [10:03] Mesopotamia. Before he dwelt in Haran, God appeared to him when he was living in between. The land in between two rivers. Okay. Yeah. [10:15] Land in between two rivers. Yeah. That's what Mesopotamia means. Land in between two rivers. Hippopotamus. Yeah. [10:28] It's hippopotamus. I forgot. It has to do with leaves in water. But anyway. In between two rivers. And God appeared to Abraham and told him, go to the verse 3. And said to him, get out of your country from your relatives and come to a land that I will show you. [10:46] All right. Then the next verse. Watch this. Then he came out of the land. Because God said, he came out of where he had grown up. He has been comfortable. He's lived all his life. He had friends. He had classmates. [10:58] Football colleagues. I mean, everything he knows. He came out of the land and dwelt in Haran. And from there, when his father was dead, he moved. God moved him to this land in which we now dwell. [11:13] Our Abraham's descendants. Now, go to the next verse. And God gave him no inheritance in the land, nor even enough to set his foot on. But even when Abraham had no child, God promised to give it to him for a possession and to his descendants after him. [11:33] That's the key thing. He was childless. And yet God said, this land I'm taking you to. I'm going to give it to you and your descendants. Live where you are comfortable with. [11:46] And go to where you don't know. And when you get there, what I'll give to you is going to be for you and your descendants. At the time when he and his wife have tried and tried and he didn't have a child. He watches. [11:57] Go to the next verse. No, go to the next. But God spoke in this way that his descendants would dwell in a foreign land. And that they would bring them into bondage and oppress them for 400 years. [12:13] And God spoke to Abraham this way at the time that he was not a young man. The Bible says that he was 75 years old at the time God spoke to him. [12:25] But this is a story. But you remember why the story is there? Why? Why are there stories in the Bible? For our learning. For our learning. There's something God is trying to do in your life which Abraham's story is not complete until yours is. [12:42] So he says that God told Abraham to leave. And he left. In Genesis, sorry, in Hebrews chapter, all right, let's go. [12:54] Genesis chapter 12 verse 1 and verse 2. And the Lord had appeared to Abraham. The Lord had said to Abraham, get out of your country from your family and from your father's house to a land that I will show you. [13:06] Verse 2. The promise is coming. God always attaches from his name and I will make you a great nation. Guess what? He was childless. He was childless. [13:19] And God said, get out from what you know, what you are comfortable with, what you have grown up with. Leave it behind you. And move to a place I will show you. [13:29] And if you do that, he said, and I will make you a great nation. And I will bless you and make your name great and you shall be a blessing. And from what we read, Abraham left Hebrews. [13:45] Look at Hebrews chapter 11 verse 8. Let's all read it together, please. Let's read the last statement there from the end. [14:08] Let's go. One more time, please. For the last time, very last time, please. [14:21] You are waiting to know where you are going before you obey God. Where is this leading to God? No, no. God, before we go further, let's sit down and talk. Listen. [14:32] Oh, you know, I always want to talk about marriage. Pre-marital stuff. Lady, don't say, I don't know where he's going, but still, no. You have to ask him. That's different. He's not God. [14:42] Why would you marry a man who doesn't have a vision? Think about it. [14:54] The value of a man is not in his pocket. It's in his vision. Well, so, Abraham left his way of going. [15:04] And Bible said that, and he left not knowing where he was going. He didn't have to ask God, show me the road map. [15:16] That's all I'm trying to tell you. My message, actually, is pointing to a day. And that, to get to that day, it requires a season. [15:26] A season not of pain. Okay. A season not of sadness. A season not of troubles. Sometimes it can come with troubles. [15:38] Sometimes it can come with sadness. But the season, oh. The objective of the season is not for you to be sad. Yes. Yes. The objective of the season is not for you to be frustrated, for you to be humiliated. [15:52] The objective of the season is for you to learn how to transport. Amen. So he won't give you the road map. So, how many, I know some of you have done it before. [16:05] No one has done it to me before. And I haven't done it to my wife before. But they will blind you. They will tell you, I say, follow me and let's go. Let's go. Left. Let's go. And then they take you to that room where maybe there's a rose flowers or new carcass. [16:21] You know what I'm talking about. Something new. Especially up at... They say, close your eyes. Close your eyes. Let's go. Just follow me. And you, you, you. Close your eyes. Just follow me. [16:32] And then you are going. You're asking, where are we going? Where are we going? So I say, surprise. Surprise. Surprise. Surprise. [16:43] Surprise. Surprise. Yeah. And then they took you. And then when you got there, they