[0:00] Thank you for tuning into this message by David Entry. Every true revival is a product of the strong preaching of God's Word. May you receive a word from this message that will spark a revival in you. [0:14] Don't forget, one of the reasons why we pray is that God answers prayers. 1 John 5, verse 15 says that, And if we know he heareth us, then we know that whatsoever we have asked, or whatever petition we have asked before, we have received it. [0:39] Amen. On condition that we know he hears us. So if God hears prayers, then any time you pray, you have to pray with this understanding that God will answer. [0:54] Or a higher understanding is God has answered. He said, let such a one not think he can receive anything from God. [1:08] James chapter 1, verse 6, 7. Because an unstable person is unstable in all his ways. A double-minded person is unstable in all his ways. [1:20] He said, let not such a man think he will receive. So he said, when you come to God and you are asking for something, you have to ask in faith. So one of the expressions of our confidence in our prayer, 1 John 5, verse 14, said, this is the confidence we have. [1:41] This is the confidence. This is that. And this is the confidence that we have in him. And the confidence is attached to our prayers. So this is the confidence that we have. [1:51] That when we ask anything, anything, is there anything too hard for you? When we ask anything, according to his will, he hears us. [2:03] And we know that if he hears us, and we know that if he hears us, then whatever we ask, we know that we have the petition that we desire of him. Jesus says that, whatsoever you desire, when you pray, Mark 11, 24, 23, 24, whatsoever you desire, when you pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. [2:25] When you pray, believe that ye receive. So when you receive is when you pray. So long as the man of faith is concerned, so long as the woman of faith is concerned, when he's praying, at the time he prays, is the time he knows he has received. [2:43] It's not when the thing shows up. He said, when you pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. So you receive it before you have it. [2:58] This is the confidence we have in praying. So that is why it says, be anxious for nothing but in everything. By prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving. [3:10] So that's why every good prayer must have some elements of thanks. Elements of appreciation. And elements of rejoicing. [3:23] Come on, let's clap for Jesus. Let's celebrate him. Because today is day number 19. [3:40] And I see somebody rising in strength and strength. The songwriter says, the strength will rise as we wait upon the Lord. [3:54] As we wait upon the Lord. Faith rises as we wait upon the Lord. Amen. Someone shout hallelujah. Hallelujah. Your teaching will give you an upper hand. [4:05] There is sound doctrine. Satan cannot comfortably operate. You must be mature to understand the weight of that statement. Satan cannot operate comfortably where there is sound doctrine. [4:18] So, where there is excitement, Satan cannot still operate. Yeah. Some of those cults, Christian cults, were started with excitement. [4:31] And then even somebody like great man of God like William Branham. William Branham started well, anointed miracles. God was using him. [4:44] And that God was anointed. Then he started beginning to feel like it was at a certain level. And he started teaching and believing that God has been telling him things no one has said. [4:56] Yeah. Anytime you believe, you know things that nobody knows. And you are the only one God has told you. It's the same time who has been speaking to you. Didn't the Bible say there's nothing new under the sun? [5:10] And you have new revelation. There's anyone who has new revelation is new from the devil. Yeah. [5:22] Nothing new. Most of the powerful things anyone can teach has already been taught by some people. And revelation of God is not only restricted to a particular person or a particular people. [5:39] So, any group of people who claim they are the only ones who have it, that's cult. The cult. Cult, like Jehovah's Witnesses, believe that what they know, nobody else knows it. [5:53] Yeah. What they know, what they have, nobody else. Like, Latter-day Saints, Mormons. They have, then, so that's how they, then they come out with their own Bible. But nobody knows it. [6:06] Some of those Black Panther people who have been catching, meeting, saying that you don't know. You don't know. The White Mines has hidden a lot of things. Your greatest safety in your journey of, in Christianity, is not your miracles. [6:19] It's not your testimonies. It's some of the things I'm telling you. When you believe that God has spoken something, nobody knows. Nobody