[0:00] Thank you for choosing to listen to today's message by Rev. Dr. David Entry. We know you will be blessed as you seek and serve God. We believe that this message will stir up a desire for more of God even as you listen. [0:14] Be blessed. In John chapter 12 verse 24, Jesus said, Except a grain of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it abides alone. [0:25] But if it dies, it brings forth much grain. Read it, Pastor Joshua, quickly. John chapter 12 verse 24. Most assuredly I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains alone. [0:41] But if it dies, it produces much grain. It produces what? Much grain. It produces what? Much grain. Jesus in his earthly life was alone. [0:52] He was one. But he died to produce to God many, many, many Jesus and many, many Christ. That's why you are called a Christian. You are a version of Jesus. But you alone can't make it. [1:03] You can't be the Jesus. So we all, even though we are much grain, he was one grain, fell to the ground and died and produced you and I who have become much grains. [1:15] But the much grains together, we are not, it's not an individual grain that makes the difference. It is the corporate grain. Final scripture. First Corinthians. [1:26] First Corinthians. First Corinthians chapter 10. We are going to read verse 16 and verse 17. [1:38] First Corinthians chapter 10, verse 16 and verse 17. Right. Can you read it, Pastor? The cup of blessing which we bless. Is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? [1:51] Is it not what? The communion. What's communion? Any translation has a different rendering? Yeah. Any translation different? The cup of blessing of which at the Lord's Supper, upon which we ask God's blessings. [2:06] Does it not mean that drinking it, we participate in and share a fellowship? Participation, fellowship. We share in fellowship. We participate in. [2:17] We share fellowship. So it says, this communion cup we are drinking, is it not? The Greek word there is koinonia. Koinonia, which means interaction, fellowship, transaction amongst people. [2:33] This is koinonia. Interaction is give and take. I'm drawing strength from him. This is like a tug of war. It's not one person. Normally women tend to win than men. [2:47] Tug of war. It's not a strength, strength. Women are strong. They are strong. They have serious strength in their hip region. Because to carry pregnancy and baby, that's why they have hips. [2:58] Or if you hold a child and put a child in a man, he will slide down. But if you hold a child, it's like it fits into the woman's seats. So koinonia, interaction, fellowship. [3:12] Okay. Koinonia. It says, this is interesting. It says that cup that we bless and drink, communion cup. Is it not the fellowship? The koinonia of what? [3:25] Kobe. Is it not our participation? In the fellowship. So as we are drinking it, we are actually participating in the fellowship. As you drink communion, you are actually sharing in this Christ's life life. [3:42] Communion. And continue. Read it again. Go ahead. From the beginning. The cup of blessing upon which we ask. What kind of cup is it? [3:53] What kind of cup is it? Today you are going to take the cup of blessing. How can you drink the cup of blessing and walk into a curse? How can you drink the cup of blessing and go out and your life is the same? [4:06] No. Something. The father, father, father, father, father. Isaac blessed Jacob. And his life was never the same again. But you are drinking the cup of blessing. Bible calls it the cup of blessing. [4:18] I see blessing following you out of here. The cup of blessing upon which we ask God's blessing. Does it not mean that in drinking it, we participate in and share a fellowship? [4:32] A communion in the blood of Christ, the Messiah. The bread which we break. Does it not mean that in eating it, we participate in and share fellowship? [4:43] So in drinking and eating, we participate and share fellowship where? In the body of Christ. Share fellowship where? In the body of Christ. A church member who doesn't eat communion. [4:53] A Christian who doesn't eat communion. In what way are we sharing fellowship? Watch this. Verse 17 says, For we, no matter how numerous we are, are one body because we all partake of the one bread. [5:09] The one whom the communion bread represents. The communion bread represents somebody. And it, we, it doesn't matter how many we are. As we partake in this, we are all sharing in one. [5:24] Read it from the King James. You will like this. Listen to this. For we, though. Before he reads it. He says that except a grain of wheat falls to the ground and dies. [5:38] What happens to it? It remains alone. But when it dies, what happens to it? What happens to it? It brings much what? [5:53] Read it. Verse 17. For we, though many, are one bread and one body. For we all partake of that one bread. So, we who are many, we form one bread. [6:08] How do you get bread? By grains, isn't it? It is grain. Blending the grain together to get one. So, we are actually bread. We are bread. We are. Can I hear someone say, we are bread? [6:20] We are bread. Say, we are bread. We are bread. Wow. Some of you, you never knew. We are bread. We are the body of Christ and we are bread. One bread. [6:31] And so, as we eat the body of Christ, we share in communion. We are actually, we being one bread are the house of God. And God is actually the God of Bethel. [6:44] He is the God of the house of God. So, he needs us to be many and yet one. Israel. He changed his