[0:00] Thank you for tuning into this message by David Entry. Every true revival is a product of the strong preaching of God's Word. May you receive a word from this message that will spark a revival in you. [0:14] Acts chapter 6 from verse 1 to 7. And in those days, when the number of the disciples was multiplied, there arose a memory of the Grecians against the Hebrews, because their widows were neglected in the daily ministration. [0:37] Then the twelve called the multitudes of the disciples unto them and said, It is not reason that we should leave the Word of God and serve tables. Wherefore, brethren, look ye out among you seven men of honest report, full of the Holy Ghost and wisdom. [0:55] Whom we may appoint over this business, but we will give ourselves continually to prayer and to the ministry of the Word. And the same pleased the whole multitude, and they chose Stephen, a man full of faith, and the Holy Ghost, and Philip, and Prochorus, and Nicanor, and Timon, and Paminas, and Nicholas, a proselyte of Antioch, whom they said before the apostles, and when they had prayed, they laid their hands on them, and the Word of God increased, and the number of the disciples multiplied in Jerusalem greatly, and a great company of the priests were obedient to the faith. [1:40] Here is the reading of God's Holy Word. Please, let's pray. Father, we thank you so much for giving us the privilege to gather here around your Word. As your Word is taught, we pray that let grace be revealed. [1:53] Let grace be caught. Let Christ be revealed. Give us illumination in your Word. Enlighten the eyes of our understanding. We shall behold wondrous things in your Word. [2:06] Holy Spirit, we pray that teach us Christ. As your Word is taught, impact yourself into us. Let healings take place. Let miracles happen. [2:18] Back the preaching of your Word with signs and wonders for you. We thank you. We give you praise in Jesus' name. Amen. Hallelujah. [2:29] Please be seated. The book of Acts has been amazing. We saw the birth of the church in the book of Acts. [2:45] And as soon as the church was born in Acts chapter 2, we saw that when the Holy Ghost came, the people gathered and Peter spoke. [2:56] And when Peter spoke, 3,000, one day, the first time, the birth of the church, 3,000 souls were added to the church. 3,000. Let's all say 3,000. 3,000. [3:07] And the 3,000 who were added to the church were not all that was added to the church by chapter 4. Because the end of chapter 2 tells us that, verse 47, that God was adding, praising God and having faith with the people. [3:23] And the Lord added. Did you see that word, the Lord? You remember Acts chapter 5, verse 31. Him God has exalted to be Lord, Prince, because it's the same Lord, and Savior. [3:35] Now, this Lord, as I explained, the prince, he can save anybody he wants to save anywhere. He's really in charge when it comes to salvation. All right. Now, so Bible says that in the chapter 2, the Lord added, verse 47, to the church daily such as should be saved. [3:52] This is besides the 3,120. There were 120 in the upper room when the Holy Ghost came. And after that, about 3,000 souls were added. [4:02] And that wasn't all. God kept adding. Now, it was a daily addition. Daily addition. Daily addition. Daily. So God added to the church. [4:13] And then, chapter 4, verse 2, about 5,000, verse 4, sorry, habits, those who are the word belief, and the number of men who were men was about, this man there is not like man shall eat by bread alone. [4:26] It's not, it's gender sensitive. So the Greek word talking about male. Men as in male, not female. [4:37] But other translations, in other places, where you see like man must not eat by bread alone, it's not talking about male. It's talking about humanity. This, when it says that men were, about 5,000 men were added, it's actually referring to male, minus the women. [4:53] So obviously, the women were also added, but here it said male were added. Now, what you do, the thinking through, usually the women are always more than the men, and the children are more than the women. [5:08] So scholars believe this was about, in all about 20,000. Scholars believe this is about 20,000 were added, not to talk of the first 3,000, now about 20,000, and then the daily additions. [5:22] So this was a serious thing that was happening. And it was a strong move of God, and Satan decided to fight it. So in Acts chapter 4, the first persecution started. [5:35] They arrested them and tried to fight it. But Bible says that, when they put them in prison, as I explained last Sunday, an angel brought them out of prison, and they couldn't threaten them. [5:47] They couldn't stop it. So they threatened them. They wanted to kill them, but we had Gamaliel telling them, don't kill them, because if it's of God, you'll be fighting against God. You can't stop it. So they decided to whip them, scorch them, in Acts chapter 5. [6:00] Scorch them from verse 38, 39. They scorched them, threatened them not to preach again in the name. The problem was the name. And Bible says in the verse 42, 41 and 42, Acts chapter 5, they went, and the next verse, verse 42, the Bible says that, then daily in the temple and in every house, they did not cease to teach and to preach Jesus Christ. [6:22] So that means that the growth will keep happening. And so now it was no more God added to the church. It wasn't an addition. It was multiplication. In chapter 6, verse 1, look at chapter 6, verse 1. [6:34] It says that, in those days, when the number of disciples was what? I can hear, was what? So this is not just an addition. Now, so God adds to the church, as I told you a