knows. This one, oh, oh. [6:31] Emotions is not an endorsement to authenticity. Father, if you, what you, please put your feelings aside. Put your feelings aside and let us challenge your reasoning. [6:46] Don't build the authenticity of your spiritual insights based on how you felt about, felt about, something. [6:57] But sometimes, in your pursuit of God, with genuineness and hunger, you can meet things in the Spirit and Satan can get involved. [7:09] There are people who have been very genuine, fasting for 100 days, and they came back with the spiritual self, but Satan has actually already gained an upper hand. Because of the lack of understanding and the soundness of theology. [7:24] It's very important. So, never take what I'm saying for granted because God has called us to lead a revival, and I have the responsibility. Even the Welsh revival, which was one of the strongest revival, it birthed so much things. [7:40] The Welsh revival was short-lived because of doctrinal issues. It was about only two years or six years, I've forgotten. The Welsh revival was very short because of doctrine. [7:54] Evan Schwab said, you know what? He's not doing church anymore. He's not doing that thing. He wants to be by himself. He doesn't know why he's alive. Yeah. He doesn't know why he's alive. [8:04] So, is she the mind? The mind plays a major role in the usefulness of any human being. Both spiritually and physically and politically and socially. [8:18] And in the West is major battles of the minds. Philosophies is the same thing that happens in the days of the early church. [8:33] Philosophies are always one of the biggest threats to the church. When I say philosophy, a certain way of thinking. A certain way of thinking. [8:46] Which might not be compatible with scripture. But you can be so convinced. Because you have seen a line in scripture. And God opened your eyes. As you read the Bible. It's like those letters jumped up. [8:59] And they were painted in red. And you could just see fire. And you knew that God was talking to you. Because there are so many. Sometimes people, when people are starting to have mental health challenges. [9:10] You will see. They will see the cloud forming a head which is laughing. It is irrelevant. And it is very dangerous. To make it a standard. [9:22] If it is God. If it is God. If it is God. As soon as I get there. Let somebody meet me. You know, that is baby talk. Because it is the spirit of God himself. [9:35] Best witness. With our spirit. So, God speaking to us. Comes from our spirit. So, it is important to understand some things. Because many of you. The way you are passionate. [9:46] If I don't teach properly. Some of you will believe. Begin to believe. God is telling you things. That he actually is not. Satan is talking. But you think he is God. And Satan presents himself. As an angel. [9:58] An angel. Not as light. As an angel of light. So, Satan himself has a way of presenting. Coming across. For you to be impressed. [10:09] So, one of the reasons why. When you are given the reasons for this being the word of God. One of the reasons is the transformative power. [10:23] It transforms lives. I don't know if you agree with me. That your life has been transformed. Yeah. This thing can change your life. In the same way. Anybody who deals with this thing. [10:35] And if the Holy Spirit is upon them. It must be evidenced. By change of lives. Change of stories. And change of situations. That is a sign that God is actually working. [10:49] That people's lives have changed. Not just because they've changed. Behaved well. But also conditions begin to change. Jesus spoke. Jesus spoke. To the storm. [11:00] And said. Peace be still. And Bible said. There was a great calm. When the Holy Spirit is working. There are manifestations. Listen. Listen. Listen. [11:29] a negative miracle but it was a miracle because it couldn't happen that was a miracle but it was a negative miracle jesus did he spoke to an inanimate object and he responded in the same way when god is at work the situations respond god promise you how to hear the voice of god that's very important the more people want to be spiritual the more they want to hear god's voice and the more you want to hear god's voice the more satan is who gets to speak he will disguise himself to send you messages and you have to do it so that you think is the voice of god one of the things i said about god is that in all major periods of dealing with people he started by dealing with people individually like abraham isaac jacob moses enoch and the early fathers the fathers spoke to them personally individually dealt with them individually then he came to the season when he was dealing with the the the jews so it's not just the fathers now after that excuse me he started