took you. Say, oh. God has not got a surprise for you. [17:01] He has got a promise for you. Thank you. Please take your seat. So he says that there's no road map. When you are walking with God, don't look on the road. [17:14] Look up to God. So if you don't see anything, as long as you are still holding on to God's word, you're fine. You're fine. [17:24] Because God's word, Bible... The word will come to pass. Amen. Look at Psalm. I'll just go ahead of myself so I can finish early. [17:35] Psalm 105, verse 17, verse 18, verse 19, verse 20. Tell somebody, trust God. Trust God. You don't have to worry. [17:47] Amen. Amen. Amen. And don't you be afraid. Joy comes in the morning. Sorrows, they don't last always. For there's a friend in Jesus who wipes your tears away. [18:04] And if your heart is broken, just lay at your hands and say... So what you have to learn to do is trust and obey. [18:20] Psalm. Psalm what? Psalm 105. Psalm 105. Psalm 105. Psalm 105. Psalm 105. Did I say verse 17? Yes. I also want to read it from my Bible because this is too nice. [18:37] Psalm 105, verse 17. Wow. This is talking about the he there is God, okay? He, that's so you can put God instead of he. [18:50] God sent a man before them, even Joseph, who was sold for a servant. God sent, but he was sold. What I like is he didn't go, when he was sold, he didn't go there cursing God. [19:05] God, how can you allow this? Those who ask, who say, God, why have you allowed this? Why have you allowed this? Stop that. Trust God. Trust God. He's not meant to, his agenda is not to punish you. [19:20] It's to polish you. You might be good. Listen, if you walk with God, you'll go through uncertain moments. Uncertain times. And what is interesting is sometimes the uncertain times can be protracted. [19:35] Long period of what's going on. What's going on. Sometimes you don't know why your own case, everything gets delayed. [19:45] Everything is a battle. Everything, you see others oncoming. I can't talk about my own story. [19:58] You see people are made of honest, people who were part of our bridal team. Both male and female, they get married and they keep having children. They keep having children. [20:12] And every month, our own is not coming. Listen, if you're a human being, it will register. Sometimes some people, you know, my friend. [20:22] If he doesn't register, there's something wrong. When your cousins, you, some of you, you're about to have a big heart shock. When your cousin announces their wedding. And your heart will sing. [20:35] It's not that you are not happy for them. But it is highlighting your problem too much. Suddenly, it has reminded others. Ah, but what is happening to your own now? [20:47] And some aunties will purposely call you and ask you. That have you heard about the wedding of your cousin? Let me go back to Joseph. [20:59] So, they sold him, but God sent him. So, it's the same move. But it depends on where you are looking at it. So long as God was concerned in heaven, I'm sending my boy. [21:14] So long as his enemies and human beings were concerned, he's been sold. His brothers are betrayed, but God said, no, I'm sending him. They didn't know. I was sending him. [21:25] So, they sold, verse 17, he sent a man ahead. I'm trying to get your attention to something because what you are focusing on is what is delaying your testimony. [21:42] What you are focusing on is what is affecting your work with God. What you are focusing on, because you are focusing on now. But you are supposed to lift up your eyes. Trusting God and hope for the future. [21:55] Because God is too faithful to fail. Sometimes, listen, I'm telling you, I'm telling you, believe you me, sometimes it may take a very long time. And humanly speaking, you'll be tired of waiting. [22:11] Humanly speaking. That is why you need the comfort of scriptures and the hope of scriptures. Because you can't use your human whims and human abilities to trust God to the end. [22:25] Somewhere along the line, you fail. You can't. You can't. It's like racing with horses on foot. You are a human being racing. No. Even if you are using a boat, you can't go further. [22:40] Most of us here, if you try to train with more farah, it will be a problem. You'll be able to run fast. First few 50 meters. [22:53] But thereafter, hold your peace. Sit down. You don't have it in you. That is why I showed you the scripture that we, through the comfort, the patience first. [23:10] You can't walk with God without patience. Because Satan will show you how others are going ahead of you. Yeah. That's true. That's true. Satan will show you. [23:21] He will certainly show you how others are going ahead of you. Then my maid of honor, my bridesmaids, they were just marrying and getting children. People were desperate. [23:32] They were not getting marital breakthrough. I prayed for them. And they got married. And a few months after, they are pregnant. [23:44] Wow. And then their pregnancy reminds you. Oh, yeah. When we announce the next wedding, somebody's heart will sink. That is why you need to walk with God through the patience and the hope of scripture. [24:04] So when you see somebody's own, naturally you feel shaken. But guess what? You lean on the everlasting arms of God. You don't know where you are going, but