while ago, God adds to the church. [6:49] He does addition to the church. He does also in chapter 5, we saw how he subtracted some people from the church. So God does addition. He does subtraction. He does multiplication. [7:00] But what he doesn't do is division. God adds to the church. He subtracts from the church. He multiplies the church, but never divides the church. And so you see that in Acts chapter 6, now the church was multiplying. [7:13] Now, let me take you back a little bit to understand and appreciate what was happening. When the church was born, the first thing Satan tried to do was to overthrow the church in Acts chapter 5. [7:26] He tried to overthrow the church, but there was nothing he could do to stop them from preaching. He whipped them, threatened them, arrested them, and the angels said, go and stand in the temple and preach. [7:38] They were arrested again, and after they were beaten, they were rather were doing praise, they worship, rejoicing, for being beaten. And Acts chapter 5, verse 40. And then Bible says that the next time, after they were beaten, they went into, now they added house to house, not only the temple. [7:52] They added, so the devil realized that I can overthrow the church. So he decided to change strategy. If I can overthrow the church by fighting it, now let me undermine it by joining it. [8:05] So Satan decided to join the church, to work from inside, because working from outside would not work, because fighting from outside is actually making them grow. [8:19] So now let's go inside. And so he went inside first with hypocrisy, to defile our ranks, to defile our sanity and our purity. He went in with hypocrisy, and God said, I will have to do my own work. [8:33] God, through supernatural means, eradicated them. So first of all, he went inside. When he went inside, he attempted to defile it. Defile the church with hypocrisy, but God said, I'm going to take care of it. [8:46] So supernaturally, God entered the church and eliminated the guys who were being used by the enemy to fight against God in the church. But Peter said, you have sinned against God. [8:58] So when he tried to fight from within the church, he came in to fight or sinned against God from in the church. Can you imagine? Within the church. And that wasn't successful. God paid the church himself. [9:10] So he said, okay, now let's use a different strategy. So chapter six, verse one, he has to use a different strategy to fight against the church. The church was multiplied by another problem was growing inside the church. [9:24] He says that, and in those days, when the number of the disciples was multiplied, there arose membering of the Christians against the Hebrews because their widows were neglected in their daily administration. [9:43] Oh, yes. Let's look at Newkey James. Now in those days, when the number of the disciples was multiplied, there was a complaint against the Hebrews by the Hellenists. [9:55] Take note of that. Hellenists, because their widows were neglected in the daily distribution. English Standard Version. Now in those days, when the disciples were increasing in number, a complaint by the Hellenists arose against the Hebrews because their widows were being neglected in the daily distribution. [10:19] Now daily distribution, that's what other translation put it daily, if I think New Living Translation, daily distribution, of food is a daily distribution. [10:32] So he said, let's, there was a problem based on the daily distribution of food. Now, this was not a normal problem. Satan was trying to use a very sensual aspect of human life to fight the church, to attack the, and I want to show you today what the main problem was. [10:52] The main problem was not food. The main problem was Satan's agenda. To target what? And I will show you where the target was aimed at. [11:02] The aim, the aim was not people's belly. That was, Satan's aim was not your belly. He can go through your belly, but that wasn't the aim. [11:15] He can go through your feelings, but that's not your, that's not the aim. Your feelings is not Satan's target. We will find out what the target was. You want to know what the target was? [11:27] So, now, before I go further, I want you to understand there have been some words that have been used which is better, it's good to understand, all right? In the King James, as I read, he used the word, the scripture used the word, Grecians against Hebrews. [11:42] What's the meaning of that? Now, New King James used the word Hellenists. Hellenists. It's not, Hellenists is not someone whose mother is called Helen. It's, so we have to find out when you read the New Testament, you come across some words, for instance, this particular word, the Hellenists. [12:02] Who were the Hellenists? Hellenists is simply another word for Greek. Greek. In those days, Alexander the Great conquered the then known world and to make his reign effective, he enforced the Greek language everywhere. [12:18] so everyone had to speak Greek. Greek became the language or transaction or many places the lingua franca. So, Greek speaking became common. [12:29] Jews were spreading everywhere and in those days, Jews who were never born in Palestine in those days, they were never born in Israel. [12:40] They were born outside Israel in, they are called the dispersion or the diaspora. they were born in different places and their identity was where they were born even though they were Jews. [12:53] So, they are Jews but they are Greek Jews, Hellenist Jews. So, but every year they would come to Jerusalem for the Passover and, you know, for the ceremonies. [13:05] So, they were Hellenist. They were