Thank you for choosing to listen to the Spirit-filled Word by David Entry. A time to hear God's Word is a time to be visited. [0:11] May you receive a visitation as you listen to this message. Be blessed. Hallelujah! Please be seated for a moment. [0:24] Hallelujah. Praise God. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. In a moment, we'll be rising to pray. And then I'll attempt to share a few words. [0:38] But let me give you a prayer topic. Amen. We want to pray. There is no need to retain certain problems when prayer can take care of it. [0:51] And there is no need to defer prayer when you don't know how, where situations can go with what you are going through. [1:06] Anything you are going through, there can be a prayer outcome for it. It might not be instant, but you will live to see the answer. [1:23] Did you understand what I mean? It might not be instant. So, like, if you pray about something now, sometimes you might not see the answer based on your prescription. [1:36] However, if it's a genuine prayer in line with the will of God, the outcome will be as though you have seen it. [1:46] So, even if God, the outcome happens next week, but you wanted it tomorrow, and you didn't see the answers tomorrow, when God is showing his visiting with the answers, it will not be different from the effect it would have been if it had been tomorrow as you wanted. [2:06] Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Praise God. All right. So, it's necessary to pray. Sometimes you don't feel like praying. [2:16] How many of you have had situations, times when you don't feel like praying? Let me see my hands. In fact, most people, most times, you don't feel like praying. Prayer is so much hard work for the natural man. [2:38] Prayer is so much hard work. So, you need the discipline and the determination to engage constantly in prayer. [2:53] And prayer shouldn't be once in a while, but prayer should be always. Always. Luke 8.1. [3:04] Man, always. As long as you are a human being, then... Did I say eight? Sorry, 81. Luke 81. As long as you are a human being, then prayer must be always. [3:19] Somebody say always. Always. So, man always ought to pray and not to faint. [3:30] Prayer is... 1 Thessalonians 5.17 says, Pray without ceasing. Colossians 4.2 says that let prayer continue or continue in prayer. [3:48] So, prayer must be a... There shouldn't be a prayerless moment in your life as a Christian. [3:59] That means that you are likely to suffer satanic harassment around the period where prayerlessness is under increase. The more prayerlessness is under increase. [4:12] The more... The more God can do things for people. Or God can act. It says that let your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. [4:25] So, there is a will of God in heaven. But someone needs to pray for it to be manifested on earth. Because God has given the earth. He says, the earth you have given to the sons of men. [4:39] So, when it comes to the earth, sons of men are here. And if God has to show up in the lives of sons of men, then somebody, some way, somehow, must be able to learn how to call on God or how to pray. [4:58] One of the advantages people can have in prayer is that God is merciful. That is your biggest breakthrough in prayer. [5:10] So, if you look at today's reading, these are very stubborn guys. Very stubborn. But you could see, actually from last week, you keep seeing the constant interjection of the mercies of God. [5:25] The mercies of God. They said, but God was so gracious to them. Or God was, sorry, merciful. So, you can see the mercies of God is what authorizes God to answer prayers. [5:38] Because for some of us, some prayers of God should never answer your prayer. I mean, do I have a witness here? Yeah. You remember Psalm 3? [5:48] Sorry, Psalm 103. We read it a few days ago. Psalm 103. What got my attention is, I think, verse 8, 9. Before the 10. But I always, I'm very familiar with the verse 10. [6:01] But when I saw verse 8 and 9, I think there was something there that got my... The Lord is merciful and gracious. Slow to anger and plenteous in mercy. That is your advantage in prayer. [6:14] That's your advantage. Because God, he said, King James said, plenteous. He has so much mercy. Mercy means that when judgment should work against you, mercy stands in the way. [6:27] And he said, let's spare this one. Spare this one. So, Jesus told the parable of somebody who was owing in Matthew chapter 18. [6:38] He was owing. And they said, pay the money. And he said, I didn't have some to pay. So, his boss said, the king said, I'm going to throw you into prison. And then he says that, he cried and said, please, have mercy on me. [6:53] Have mercy on me and I'll pay you. And he showed him mercy. And then he, the same guy, went and found someone who was also owing. And