dealing with the jews then after the jews we have him the church age where he's dealing with everybody speaks to all of us you don't have to be a jew in order to hear from god that's so good news it's in order to interact with god but one of the major things we have discovered you discover in scripture in all these dispensations he is one thing that is constant is he speaks god speaks and i show you the scripture that shows that in deuteronomy chapter 28 verse 1 and verse 15 that shows that if you hack in his voice if you hear his voice these blessings will come upon you so even the blessing that will come on you is at the mercy of his voice you are hearing and and obeying so so if you hear and obey if you obey his voice you have to hear before you can obey he said these blessings shall come upon you and then in the verse 15 he says that but it shall come to pass if you will not hack him if you will not listen unto my voice the voice of the lord and to observe to do all thy commands that all these cases so the curse that a person operates in or blessing is really at the mercy of the voice of god he's hearing and obeying the question that the전omy전 [14:19] Jesus said, I know my sheep and my sheep know my voice. John chapter 10 verse 27. John chapter 10 verse 3, it says that to him the portal opens, that's the good shepherd, and the sheep hear his voice. [14:39] One of the primary characteristics of Christian, every Christian, if you're a Christian, is the ability to hear God's voice. Because he said the sheep hear his voice. [14:54] Did you understand what I'm saying? So if you're a Christian, you hear, now, some people think God's voice will come audibly by a thunder. Oi, oi, oi. Those things is when you watch movies and they are playing God, that's the best way they can do it. [15:16] So, but you hear God's voice. One of the signs of a believer, a Christian, is that you have access to his voice. [15:30] The voice of God. Three things I want to mention about the voice of God, or hearing from God, is that, number one, when God speaks, or the voice of God, number one, it is personal. [15:48] So I can be speaking to everybody, but people hear him personally. Did you understand what I'm saying? The voice of God is not, oh, okay, this person heard this, then it's for me. [15:59] No. When God is speaking to you, it is personal. Ananias, Ananias. Personal. So Ananias got up and went looking for brother Saul. [16:13] Because God spoke to him. By faith, Hebrews chapter 11, verse 8. Abraham obeyed when he was told to go by faith. Abraham, when he was called to go out. [16:25] He went not knowing where he was going. Why did he go out? Because he has heard from God. In Genesis, actually, verse 17 as well, Abraham offered his only son, Isaac. [16:38] Why would you offer your son Isaac? By faith. Verse 18. By faith in whom they said, in your seat shall, in Isaac shall thy seat be called. [16:50] And then verse 19. He did that, and he received him in a figurative manner. You know, as the resurrection. But why would you go and want to sacrifice your son? [17:00] Because Genesis 22, God came to Abraham and he says that, give me your son, Isaac, your only son. So Abraham got up to do that because he's heard the voice of God. [17:13] Noah took the same way. Noah built an ark by faith. Noah, when he was asked to be serving of Hebrews chapter 11. But Genesis chapter 6, Noah found favor and God told Noah, build an ark for it to rain. [17:26] When it had never rained on the earth. At that time, rain had never fallen. So, and it took 120 years to build. [17:37] 120 years building an ark. People were laughing at him. But he had heard God. That's a very long time. Very, very long time. [17:48] He was building an ark. And people were mocking him. But he had heard from God. When you hear from God, it's personal. Number two, when you hear from God, when God's voice comes and when God speaks, it's not restricted by circumstances. [18:07] Or it's very dynamic. He can speak to you in the church. He can speak to you in the toilet. He can speak to you in the bedroom. He can speak to you in the car. He can speak to you on the plane. [18:18] He can speak anytime, anywhere. So it's only not tied to a particular place alone. The voice of God. He can speak in the morning. [18:29] He can speak at midnight. He can speak in the afternoon. He can speak to you even in a party. He can speak to you and tell you, don't come here again. So God's, the voice of God, when he speaks, it's very dynamic. [18:45] He can speak to you anyway. And then number three, the voice of God is not in the past. And the voice of God, the voice of God is not in the future. [18:59] It's always in the present when God speaks. That's why he said, Hebrews chapter 3, today when you hear his voice, don't harden