really, their dressing, their assent, their behavior, their diet was very Grecian. Their language, their Grecian. Some of them couldn't even speak Hebrew even though they were Jews. [13:18] They couldn't speak Aramaic. They couldn't speak Hebrew. They only could speak Greek and so, there's something called the Septuagint which is the Torah, the books of Moses which are the Old Testament, what we call the Old Testament, the Greek version of it. [13:34] The original Hebrew have it. That's where the Hebrew scriptures, Jesus Christ, the Bible Jesus Christ read was the Hebrew scriptures, the Torah. The Torah had to be translated into Greek for the Grecians. [13:47] It is called Septuagint. So, they had their special version even of the Torah because some of them couldn't speak Hebrew. But when they come to Jerusalem for festivities or to join for the feasts, they had to be able to understand what was going on. [14:05] So, there was in fact to the extent that in the synagogues, there were synagogues that were dedicated to the Greeks. So, I think in the chapter 6 verse 9 or so, those who rose up against Stephen, Bible talks about a setting of the synagogues which is called synagogue of the Libertines, Cyrenians, Alexandrians, and of them of Cilicia and Asia. [14:28] They were, even in Jerusalem, there were synagogues that were dedicated to these ethnic groups. So, if you speak, if you are Cyrenian, you likely go to the Cyrenian synagogue. [14:40] synagogue. And then, on the day of Pentacles, all these kind of people became born again. So, in the church, there were Grecian Jews and there were Hebrew Jews. [14:51] The Hebrew Jews were those who were born and bred in Jerusalem. Or, the Jews would call them the Israeli Jews. So, there were the Israeli Jews and those of the diaspora. [15:03] So, Peter wrote to people in their dispersion. 1 Peter chapter 1, verse 1 and 2, somewhere they spoke about those in their dispersion, those who have dispersed. There are Jews who have dispersed in different. [15:14] Peter, apostle, he said to their strangers scattered throughout Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, Bethania, and the list goes on. That is why on the day of Pentacles, in Acts chapter 2, verse 9 and 10, he spoke about people who had come from and Parthians and Midas and Elamites and dwellers of Mesopotamia in Judea and Cappadocia, Pontus, Asia, Bethan, Phrygia, Panthilia, Egypt, in the parts of Libya, about Cyrene, strangers of Rome, Jews, and proselytes. [15:46] These have all gathered in Jerusalem and many of them became born again and they became part of the church. And so, that means that there was some kind of racial or language barrier in the church. [16:02] Some people won't be able to speak this language. And then, as happens commonly, it is easy for you to gravitate towards people you identify with. Even if you want to marry, you are likely to go to people who are like you. [16:21] Praise the Lord. So, that was happening in the church which is human. Now, the other thing I want you to understand is that in the synagogue, the Jews had three groupings of people. [16:34] They had the Jews and then they had the proselytes and then they had the God-fearers. So, the Jews were the Jews. [16:45] Whether those Grecian Jews or Hebraic Jews, they were Jews. So, in the synagogue, those people had referential treatment. Then you have the proselytes. [16:55] Who is a proselyte? A proselyte is someone who was not born a Jew. His parents are not Jew but has decided to convert to practice Judaism. And so, you go through baptism and in some cases circumcision. [17:08] That's why Paul had to circumcise Timothy because Timothy was not Jewish. His mother was Jewish but his father was Greek in Acts chapter 16 from verse 1 and 2. So, he had to circumcise him before he could travel with him because they would be going to synagogues and you don't want an uncircumcised Philistine to be coming to the synagogue to create problems. [17:29] So, not a Philistine, Greek. Okay. That's why Paul had to circumcise. So, to have the authorization to operate freely in the synagogue, you must almost be like a Jew which is the circumcised ones or those who have converted and they are called proselytes. [17:46] So, in Acts chapter 6 verse 6, you see one of those who had chosen was Nicholas who was Nicholas, a proselyte from where? Antioch. Can you imagine? [17:56] So, that's why he wasn't Jewish at all but he was proselytes and he was also in the church from Antioch. And in other places you see the mentioning in Acts chapter 2 verse 10, you see the mentioning of proselytes clearly represented in Acts 2.10 and Acts 13.43. [18:12] So, it's not something new. Now, watch this. So, we have these groupings, the Jews, the proselytes and the God-fearers, people who fear God. They are not Jews but they don't want to go too deep. [18:25] They don't want to go too deep into this thing. They want to live a soft life. They like the revival in charis. They like the preaching and everything but going to this fasting and this mission no, no, please. [18:39] I just want to come to church and I'll be close and I'll go home. So, we have the God-fearers. Now, so, bearing that in mind, these people have become born again Christians and the first ever time in the book of Acts outside of the Gospels when the word disciple was used is in Acts 6.6. [18:59] Verse 1. It says that in those days when the number, not apostles, the number of disciples, everybody say disciples. disciples. Now, disciples could note people who are learners. [19:10] A disciple, someone who is learning, a learner. So, he says that you have not so learned of Christ. So, we