you can trust him to take you there. [24:16] Listen to this. Don't let people's progress intimidate you. I don't know if I can say this. Listen. I stayed without traveling for many years. [24:32] Many years. More than the period of charis. Period charis has been in existence. Charis has been in existence for 16 years. Don't travel anyway. [24:44] Don't travel anyway. Stay. Stay. And our friends who were here, they're going back and forth. Back and forth. But watch this. [24:56] I never envied them, but I noticed it. Oh, you'll notice it. And those who sit in business class and take picture of food and themselves. [25:07] And the picture. It looks like these guys. And you see them in lounges. With their legs. Yeah, with their legs. Oh, understood. You'll fret. [25:23] You will fret. I'm telling you. Your situation does not block somebody's breakthrough. So if you don't know and you allow yourself, because every day someone is breaking through. [25:37] Just that he's got times and seasons. I couldn't have gone to Ghana, Pastor Joe, at a better time. [25:53] Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Because I followed God and walk with God and stayed on what I'm doing. [26:06] people who have gone ahead and have done things as I arrived it was more than a state visit so it doesn't neutralize what others have done ahead but definitely when I look at what God is doing I don't envy what others have got in the future I don't even because listen I look at that and I realize I like this my own my own is fine but before my own came sometimes I was looking at then you begin to be depressed you finish the same course with your friends and they are already flying high and look at you you are still at the same place not because you are lazy not because you are not trying not because you are not doing everything you should do but it looks like time and chance happens to them all and your chance is coming you are tired face that please who is behind you? [27:16] who is behind you? no one no, you can't say no one because he is behind me yeah, so he is behind me if you come and stand here and there is no one behind you then you can say no but I am telling you he is my friend he is behind me how about me? [27:36] behind you are you sure? yes why am I behind you? because so long as he is concerned I am behind him so long as I am concerned he is behind him why? he is behind me because I have my own front he also has his own front you understand? [27:54] so my front so long as if I can focus on my destiny and where I am going he is actually behind me but as soon as I tend to begin to focus on his destiny God has got times and seasons don't fret because somebody's marriage was announced don't fret because somebody's product has come up and is about to go to America don't fret don't fret because students you taught are now doing better and you have tried the same thing and everybody is going they are not going ahead of you you have your own front shout hallelujah hallelujah bible says I will come to Joseph but the bible says in Ecclesiastes chapter 3 verse 1 oh to everything there is a season to everything there is a season and a time for every purpose under heaven to everything there is a season you go to the shops and you realize that the clothes they call it is a new season a new line it is different new season and you go to the shops and summer clothes when you go to most shops you see mu mu dresses you know for holidays the shops and costumes and different multi-colored there is a [29:44] Mandela type kind of shirts you know exotic exotic why? because of the season it is a season but seasons change look at verse 11 let's read it let's read it out together one more time louder please in appointed time Jesus Christ was the promised Messiah he was promised from the time of Adam Adam he was promised since Adam God promised that Jesus is going to come promised that Jesus is going to come from the time of Adam Noah came no show Abraham came no show Joseph came no show [30:46] Moses came no show David came no show rather they say he's going to be the son of David and then after David Solomon came no show and then the kings followed and kings followed and kings followed and everything was going on years upon years and then Galatians I'll come back to Galatians chapter 4 Galatians chapter 4 verse 4 just shows up why? [31:11] no show in the days of Abraham but when the fullness of time had come fullness of time in Hebrew in Greek is the Kairos moment Kairos moment when the opportune time for action God knows what time is going to settle you but all one thing God requires of you one thing is that you can trust him and obey him that's why I started with Abraham sorry that's why he didn't give Abraham a road map he values your trust I don't know what you are going through but come on trust God come on trust God because my title is coming because there is a day coming wonder years ago it may sound very slightly funny but it's a reality so it's the reality of my type of guys years ago [32:21] I got born again when I was a teenager with all my friends and most of us about 80% of me and my friends were all virgins some of you when you see church boys you think they don't have feelings we are joking no okay I get it I'm telling you the truth church boys are as