your heart. Don't harden your heart. He's not talking about tomorrow. [19:11] Today. Because God, when he's speaking, he's speaking to you now. Isn't it not interesting that scripture says, Hebrews chapter 11, that now faith is. [19:21] Now faith is. Praise the Lord. So, those of you who heard from God last week and you think it's enough. [19:36] Obey it, but when he's speaking, his speaking is now. Bishop Obey it, but when he says, there's a song. [19:48] He says that there's a song, he normally, that's the first time I heard that song from Bishop Obey it. God has something to say. God has something to say. [19:59] God has something to say. Pay full attention God has something to say God has something to say God has something to say I will listen Pay full attention God has something to say God has something to say God has something to say I will listen Pay full attention God has something to say. [20:33] For the last time. God has something to say. God has something to say. I will listen, pay full attention. [20:46] God has something to say. God always has something to say and it's always important to come to God and ask the Lord, speak to me. [20:58] He is a speaking God. God who in sun drip times spoke to our fathers in various ways by the prophets. [21:14] Has in these last days spoken by his son. God is a speaking God. Amen. So if you're going to have a relationship with God, you must always have a listening ear. [21:32] In Psalm, no, Isaiah chapter 50, verse 3, 3, 4, 5. It said, I clothed the heavens with blackness and made sackcloth. [21:46] They are covering. Let's go. Verse 4. The Lord has given me the tongue of the learned that I should know how to speak a word in season to him that is weary. He wakeneth morning by morning. [22:00] He wakeneth my ears to hear as the learned. If you want to be a great man of God and a great Christian who God wants for God to use you, you must always pray and desire God, teach me and help me to hear from you. [22:20] Help me to hear from you. One of the things that sometimes bothers me is people who think sometimes, people who think they listen, they hear from God. How do you know you are not actually hearing from God? [22:33] When you are proud. When whatever you have heard is not making you so proud, you disdain and disregard certain systems God has put in place. [22:45] It's not God you heard from. So it says that he wakeneth my ear morning by morning. He wakeneth my ear to hear as the learned. [22:58] Look at the next verse. The Lord has opened my ear and was not rebellious, neither turned our way back. May God open our ears. [23:11] The next verse. It says that I gave my, this is Jesus speaking, just for information. It's a messianic psalm, but it's applicable to us. [23:23] But this is Jesus speaking. I gave my back to the smithers and my cheek to them that plucked off the hair. I hid not my face from shame and spitting. [23:35] For the Lord will help me. Therefore shall I not be confounded. Therefore have I set my face like a flint and I know that I shall not be. [23:47] Where is it starting from? Because God has waken my ear to hear. Jesus was able to go through all he went through because his ears were waken by God to hear. [24:01] May God awaken our ears to hear. That's why in Revelations 2-7, he that has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. [24:15] So, hearing from God, what it also does. When you hear from God, the result of hearing from God, one of the things that happen, effects of hearing the voice of God, is faith builds in your heart. [24:32] Faith. How does faith come? Not by reading. Some of you think faith comes by reading your Bible. We have what is called the Logos and the Rema. [24:44] The Logos, not Lagos. The Logos. Logos is the eternal word. It doesn't change. It was in the past. [24:55] It is now. And it's the same forever. It's the Logos. The Logos. The written word of God. The Logos. But we have the spoken word of God, which is called the Rema, which is the now word of God. [25:12] The Rema word of God is always in the now. What does that mean? So, the Rema is what God is telling you now. That's how you got born again. You heard the Rema word. [25:25] You heard the, it was so applicable to your life. You felt like, wow, God is talking to me. Christian life that is built solely, primarily, and entirely on experience is not solid. [25:39] It's not solid. It's not solid. It's for babies. When Jesus, when Joseph the Baptist was in prison, he asked, go and ask Jesus, is he the one to come? [25:49] He said, tell him how you feel. He said, go and tell him the blind see. The deaf, it says that the blind receive their sights, and the lame walk, lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear. [26:07] The dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them. Now, this