learn of Christ. They are learners. They are being mentored in the path of Christ. [19:24] So, these are genuine people. In a modern-day church, disciples are less. There might be converts, but not disciples. And also, the worst bit is there are people who are not even born again, but are active in churches. [19:40] Some have managed, depending on what church it is, some have managed to enter into leadership, some have become pastors, some have become apostles, some have become bishops, and some have become prophets. [19:51] But they are not born again. They are not born again. Actually, they don't have a working knowledge of what Christianity is about. They don't know. They don't know. They've been given a version of Christianity at all, but it's just a God dream. [20:03] You just go, and then if you can sing, people will come, and people will come and just say something, and say Bible said, and that's it. But a disciple is different. A disciple is someone who is being schooled. [20:15] Remember today's reading, Acts chapter 9. God had to go to a disciple. And before then, Paul was breathing threats to the disciples of Jesus. And then God, Bible says that, so he was slaughtering the disciples of the Lord. [20:28] And God had to go to Ananias after Saul met Jesus. And Bible says that there was a disciple named Ananias, in the verse 10. A disciple. And he said, go to him, because he's praying. [20:40] And then when we went to Paul, he prayed for him, and Paul now joined himself to the disciples. So you see, discipleship, church is about discipleship. The world, sometimes the world will call it control. [20:52] The kind of people will call it control, and the evil-hearted people who are familiar with church but don't understand what church is, they will say it's a cult. Because when you look at the mode of discipleship, it looks like, it looks like, in certain aspects, because of the instructions you are supposed to follow. [21:09] A disciple is someone who follows instructions. Who is a learner, who follows instructions. And so, what people don't like is free market. I come and I do my own thing. I come with my girlfriend, she said, we just finished having sex from room, we come into church, we are in church, and every time you are singing, you kiss, and no one should be able to say anything. [21:30] I can come and dress, wear anything I want, and no one should be able to say anything. After all, I come and I'm giving offering. I do what I want to do. If Asher says, sit here, no, I don't want to sit there, because the church has become like an event center. [21:43] You come and just have fun and go home. You are not a disciple. You are not a disciple. That is why you can't join any small group. Disciples, discipleship is effective in small groups. [21:56] Join a small group. Some people cannot even go to home cell meetings. You don't want it. You are so big, in courage, we call it K group. You are so big, you can't go to home cell meetings. [22:07] You are not a disciple. You are not a disciple. You are doing your own thing. Am I preaching at all? It's going to get a little bit hot. Where are you? [22:19] Yes. it's easy for us to sort it. [22:52] Because disciples' focus is more spirituality. The focus of every sound disciple is spirituality, not just organization. So, you can tell a problem was brewing. [23:05] How did it happen? Now, the church have gathered. They've come together. The church was multiplying. Where from these widows? Now, I want to explain in two ways. [23:18] Bible says that the widows were being neglected. Okay? There was a neglect over there. The widows were being neglected. Widows. Widows, you know, Acts, 1 Timothy 5, verse 3, verse 5, verse 9, verse 16, makes mention of widows. [23:36] So, it was the custom of the early church or, let me even move you out of the church. It was the custom of the society in that time to take care of widows because when somebody is a widow, in that culture, in those days, it was the men who provide for the family. [23:52] That's why a widow died in the days of Elisha and they were coming to take her sons away, their daughters. And Elisha, chapter, 2 Kings chapter 4, chapter 5, chapter 4, Elisha multiplied. [24:06] It says that bring, what do you have? Vessel. Because the widow, Jesus referred to that in the days of, in Luke chapter 4, from verse 25, he says that in the days of Elisha, there were, in the days of Elisha, heaven was shut up, six months, it was a widow God sent from Zarephah, God sent for Elijah to go and feed that widow. [24:28] And then in the days of Elisha, then the name man got healed. But we don't, why did the widow have to be fed? Because widows were a reflection of the less privileged in society. [24:42] Those who are more vulnerable in society, those who are poor in society. It reflected that. So sometimes widow is used to, as a proverbial term for those who are vulnerable, less privileged, and at a risk, a higher risk. [24:58] Right? Even though widow there also meant people whose husbands were dead and couldn't fend for themselves. Now watch this. Why do you distribute food in church? [25:10] If there was no distribution of food, this thing, the problem wouldn't have arisen. So why? Don't forget, in those days, people had traveled from different territories and have come to Jerusalem. [25:22] And they got born again and they didn't want to go back, they wanted to stay. So we have to provide accommodation for them. Some have lost their jobs. We have to provide, you know, food and resources for them. [25:33] Some also had lost their job, even though they were in Jerusalem, because they decided to be Christian and the