alive as the Tesco boy yeah but in church and sometimes when times delay there are times you wonder God so when will I also be free and in our days some of our friends got very angry in the name of religion against guys who were not married and were you know living with girls in a way that they said you we have to change no they are not talking for [33:26] Jesus it's jealousy they want that they don't get it they get they just get angry you know when you are fasting let's say we are all supposed to be fasting and still we are fasting you see one person is not fasting and he eats it and then when we call when we call let's see the team meet together we are going for special dinner because we are fasting you are thinking no no he shouldn't come so and then we got to the age of marriage and some of our friends started getting married and he told us about his wedding and we are not thinking about it women think about wedding men we don't think about the wedding no wedding no ah wedding is what is wedding for an unmarried man's focus is not the wedding yes am I speaking the truth at all no especially those who have kept themselves yes because there is a lot of tension in your body oh wretched man that I am who will deliver me from this body of pressure and when you start going out or dating as you say it a lady a christian lady and everything is decent some of the conversation will go into some areas and the man will keep saying one day [35:02] I don't know how many but me I said a lot of one days because I am not authorized but one day I will be authorized I had hope it was a big desire and that desire can be very big but just that if you are wise it doesn't define your direction you don't live based on your appetite you are going to school or you are going to get a job because they sell food there but the salary is not good but are you getting what I'm saying some of you are wondering how will it be on your day when God has finally given you a rest from this joblessness when you finally get the dream job or when you finally get your dream wife when you finally get your dream house when you finally have your children in the school you want some of these things or when you finally are in a private church for a business meeting you are wondering how would it go but you know there's something in you that knows that this thing [36:18] I'll have to be there one day there is a desire because some of the places I'm not talking about materialism some of the things that are in your heart the desire is because there is something about your destiny for that something about your destiny I have always desired to preach before I became a pastor I didn't know this what God has planned but even if he had not planned it I would have asked if God it must be because the desire was so strong and when I saw pastors I admired them when I saw pastors I just I loved pastors and I still do because there is something about them that my destiny could identify with so instead of being jealous about that bride know that it is just something about you it is just like what they are and it is a battle of time shout hallelujah hallelujah Jesus always spoke about a day on that day he always said there is a day a day a day a day if you live if you live your life without focusing on the day of God ahead you make a lot of damaging mistakes because you fret you be impatient you fight where you are not supposed to fight you envy when you are supposed to support and encourage when you are supposed to celebrate you can't celebrate you are envying because you think someone the car that person has bought is supposed to be yours you think that man he's married and she's getting married to you are supposed to be mine if it's yours why didn't it happen to you you are thinking [38:04] I should be the one to be applauded not her I'm the one so you because okay there is that desire in you because of where your destiny belongs to but that doesn't mean others cannot be celebrated that doesn't mean others cannot have it am I talking to somebody there is a day coming let me finish with Joseph the same some 50 some 105 verse 17 God sent Joseph ahead of them Bible says that Ecclesiastes chapter 9 verse 11 it said I've been young no no it says that the race is not to the swift I return and so understand that the race is not to the swift nor the battle to the strong neither yet bread to the wise nor yet riches to men of understanding nor favor to men of skill but what time and chance tell somebody my time has come and tell the person your own is coming yeah yeah yeah do you know do you know that one day you're going to be a granddad you'll be you'll be carrying your own grandchildren and it's like it's a dream times change when you enter the season suddenly you begin to feel what was the stress about them and oh this is what [39:50] I'm trying to get somebody to understand you can stress God out of action in your life you can stress so much that you have actually let God or God you have stressed him out you have stressed so much he's been moved out why because you can't trust you can't trust stressfully you can't be stressful you can't be fretful always you're frightened you're worried and I don't know why nothing is happening and trust God no that's not the attitude of the one trusting God