is what Isaiah was saying. So, he said, my child, man, you just give him the scripture. [26:18] Go and tell him the scripture has been fulfilled. And he will understand it. In spite of how he was feeling at that time. Because he was in prison. His head was about to be chopped off. [26:29] Because a young girl has danced. Small girl. So, some of you have been watching, dancing online. Somebody's head is on the line. [26:45] You are watching people twerking for you. So, Jesus said, he's a mature man. [26:57] Let the word speak to him. Your spiritual maturity has everything to do with how sound word dwells in you. And all your feelings are subject to what the word says. [27:13] People leave churches because they are upset. They are not mature. They are offended. You are not mature. He said, not being, as children, being touched to and through. [27:25] Ephesians chapter 4, verse 15 and 16. Children, sign of a child is, today you are happy, tomorrow you are down. A child can be crying blood right now. And see chocolate and start laughing the next moment. [27:42] This has been on my heart. Because we are in church praying. How do I do to hear from God? So, how to hear from God? Number one, create an atmosphere. [27:54] Someone say an atmosphere. Or better still, a godly atmosphere. Create a godly atmosphere. What happens around you determines what builds up in you. [28:07] What is happening around you determines what builds up in you. Or the atmosphere you find yourself in, or you are exposed to determines what builds up in you. [28:23] Some of you, since you came into this atmosphere, haven't you noticed it's doing something good for you? Yes. It's very important to create a godly atmosphere. [28:34] The atmosphere you expose yourself to determines what grows in you. Because today is Friday. Because today is Friday. I'm telling you, your cousin is going for a party on a work due. [28:47] You are in church. Afterwards, you will see the difference in your spiritual state. Because the environment you find yourself in determines what grows in you. [28:57] If you want to hear from God, be intentional in creating a godly atmosphere. You have to create a godly atmosphere. [29:09] It must be. So, how do you create a godly atmosphere? Number one, it must be intentional. Or A, it must be intentional. B, there must be a word flow. W-O-R-D. Word. [29:20] The word of God. Find something to keep the word of God flowing. Because God's voice is clearer where the word of God is. Yeah. Word flow. [29:32] Word flow. Anyone who is given to hearing God's word preach. Or hearing God's word play. Or any means to bring in the word of God. Is more likely to encounter the voice of God. [29:46] This is how you build a godly atmosphere. Be intentional. Number two, that you need a word flow. Number three, exposure. Expose yourself. Expose yourself to meetings like this. [30:01] Meetings like this. Situations like this. Expose yourself to the right atmosphere. It actually builds a personal atmosphere. You can be in a crowd, but operating in a personal atmosphere. [30:18] Atmosphere. It conditions your internal system. Because the spirit of God speaks from our inside. Not from the outside. So you have to create an atmosphere that builds and prepares something on your inside. [30:34] That makes it conducive for him to. For God, the spirit of God bears witness with our spirits. So the deliberations and the communication happens from within. [30:47] As I speak, the spirit of God will be communicating into your inner man. So your inner man, everybody has an inner man and an outer man. [30:59] And God speaks to your inner man. So exposure and then association. This is how to create a godly atmosphere. [31:11] Watch your association. If all your friends are divorcing, you are next in line. If all your friends are in ministry, you will end up being in ministry. [31:25] That's why don't develop an appetite for a man, if you're a woman. A man whose aspirations are not in line with your dreams. [31:37] So long as God's things are concerned. In the same way, man, brother, don't develop an interest in a woman. You want to marry. Whose aspirations are different from your aspirations. [31:51] You'll pay a heavy price for it. You'll pay a heavy price for it. Your association. Somebody say association. Let me add one more because then. [32:03] Music. Music. Music. Yeah. You need sometimes certain music. You must just play some music. Yeah. [32:14] You must just play some music. I have never in my life since I became born again, almost three and a half decades now, gone to me, myself, play Bob Marley. [32:31] You understand what I'm saying? Or play music. That is not church music. That's not. No, no. Never once. That me, myself, okay, I'm playing this. This