cancel culture has canceled them. So they had lost their job. I'm telling you the real situation they were faced with. [25:46] And do you remember Acts chapter 4? People who had, were bringing it so that distribution was made across the board so there was none that lacked. Because they had, in fact, it actually appeared in Acts chapter 2, verse 46, I think so, verse 46, where Bible talks about daily one accord and breaking of their bread and they did it with gladness. [26:07] The next verse, I think it's the previous verse, where he spoke about the distribution was made, and they sold their possession of goods and parted them to all men as every man had need. [26:19] In Acts chapter 4, from verse 34, the same thing happened. And that's when Barnabas, remember Barnabas, he had the land, he sold the land and brought the proceeds. And they were using it to feed and take care of everyone who had the need. [26:31] And Ananias and Zafiria also found a fitting that this thing would make us look good. A hypocrite is trying to be something before men, which you are not before God. And so, they also tried to infiltrate because people were being catered for none. [26:48] With that understanding, their background, look at what is happening when the disciples were multiplying. Remember, every church growth comes with administrative challenges. No church growth above administrative systems being put in place. [27:02] So, anytime disciples multiply, if, let's say, for instance, the bigger the choir grows, the more systems we need in place to manage the growth. The bigger a church grows, the more systems we need. [27:16] And so, the church was growing and it grows. When it's growing, certain issues will also grow. Now, what are the issues that grew up here? Because there was provision for food and other things, the Grecians felt, or the Hellenists felt, whether it was a perceived situation or a real situation, Bible didn't tell us whether it was true. [27:38] But, they complained because they said they were being neglected in the daily distribution of food. so, let's say, the widows will go and sit down and then you'll see the Grecians in one area and the Hebrews in one area because they'll be talking their own language. [27:54] They'll be talking and then when they bring their hot food, they won't take it to the Grecians and it's becoming constant. You see, they take their hot food to the Hebrews after they finish and they pass it to the, so by the time they realize, even by the time they get there, it's cold and it's finished. [28:09] And it wasn't one day, two days, three days. This thing kept happening. We don't know, but, so the people felt, no, it looks like they are discriminating against us. Discrimination, they began to feel discriminated against in the church. [28:24] They felt, we don't know whether they were so, but it was a feeling or, either it was a feeling or it was actual, the Bible says that they felt neglected. They felt neglected and no one wants to feel neglected. [28:39] Watch this. So, the number of disciples was multiplied. there was a, there was a memory of the Grecians against the Hebrews because their widows were neglected in the daily ministration. [28:52] The problem was not the fruit. The problem was not the neglect. The neglect was no good. But that wasn't the main problem. The problem which I want to title my message today. [29:04] the problem was a whisper campaign. You see, they'll not bring it, they'll bring it, you see, I told you, they don't like us. [29:22] So, they were not saying it in the public. It wasn't an open thing everybody are talking about, but it was going on rumor, memories, complainings. [29:32] they don't like me. No one didn't like me. That was very divisive. So, Satan decided that if I can't fight them from outside, if I can't stop them from outside, let me join them and pull down the whole thing through dissension, division, and disharmony. [29:53] So, he entered to use whispering. He launched an internal campaign in the church. [30:06] Stop the whisper campaign in the church. It is very dangerous and divisive. Stop it. It destroys and divides and breaks down the church quickly and more severely than any other thing. [30:22] whisper, memory, memory, whispering, gogismus. That is the Greek word. Gogismus, gogismus, gogismus. [30:37] Satan also has gizmos he uses in the church. It is gogismus to sow dissension. How did you do it? [30:49] By gogismus. gogismus. A campaign. Whisper campaign. Some of you, only God knows the things you'll be speaking about the church behind closed doors. [31:01] Even today on your way to church with your husband in the car the things we're talking about. Yeah. last night on the phone about today's church service. [31:17] Whisper campaign. Satan is using you to undermine the unity of the church. You have become an agent of the devil inside. [31:28] When Satan fights from, when the devil fights from inside he's Satan. Anytime you hear the word Satan is the one who, when Satan, when the devil is fighting from inside so the sons of God got it. [31:43] Job chapter one verse six and Satan was there. No, not outside of inside Satan. Job said Satan. Satan came amongst them so he looked like them but he was operating from inside. [31:55] Why do you think Jesus didn't tell in Matthew chapter 16 verse 23 24? Why do you think Jesus didn't say get behind me devil? No, he didn't say that. He said get behind me Satan. [32:06] Satan always and Satan entered the heart of Judas. Satan operates when he operates from within is Satan. Bible says in Revelation chapter 12 Satan was accusing their brethren before God. [32:21] Satan operates from within