then he says that, be patient. [7:04] So, he said, be patient with me and I'll pay. Then look at, he went and saw someone who was owing him. And he caught the person and threw him in prison. And on Lucas, went and told the boss, look at what this guy you just forgave. [7:17] Look at what he has done. So, the king called the guy and called him back. And he says that, oh, you wicked servant. I forgive you all your debt because you desire me. [7:28] Look at what he said. The next verse, should you also have not had compassion. When you use some translations, he said, mercy. Compassion is mercy. So, he said, should you also have not had mercy on somebody. [7:42] That means that when you ask God for him to do something, the first thing that you enjoy from him is mercy. That is why it says that, come boldly, Hebrews chapter 4 verse 16, before the throne of grace. [7:57] That you may obtain mercy. Did you see that? So, when you come for anything to work from God for you, it requires mercy. And he said, God has got so much mercy. [8:08] In fact, in 2 Chronicles chapter 20, I think 20, 21, 22 there. They went before the king, the army, and sang the song, his mercies endures for. [8:21] In fact, he has so much mercy, God can never run out of mercy. As long as they are human beings. One of his attributes or his characteristics is a merciful God. [8:35] That is why it doesn't matter how low you get to, you can always find your way back to God. And ask God to have mercy. And he will have mercy on you. So, what we just read in Psalm, it says that Psalm 3, 8, said, God is plenteous in mercy. [8:50] He has a lot of mercy to give. The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous, look at verse 9, plenteous in mercy. He will not always chide, neither will he keep his anger forever. [9:05] So, you did something that means your prayer should not be answered. The Bible said he will not keep his anger forever. You'll find, manage to find your way back to God. [9:16] I know you did something last night. I know you have been doing some things that you know why. Sometimes when you pray, you know why your prayers should not be answered. How many of you, I mean, if you're not. [9:27] There are times you pray and you know. In fact, you know these prayers shouldn't be answered. Yeah, somebody went to the temple, the same thing, Luke chapter 18, verse 17. [9:40] I'm sorry, verse 11. And he prayed and his prayers, he wasn't even qualified. So, he bowed his head. He knew that he couldn't wake. But there's something that when you pray, you approach God with, it makes your prayer get access. [9:54] He beat his chest and he said, God, be merciful unto me as sinner. The reason why God is able to deal with sinners, why is God able to deal with sinners? [10:08] To relate with sinners. Mercy. So, the Bible says that the verse 10 in Psalm 103, he has not dealt with us according to. What? [10:18] If God should regard iniquity. He has not dealt with us according to our sins, nor rewarded us according to our iniquities. God has not dealt with you yet. [10:33] You better pray and stay safe. Because, the Bible says that his favor, his anger is for a season. [10:52] So, his anger is for, you don't know when the anger will actually catch up on you. Praise the Lord. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. So, we'll pray and then I will share a few words. [11:05] Okay, we will just pray. Shall we please rise to our feet? How many of you believe God answers prayers? And God has committed himself to the answering of prayers. [11:17] Wow. And it's like he's waiting for you to pray so he can answer. Can you imagine? Almighty God said he wants to team up with you in whatever you do on earth. [11:29] He never works on earth. He never works in your family. He will never work in our church. He will never work in our nation. He will never work in our generation unilaterally. He said, I sought for a man to stand in the gap. [11:45] God will always look for somebody. He will always look for somebody. And I believe there is someone here who will say, God, you have found me. You have found me. You have found me. [11:56] You have found me. Oh Lord, let your counsel stand. Oh Lord, you see, God's power to act on earth is loaded in the mouth of believers. [12:11] God's power to act on earth has to do with prayer might. In the mouth of believers. If believers don't pray, the world is in trouble. [12:23] Hallelujah. Hallelujah. So we want to pray as a church. We want to pray and we want to pray that God let your counsel stand. With what? [12:35] With counsel. The advances of the enemy. The advances of evil. Advances of Satan. Somebody lift up your voice and pray that prayer right now. Thank you for listening to this message by David Entry. [12:51] The best thing that can happen to you is being exposed to the word of God.