is the music I want to. [32:42] Yeah. For relaxation. Yeah. This time. Let alone to be dancing to it. Small girl, you don't know that thing. You are playing it with that thing. [32:57] Is it a sin? No, it's not a sin. But it's a weight. It's not a sin. But it's a weight. It's a sin. It will stifle your ability to create an atmosphere to hear from God. [33:10] Hear from God. The voice of God is your greatest asset in life. It will determine what kind of blessing you're operating. Yeah. [33:21] The greatest asset in life is access to his voice. Oh, oh. Greatest asset in life. Let alone those of you who want to be ministers of the gospel or ministers' wives or ministers' husbands. [33:37] You want to be a minister's wife, but your ears are blocked and choked. You can't hear from God. You will kill a minister hands down. Many ministers' ministries have been capped because of the kind of wife they have or the kind of husband they have. [33:55] Job's wife was one of them. But Job overcame. Solomon surrounded himself with a lot of foolish women. [34:06] Yeah. And he was supposed to be the wisest man. But it didn't take him anywhere. Because of affiliation. [34:17] Because of the daughters of Egypt. He started worshipping false gods. Solomon. Even Solomon the wise says couldn't escape. You. [34:29] Yeah. Because he's so romantic. The modern day women. When they hear that word romance. It's romantic. [34:39] It's like they've sedated them. That's why the guys do. Most of what they are doing. Their focus is to learn how to be romantic. That's the best thing you know about relationship. [34:52] How to be romantic. But you don't even know how to be a man. Is that one learning something? How do you hear the voice of God? Separate yourself for God's word. [35:04] What does that mean? There must be seasons in your life. And times in your week. In your day. Where it's just you and reading your Bible. And spending time. [35:15] You know. Nowadays. Modern day believers don't have time. To spend with the Bible. A lot of people. I know the way you are quiet. I know you are just thinking about yourself. Yeah. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly. [35:29] It makes it so easy to hear from God. Colossians chapter 3 verse 16. Let the word of God. Christ. Dwell in you richly. You want to hear God's voice. [35:41] Expose yourself to the word of God. Do you know when you are giving somebody directions. To your house. Or to where they sell the meat. Or where they sell the suya. [35:52] Something like that. And they are not sure. They get there. And they said. You ask them. Where? You say. I'm somewhere. I don't know. You say. What do you see? And then they say. Okay. [36:02] I see a shop. It's red. The signage is red. It says that chicken fillet. Say yes. Behind that shop. Then. You see. You can guide them. [36:13] Because of what they are seeing. They are familiar with something. So that can help. Because they know the terrain. It's easy for you to use that to guide them. When the word of God is inside you. [36:26] It makes it so easy. For God to speak to you. For God to guide you. For God to direct you. So. How do you hear the voice of God? Create an atmosphere. Number two. Expose yourself. [36:38] Or. Separate yourself to the word. Doesn't mean you don't do anything. It's all the Bible. It's all you are reading. No. You can do everything. But you have Bible moments. Bible moments. [36:48] Just you. And God's word. Stayed in. That's why in this church. Every day. We are reading something. Today is Daniel 11. Every day. We are reading something. It will just. [36:59] Make it easy for God to speak to you. How many of you are ready to hear from God? We want to pray a prayer. What's the prayer topic? God. [37:10] Speak to me. No. We want to use Isaiah chapter 50 verse 6. Verse 5 or 6. It says that. He awakens my ear. To hear. [37:21] 6. He awakens my ear. After. Lord. Lord. Open my ears to hear from you. Help me to hear. Speak to me. Is that a good prayer to pray? Please. [37:31] Because you might be going through something. And you need a miracle. You need the hand of God. All you need is when God speaks. You will know what to do. And sometimes one step. One step of obedience can change your entire life. [37:43] Your marriage. You don't have a problem. You don't have a. Your career. Your business. Your studies. Your family. Listen. You don't have a. Even to the name of your child. You don't have a problem. [37:53] Just hear from God. And things will be clear. Lift up your hands. Ask God. God. Open my. Awaken my ears. And speak to me. I'm willing to obey when you speak. [38:04] Speak to me. Speak to me Lord. Speak to me. Speak to me Lord. We need to hear your voice. [38:18] And give us grace to obey when we hear your voice. Speak to us oh Lord.