and so inside it got gizmos got gizmos got gizmos brothers got gizmos sisters yes I know I'm looking at some faces who are very gizmos gizmos gizmos behavior gizmos behavior yes whisper campaign you know they didn't like many years ago some you know that's why when we are small I enforce a strict rule that you don't speak any language apart from English because Satan wanted to divide the church along racial lines that's what happened along cultural lines [33:25] Satan likes that as soon as we allow cultural differences to come into the church Satan will have a nice platform to pray from in America the church is suffering because of this same division in other nations like let's say China or Nigeria or Korea Korea yeah in Ghana because the church is largely ethnic but when you move into territories like UK London where it's very heavily cosmopolitan multinational multiracial multicultural when you come into a multicultural environment then Satan when the church begins to grow he will target to divide our ranks divide our church so this is in our church with through or along cultural lines along racial lines so to have a big church look at and even for the pastor to be from a certain ethnic group in [34:34] Philippians chapter 2 the Bible says that do all things without memory Philippians chapter 2 verse 14 I'm sorry Philippians chapter 2 verse 4 do all things without gizmos without gizmos and disputings stop the whisper campaign it will break the church down Satan can fight us from outside because ineffective but you always target to fight from inside which is most effective stop the whisper campaign whisper is have you heard what he said have you heard what he said the ones I don't understand is the ones who say don't tell anybody you are telling somebody and you are telling them and when [35:40] Satan really gets involved he will caveat it with nobody understands me you are the only one so I feel I can talk to you yeah is he the hellenist I feel I can talk to you they are recruiting you that's the way to recruit you onto the side of where Satan is working don't forget I said God always will take sides recruiting you by the time you realize you have become a loyalist ally to somebody with a vendetta in the church someone with bitterness in the church and they are loyal to them and anything somebody says about them you quickly they are targeting my friend we are close friends that's why they are leading you away from the purpose of God and you will pay heavily for it anytime there's a move of [36:43] God in a place jesla will try to move inside you to recruit his own who will be stripped of the benefits of what God is doing suddenly this hell thing that stopped has started coming again suddenly all this kind of your job is like on a roller coaster or in a hurricane your job God bless you and things were working suddenly where is this wind coming from maybe you have been absorbed into a whisper campaign oh yes am I preaching at all whisper campaign suddenly the grace working strongly that is benefiting destinies is not working for you and it's showing it's showing we are praying for you we are praying putting oil it's not working people are bringing their testimonies as for you you keep losing grounds negative testimonies keep increasing in your life at least even if nothing there should be some level of stability but you keep sinking and sinking you better find a way to confess and ease yourself from this thing oh yeah because he said if [38:06] Mordecai is of Jewish descent before whom you are falling you started falling then you can't stop falling yes because when God's hand is on something and you are on the wrong side of the thing your demise doesn't stop yes your demise doesn't stop I don't know who I'm prophesying to but some of you husbands have been recruited by your wife's campaign some of you wives have been recruited by your husband's some husbands are very toxic when it comes to church very toxic and very strong very controlling and manipulative yeah as a pastor sometimes you see manipulative people trying to build their way in the church no church grows an inch without watching such people and putting systems in place to handle such people am I anytime you see any church has gone through schisms divisions it always started with whisper campaign yes yes they're gogizmologists you got it right go what gogizmos so gogizmologists yes [39:19] I have to give you an award gogizmologists yeah that's why it's showing it's showing in the outcome of your life it's showing it's showing it's showing your life testimony your life is becoming like a desert no I've seen the hand of God every time God is moving a lot of personal things get taken care of you don't have to be no no when God is moving and you're on the right side some things don't become a prayer topic some things don't become a I'm not saying anybody who is suffering away is a gogizmo no that's not that's not what I'm saying but I'm saying some people you know when it's begun you know your child wouldn't have suffered that setback if you have not joined if you have not been absorbed into a whisper campaign and you champion the whisper campaign you make this innocent children [40:37] God has blessed you vulnerable anytime anybody rises against a move of God it shows in their health their finances their family yes their family sometimes you don't see where divorce is coming from breaks the marriage yes I'm not saying every divorce is like that but sometimes when you stay long in church and some things are comfortable in your life ravaging your life maybe you've missed something or you've been absorbed into a whisper campaign whisper