the one trusting God talks like Job he said even if he slays me I'll trust him even if the whole world turns against me I'll be fine in Psalm 46 verse 1 it says that the Lord is our present help in time of trouble therefore even if the earth be moved we shall not fear even if the mountains be moved into the sea we shall not fear why because the Lord is our present help in time of verse 1 the Lord is our present help in time of very present help so it doesn't matter what kind of trouble we are in [40:55] God is our present help verse 2 he said because of that therefore will not we fear though the earth can you imagine the whole earth be moved you are standing on the earth I'm not afraid you can take the earth away where are you going to stand yeah I'm standing on God's word I want you to know when they tell you that God forbid but if your boss your employer tell you that this is your last week don't cry say thank you Jesus I trust you but how am I going to pay my rent I trust you how am I going to pay my bill I trust you how am I going to pay all these things I have I trust you how am I going to finance my car I trust you I trust you you trust God all owe will learn you love don't NASTY will use be used not be tested. An untested faith is an unreliable faith. Some of you, what is happening to you is just your faith is being tested. If you believe, you will find out. Now that you are in church, you will find out. And how long you can really believe, whether you are believing based on circumstances or you are believing because you trust God and courage. Abraham didn't have a road map. Joseph was sold. But let's see the end of the story. Thank you, [42:47] Jesus. Thank you, Lord. Thank you, Jesus. Thank you, Lord. There's a songwriter who in Africa sang a song. He says that the God who is able to is a great distributor of resources. The one, the God who is able to distribute for elephant to have some to eat and for the ant to also have some to eat. Elephant will have his portion, the ant will also have him and they will all be satisfied. He distributes it so well that the ant also gets to eat in spite of how much the elephant is eating. You will not be left out. He said that, the songwriter also said again that, if you see that God has done it for somebody, that means that your turn is coming. Amen. So, because he distributes in turns, in seasons, and in times. Some things will never happen to you, my darling, because in your destiny, you are supposed to be at a certain age. There's no way Jesus would have been anointed if he had done 1030. [44:01] Wow. Because so long as his destiny was concerned, it wasn't 12. But how about John the Baptist? He was anointed from his mother's womb. The Holy Ghost came upon him from his mother's womb. Jesus says the Holy Ghost came upon him when he was 30, not even when he was 12, and he was having serious discussions with church elders in the temple. I think that's the time the Holy Ghost, humanly speaking, the Holy Ghost should have come on him. But the Holy Ghost didn't come. I had to wait 18 more years. 18 more years. Why? Because times and seasons are not determined by your feelings. Times and seasons are determined by God because of your destiny. Tell somebody, my time has come. [44:48] So, Psalm 105, it says that he sent Joseph who they saw whose feet they hurt with fetters. [45:04] He was laid in irons. God, is that how he sent? You see, most of us think just normal. So, we assume we are trying to work with God, but we are far from that. Because if God sent this guy, some of us say, God, send me whatever you want me to do. You don't mean it. You don't mean it. You don't mean it. Even that relationship, you won't give that for anything. [45:30] Amen. And you are saying, God, whatever you want me to do. And just one person, God said, forgive. You are not ready to forgive. But you are saying, God, whatever you want me. Because when you are saying, whatever you want me to do, you believe that the church needs a lot of money to buy a building. So, you are saying, God, I want to be the one who responds to you. [45:47] Whatever you want me to do. God will not start from there. He will start from what is very close to you. He will ask for an Isaac. The Isaac you can't give to God, you can't keep for him. [46:03] Mmm. We can't keep for him. Let's finish this. Is that more like something? Yes. I came to prophesy, Pastor. A season is coming. Listen, one day we will be in our own auditorium. [46:23] Now, sometimes you are wondering, so when? So when? We keep saying when. It's not in your hands to know the times and the seasons God has set in his hands. Yes. It's yours. It's just to trust him. No, he said, go out. You don't need a road plan. Go up. Just keep looking at me. [46:38] Trusting him. Trusting me. And I will take out. God said, I will guarantee you will arrive where I told you. Amen. Amen. Amen. Don't fret and don't be in a hurry. Don't rush and be in competition with others. Because they are doing it. So it must also happen for you. [46:54] Amen. Amen. They hurt his feet. This is very serious, you know. Yeah, whose feet they hurt with fetters. He was laid in chains. Ah, God, is that how you say it? [47:05] No. No. No. No. No. He was laid in