name to Israel, but that guy thought it was just about him. [6:56] It's not just about you. It's about the house of God. God's focus is on his house. And he wants you to be part of his house. So, every altar you build must be directed towards his house. [7:08] What's the essence in people telling me, I'm going for retreat? When it's time for church, there are times, so I'm going away to go and look for God. See, the best time to look for God is when we have got it. [7:23] Don't exempt yourself. You are a grain. You exempt yourself from the bread to go and look for the God of bread. We want the God of bread. His commitment is on the bread. You are going as a grain. [7:35] One grain cannot form bread. Many grains form what? Bread. And it says that even though we are many, it doesn't matter how numerous we are, we are one bread. [7:46] And every time we share communion, we say, that's why I started with the faith, verse 16. It says, the body, the blood, the cup of blessing which we bless. Is it not the blood of Christ? [7:58] Is it the communion of the blood of Christ? And it says, the bread we break and bless. Is it not the communion of the body of Christ? So, as we are sharing, as we share in this thing, we are reinforcing our connection to get thatness as one body of Christ. [8:17] Who should take it? As long as you stop sharing in communion, you disconnect yourself from the entire flow of the body. The point here is that you are part of a body. [8:29] And as long as you reinforce your communion, your fellowship, your participation, Satan finds it quite difficult to get you. [8:40] When we move as a team, togetherness, it's hard for us to be attacked individually. When an animal wants to, like a tiger or a lion, wants to eat one of the antelopes, he has to separate him from the heads. [8:58] So, he follows a lot of them by his target because he can't chase all of them. If you are separated from the Lord, you become chief prey. So, he's a target. [9:10] You keep staying away because God has said he's the God of the house of God. That's why we share the bread. When we break it, even though it's individual, you have your own, no, it's reinforced. [9:23] We are all together. Not only here in Carys, but all around the world, all other Christians who everywhere share communion, we share the same body. That should make you clap for the Lord. [9:38] Now, finally, because we are all sharing one body, my health begins to become your benefit. [9:53] That's what I'm saying. So, as a local church, the way we take communion together, it means that once we are taking the communion, the healthiest one amongst us, we begin to sap. [10:05] It's because it's their cup of blessing. It's not a cup of burden. So, wherever the blessing is, we begin to tap into that blessing. If we take communion together and see sickness, flu, when I come close to her and she has flu, I can catch it. [10:22] That is nature. But blessing is, when I come close to her, she has flu and I don't have flu, flu will leave. That's it. [10:35] Water flows down, doesn't flow up. That's how blessing is. So, then, blessing is always on top. So, blessing is, so when you walk with someone who is blessed, your curse is not going up. [10:48] The blessing is coming down. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. So, once we come together and we take communion, whoever has the strength of the blessing in a certain area, maybe family life, marital life, and it begins to, that, that grace begins to come towards you. [11:05] That's why I spoke about injection. When the injection is given in your ankle, it climbs up. Snake can bite you on your toe, but very soon your brain will stop working. [11:19] Because it's one body. So once something is affected, the whole thing comes up. And Bible is saying we are one body. So we share fellowship. As we bless the cup of blessing and we drink it together, the blessing, oh man, oh man. [11:35] Oh man, someone is receiving the healing. Somebody is receiving fresh energy. Somebody is receiving the blessing. Why? [11:46] Because he's the God of the house of God. The same thing. We are in one body. And everything, if the blessing comes into the body, it's passing on to all of us. [11:59] And burden and curses cannot come. Because it's a cup of blessing. So what it does is it blocks the flow of the negative and it enhances the flow of the positive. [12:11] Because it's the cup of blessing. Wow. Wow. Did someone receive some insight here? Yeah. Maga, gag, gag, gag, gag, gag. [12:23] It is koinonia. It is participation. You are partaking in the blessing on that brother's life. You are actually becoming a shareholder. Amen. If God is behind that lady's marriage, blessing on, that marital blessing on her begin to flow in your direction. [12:41] Wow. Shaka, ba, ba, ba, ba, ba, ba. Blessing is flowing on us. Master Charles, what I like most, he said, is that the cup of blessing, that alone is good enough. [12:54] The cup of blessing which we bless. Is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? If we are one, then the same blood is flowing through us. [13:04] And it's the cup of blessing. The bread which we break. Is it not the koinonia, the communion, the fellowship of the body of Christ? He says, even though we are many members, we are one body. [13:18] We are one body. We all were made to be grains so that the grains would come together to form one big bread. So when Jesus said, I am the bread of life, he's talking about you and I coming together to be the bread of life.