campaign am I preaching at all your marriage has been hijacked by household wickedness whisper campaign made it easy nobody heavily plucked into grace suffers certain damages heavily plucked into grace when I see some things that are not the way should be happening around me first thing [41:40] I check is not just my prayer life I check my connectivity to the grace vessels God has given me I begin to check quickly just in case the grace I'm enjoying has been suspended yes maybe grace aid has been frozen because the channel has been clogged through whisper whisper yeah gogismos gogismologists and gogismos whisper campaign yes gogismos membrane grumbling from goguzo goguzo you know that even tells you that something's wrong goguzo goguzo yes all right now let's go back to so the devil's ammunition was to use gogismos but but what was his target let me just see that so I can end let's look at the text again in those days when the number of the disciples was multiplied there arose a memory of the grecian against the hebrews because their widows were neglected in the daily ministration so the gogismos arose whisper campaign started and also said okay we got to do something about this so verse two then the twelve see the unity they spoke together they acted together unity that's why the strength of every church is repository in the unity of the leadership that's why if you are in any level of leadership in this church and we don't feel you are united with the mission with our direction with what [43:43] God is leading us to do let's say God said we should be fasting! you can be in our pews but in our front lines you are not you are not God Satan is going to use you heavily so he says that see church leaders don't be afraid to excuse the person who is not on the side of what God is doing in the church excuse them excuse them out of the leadership don't be afraid they can be! [44:14] let them say! you can't stand in the way of what God is doing one great man of God said God is too wise to tie your destiny to somebody who is going to leave you let them go just walk with God our strength in this church is our we are buying it so the twelve they were united they called the mochi that would be a big number about 20,000 people they called them the mochi of the disciples not just congregation disciples and said unto them it is not reason look at the new king james it is not desirable it is not something to be liked how does the [45:18] NIV put it I like the NIV version it is not right it would not be right morally not right spiritually not right intellectually not right something is wrong it will be fundamentally wrong now watch this this chapter six is a historic chapter is a fundamental chapter is a game changer it was introducing a new face into the church chapter six is a very strong text that every sound church growth have to give attention to chapter six every town pastor who wants the church to grow have to listen to look at because chapter six is fundamental and instead for church to grow for church to be healthy some things are not right it says spiritually not right it's fundamentally not right it's morally not right it's not just right it's just not right it's just not right for us what is not right that was not right to neglect it's not right to neglect it will not be right to neglect you are talking about two important things socially you can't have people hungry they will die they need to be catered for you can't leave safeguarding unattended it needs to be catered for you can't leave things unattended these are basic social things that every common wise and any society that has common sense will not abandon you can't say children should just play let them eat anything and talk no we don't need to be fed they will die if you don't feed them they need to be fed so you can't say it's not important so you see where it came from a very sensitive thing that cannot be overlooked that's what hit the [47:32] American church the racial issue it cannot be overlooked but some people gave it priority that is what is morally wrong when it comes to church some things cannot have priority over some things when it comes to church it's a spiritual entity it's not a civil rights movement yeah it's not a charity organization the church is a gospel community because of that let's keep the main thing the main thing so now two major important things one is good good we have to feed the widows we have to attend to this thing it's crucial the other one is best why do we leave the good allow the good to be the enemy of the best that's what was at stake Satan's target was not people's bellies [48:35] Satan's target was the preaching of the gospel the preaching of if we can get these people to be distracted by focusing on things that are necessary and leave the essential thing that only the church can do there are churches that have become campaign social housing campaign that's their main message there are churches that have become campaigning for diversity inclusion and equity or equity and inclusion is there anything wrong with it I don't know but that is their major purpose for living that even when you give them a chance to preach and the world is listening they will talk about race and they will talk about immigrants and the world thinks that's good yes somebody has to shut up the job of the church is not fundamentally that there's something that trumps or that supersedes that message when the church stops preaching the gospel see there are other things different organizations can handle when it comes to housing when it comes to alleviation of poverty when it comes to human rights there's so many there are different