chains. No. No. No. No. No. [47:15] No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. [47:40] No. No. No. No. [47:50] If you don't take care, you will immortalize your challenge. Yeah, yeah. You will perpetuate something that was supposed to be ending a short time, but you have perpetuated it because you are not learning how to look up to God, the one who has promised. [48:17] And you are looking at, and now you are complaining, I don't know any man. I don't have anyone to help me. God didn't consult them before he promised you. He didn't consult them. [48:30] Men may live your life. John chapter 5, verse 10. Jesus met this guy. He was crippled. He couldn't go into the pool when the angels tested up. [48:40] And Jesus said, Jesus said, Luke chapter 5, sorry, Luke chapter 5, verse 10. No, it's John. Verse 7, I'm sorry. [48:51] Chapter 5, verse 7. John 5, 7. Please forgive me. John 5, 7. Yes. The sick man, verse 6. Let's go to verse 6. Let me show you. When Jesus saw him lying there and knew that he had already been in that condition a long time, he said to him, do you want to be made well? [49:07] He said to him, do you want to be made well? Look at how the man answered. The sick man said, I have no man. That's the problem. [49:20] That's the problem. I have no man. Instead of saying, I have no other God like you. I have no man. [49:32] I like that. Get up and come, please. God said, follow me. And he's in front of you. You've stopped. You are looking for a man. [49:45] I have no man. But God said, follow me. You don't need to know who is going to do it. Follow me. And then you see God going in. You get encouraged. You take one step. [49:56] And you start looking for a man who will help me. I have no man. I've become your mantra. You are looking for people who will give you contacts. People who have contacts. [50:08] So anybody who comes in your life, you are beginning to think that maybe this is the potential one. What are you doing online? Someone who walks with God. You have searched online, online, online for so many different partners. [50:20] Every time you are online. Instead of listening to the messages online, you are looking for partners. No, don't take it. Leave it. You are looking for partners online. [50:31] And you, see, I'm not saying it's bad. But it's just where you're, it depends on. You've stayed there so long. Every time you have registered with about seven agencies. Seven dating agencies. [50:44] Dating, online dating agencies. Wow. With a monthly subscription. And you are using your tithe. [50:59] And you are complaining. I can't give money to church. You can give it to agencies and they won't give you anything. You are looking for contacts. [51:12] You are looking for contacts. You want people to open doors for you. So you are always, you are always, look, you are, you are discriminative when it comes to treating people. [51:25] Because you treat them based on what you think they can help you with. That's why you're discriminating. You saw this guy, you saw that the shoe he's wearing is very expensive. So his car must be fine. [51:36] That's why you followed him to the car park. Just to see. You engage in conversation. You are discriminating. And the other one who came dressed down. Dressed simple. [51:47] He didn't know that this one is a destiny partner. He's a destiny helper. He may not have the money, but he's a destiny friend. See, because you can't trust God, you are not looking for a man. [52:00] Yeah. You are looking for a man. You are looking for contacts. Someone to help me. Someone to help me. Someone who, you are desperately looking. And so, you, people don't even trust you because they can see through you that you are an opportunist. [52:15] Trust you. If you can't trust God, men can also trust you. Yes. Yes. Because you are an opportunist. Because there's something you are looking for in life. And you are trying to look, you are looking for people to work over whose heads you can work to climb. [52:30] You want to work on. Some people come into relationship with you because of what you live and where you live, the job you are doing. They saw the car. Suddenly, they've abandoned the other friend they normally go home with. [52:44] And you are the one. You are the one. You are the one. You are. Suddenly. Can you imagine? Suddenly, since you shared your testimony, this person has become a very close friend to you. Father. [52:57] Father. Father. Father. Since you said you brought your brother to church and they saw him and they knew he's not married. [53:09] Suddenly, their attitude towards you has changed. Every time. When they say, welcome somebody, they'll move from the other side. Come all the way to where you are sitting to shake your seat. [53:19] I know you are in church. I know you are in church. And we are all susceptible to stuff like that. And you can easily treat people special because of what you are looking for them. [53:33] Because you are focusing on man. The man stayed there because all along he was looking for a man. Amen. Amen. When God said you will get married, don't be thinking about, but I have no man. [53:49] Just trust him for that date. Amen. Am I talking to somebody? Yes. I have said too much. Let me finish the Joseph one. [54:01] Please sit down. So, they hurt his feet. Put it on the screen. I have to finish it. Have you noticed I like holding my Bible? Yes. Amen. I like Bibles. It's a nice Bible. [54:12] Where is it? They hurt his feet. They hurt his feet. The next verse. But until the time that his word came, the word of the Lord you are holding on to will try you. [54:28] The word is it? Is it the word you are holding? You are trusting God. The word will try you. To find out where your heart actually is. Some can't serve in church long. [54:39] Some can't serve in church. They have their own personal agendas. They are doing what they know. You are joining the choir because of your agenda. [54:51] You are joining the choir because you want to launch an album. And so when you are doing your album launch, a lot of people will come. And then the resources of the choir can be used. I am telling you human nature. Some people will join departments because of a guy they are trying to impress. [55:07] Or a lady they are trying, whose attention they are trying to get. Some of you are seated here this morning because you want to impress somebody. You wouldn't have come. It's a man you are focusing on. It's a man you are focusing on. [55:19] A woman you are looking for. You are coming because of that woman. Coming because of that man. Because you say, oh, you have to visit our church. You say, oh, your church. I'll come. I'll come. I'll come. And say he came. And then he came again. [55:29] And he came again. And you are not looking for Christ. But you are looking for that girl. God has seen you. And the girl you will not get unless she's finished. [55:44] Until the time. All I'm trying to say is that it won't be permanent. Seasons come and seasons go. God. God. You have to learn how to say God has gone my times. [55:58] And my seasons. In the sense. There was gloom. Darkness. And God yet can call for light out of darkness. He doesn't need a man like the way some of us need a man. [56:11] To be the God he is. If he said he will do it. Trust him. And when the time of God comes. Look at it. Look at verse 19. And when the time of God. Verse 18. Sorry. 20. [56:22] 20. Then the king sent and loosed him. The ruler of the people. Let him go. Is that all? Oh no. I haven't finished with you. It says. [56:33] And he made him lord over his house. It's a matter of time. When I was traveling. God started talking to me. About jubilee. And this word. [56:46] God told me. Many people. We easily. We don't trust him. So. We worry. But Abraham trusted me. And didn't bother about him. [56:56] Not having a map. He trusted me. He said. We find it difficult to trust him. We want to see. Before we go. Okay. I can commit myself to it. [57:08] We want to see. That's why unbelievers are advising you. Now you can move. Unbelievers are advising you. That's why unbelievers have become. Your key advisors. [57:18] And they are telling you. How to treat that wife of yours. Telling you. How to treat your husband. Telling you. How to treat their situation at work. Telling you. How. You shouldn't forgive her. [57:30] Telling you. Unbelievers. Your advisors. You'll be stranded in life. Telling you. You have. You have relegated God. To the back burner in your life. [57:41] Or you've actually disengaged God. In your life. Because you are surrounded with natural thinkers. Smart thinkers. One of the things that can cause you. Cause the way you are fast. [57:52] You are smart. So you know how to calculate everything. God will strip you of that. Before he takes you any further. Oh yeah. God doesn't even like working with smart people. Wow. Yeah. [58:03] You are very smart. He'll strip you of that. And some of you. Things have delayed. Because he's still working on you. Joseph. That's what he did to Joseph. Joseph knew how. He was able to trick his father. [58:14] For his father to give him the blessing. But when he got to the actual blessing to come. Do you know what God did to him? People said God dislocated the hip of his. Did I say? [58:26] Jacob. Sorry. Jacob. God dislocated the hip. And he couldn't stand by himself again. He had to lean on a staff. Genesis chapter 32. He had to lean on a staff. [58:37] He had to lean on a staff. And then. When the angel realized I wasn't prevailing. He said. Let me go. He said. I won't let you go. Till you bless me. I know you hurt me. But you have to bless me. The one who hurt you. [58:47] Was carrying your blessing. He didn't get angry with him. He said. You hurt me. But you have to bless me. You have to bless me. And he said. What's your name? He said. My name is Jacob. He said. Your name is Shalong. That was when God blessed him. [58:58] After he had been. The strongest part of his humanity. Alright. The strongest part of the human body. Is in this area. I don't know what you are so strong in. [59:11] That makes you very proud. Confident in yourself. God will want to take care of that. You won't lose it permanently. Later on. When you have it. It doesn't mean anything to you. Because God is your source. [59:21] You are beautiful. That's why no one is coming. God is not giving you a man. You are beautiful. You are beautiful. You are beautiful. And you heard it so much. [59:33] To me. You are beautiful. You are beautiful. You are beautiful. And the beauty is not working. You say you are trusting God. But one eye is looking up. [59:43] And you are trying to