organizations that can handle these things effectively so many organizations can put a new suit so many organizations can put a new suit on a man but it's only the gospel of [50:06] Jesus Christ that can put a new man in a suit only the gospel can put a new man why do we leave the gospel and focus all our energies on this thing that is also important but other things can do the preaching of the gospel is not the same as taking care of the needy it's important taking care of the needy is important but they are not at the same level don't put them at the same level a spiritual person will know where to draw the balance where you are able to draw the balance is a reflection of your spirituality and your sensitivity and soundness doctrine you are not at the same level they are not so Peter said Satan is coming after the message didn't they tell them not to preach in their name they were preaching so he said let me use the different means let me use the social means let me use the civil means let me use the justifier good means something that looks very good Jesus said to [51:07] Peter that get behind me Satan for you don't mind the things of God you do mind the things upon how people think what will people say this is not right it doesn't look nice it's not about whether it looks nice the first thing is that is it in line with the purpose of the church the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ the gospel of God and the testimony of the Lord Jesus Christ that is what the church is to do once that is abandoned the church has lost its relevance so you can hear the news media people have left their churches it is the churches that have left their mission when the church loses its mission it will lose disciples it might only get to a few people coming but those are not even potentially disciples because disciples don't feel comfortable in a church that has lost its gospel mission don't be afraid to talk to unbelievers thinking that it's your reasoning that can save them it's no human reasons that save it's the gospel and the testimony of our [52:22] Lord Jesus Christ somebody shout hallelujah hallelujah hallelujah it's the gospel but the devil wants to downgrade our gospel we cannot leave what is best to go and attend to what is good we cannot focus on what is good at the expense of what is best Satan use the whisper campaign to target the preaching of the message so apostles say guys we cannot leave it is not right it is just think it's a thing guys think it's not right for us to leave the word of God and to serve tables is he indicating that serving is bigger I'm bigger than some people you give them work today I'm big I'm bigger than that I'm bigger you say God has gifted you to be singing but I'm bigger than joining the choir I'm bigger [53:23] I'm a special artist you want to be an artist in your own church you you but as I run up for today the most important thing I want you to know that Satan uses whisper campaign in the church to undermine the teaching of God's word so some people when a pastor is preaching they will hear the gospel again whisper campaign everything is filtered through the whispers they've heard yeah so you see all the preaching the person is hearing whisper campaign so it doesn't matter what you say one day I was preaching about get a job a certain guy who wasn't working for a long time you see it makes it difficult when you have to let's say you are a wife bitter when I'm preaching and now I have to address why I'm bitter because of you I have to admit [54:23] I can't speak about it because of you I have to go and stand somewhere else and try and speak because of your deplorable behavior but it's not you it's just a message you've taken it so personal you think we are targeting we leave everybody just to target you and sadly sometimes what is even sad is people can be watching online and they think this pastor he has something about me that's why he's talking now listen then I'm preaching this message and I'm holding my bible and then somebody said he's saying this because of me who ordained him by mistake listen and people who didn't even listen to the message because of whisper campaign whisper campaign [55:28] God gismology in the church God gismology in the church some of you I'm looking at you I can tell there's something going yeah I see God helping us all next week next week is going to be more powerful I'm going to continue on next week but because of time I have to end today's message just please remember last week he said don't fight against God this week don't let the devil use you to fight against the church through what whisper campaign whisper they said have you heard have you heard have you heard you know they don't like you it's because you don't speak their language because you don't do this because you don't do this and some are also not considerate about others are not sensitive about others you don't care whether someone is there how it will affect them in this comment you are passing they say you know there's a sister standing near you she's been married for three years she's not yet have a child and you are standing there hey as for if you're married and you don't have a child [56:47] I don't know what's wrong with you you know you are not being sensitive you are you are not being sensitive you are not being wise you are being very brutal and it's a sign that you are not spiritual at all you you are not spiritual spiritual people think in charismatic culture people think spirituality yeah that is no sign of spirituality ability to speak in match tongues is no sign of spirituality ability to be screaming is not a sign of spirituality.