look down with another eye. Can you do that? It doesn't work. Both eyes should look up. Or down. If you want God to give you. A blessed marriage. [59:55] Stop focusing on what you know should work for you. And it makes you better than others. God will not back it. What should you focus? God is faithful. And you are humble. [60:06] And God gives grace to the humble. In conclusion. Trust God. There is a day coming. When all this wait will be over. Amen. Somebody shout Jubilee. [60:22] Jubilee. There is a day coming. When the wait will be over. Amen. And the wait will be history. Amen. You've waited and waited and waited. But there is a day coming. [60:33] When the wait will be history. In the name of Jesus. The only way you can enter. Is just keep trusting God. Amen. And one day. As he has said. So shall it be. In Jesus name. [60:44] Did you receive something? Amen. Amen. Amen. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Amen. Please let's bow our heads. I want you to pray. And surrender to God. [60:54] And tell God. God I trust you. I trust you. I trust you. I may not have a man. I may not have anyone to help me. I may not. Even the ones who are in my life. [61:06] To help me Lord. I choose to take my eyes off them. And fix my eyes on you. Let's pray that prayer. Okay. Okay. Let's rise to our feet right now. Let's rise to our feet. I need you to pray that prayer. Let's. You can lift up your right hand. [61:17] And talk to God. Talk to God. That God. I choose to trust you. Ah. This is. This is a miracle service. This is a miracle service. This is a miracle service. [61:30] Pray. Lift up your right hand. And say God. I surrender it all to you. I surrender it all to you. I'll trust you. It doesn't matter how it hurts. How it costs. It doesn't matter. [61:41] I'll trust you. I will trust you. And I trust you. I commit my future days in your hands. I commit. I. Sometimes I'm afraid of the future. Ah. Sometimes I'm afraid. [61:53] Sometimes I'm afraid. But Lord. I trust you. The psalmist said. Oh Lord. My God. Whenever I'm afraid. I will trust in you. Pray. And say. God. There are issues in my marriage. [62:04] There are issues in my health. There are issues in my children. There are issues in my finances. There are issues in my career. There are issues in my life. There are issues in my life. I may be afraid. I choose to trust you. [62:15] Lord. I trust you. Lord. Come on. Come on. Come on. Commit yourself to God. Trust in the Lord with all your might. And lead not on your own understanding. But in all your ways. [62:26] Acknowledge him. And he will direct your path. Tell Lord. God. Oh Lord. I do. I trust you. Oh Lord. I depend on you. Oh Lord. I look up to you. Lord. [62:36] Help me. Lord. I choose to put my faith in you. I choose to put my trust in you. I know my help comes from the Lord. I will lift up my eyes to the hills. [62:47] From where comes my help? My help comes from the Lord. Who made the heavens and the earth. Our help is in the name of the Lord. Somebody pray. About your children. About your family. [62:59] About your marriage. About your health. Don't be afraid. About your financial situation. God. Things seem to be getting out of hands. Things seem to be getting out of hands. [63:10] Hey. Don't be afraid. Trust God. Trust God. Tell God Lord. I surrender my fears. I surrender my pride. I surrender my own ways of doing things. [63:23] I surrender it Lord. And I trust you. I trust you. With my marriage. I trust you. With my health. I trust you. With my family. [63:35] I trust you. With that court case. I trust you. With that job. I trust you. With that financial crisis. I trust you. With that issue. [63:46] I trust you. Thank you Jesus. Please lift up your right hand. Say Lord Jesus. Lord Jesus. I trust you. [63:57] I trust you. I may not understand it all. I may not understand it all. But I choose. I choose. Through the comfort. With that heart. The patience. Of the scriptures. [64:08] To have hope. To have. In you. Lord. Lord. Forgive me. Forgive me. For my lack of trust. Forgive me. For my unbelief. [64:20] Forgive me. For depending. On the arm of flesh. I repent. And I choose to trust you. And I know. Yes. Even though. [64:31] I walk through the valley. Of the shadow of death. I will fear no evil. For you are with me. I fear no evil. Because you are with me. I trust you Lord. [64:43] If you cannot do it. May it remain undone. If you cannot help me. May I never be helped. I know. My help. [64:53] Is in your name. So I trust you. I will not depend. I will not put my confidence. In human nature. In human systems. In human organization. [65:05] In my smartness. In what I have. Which seems to work for people. Lord. I will not put my confidence in that. I put my hope. I put my confidence. [65:17] I put my trust. In you. Oh Lord. Thank you. For the privilege. I know. You've got times. And seasons. [65:28] In your hands. My time. Is in your hands. My seasons. Are in your hands. So I trust you. I may not understand it. I may not have the road map. [65:40] I may not have the road map. But I have you. Having you. Is enough. I trust you Lord. Thank you Holy Spirit. In Jesus name. [65:50] Amen. We thank God for using his servant. Reverend Dr. David Entry. To share this awesome word. If this message has blessed you in any way.
