Thank you for tuning in to this powerful message by David Entry at Karis Phase 2,! Our Christ Centred Youth Services. You can never find Christ outside of the open Word of God. [0:13] May Jesus Christ reveal Himself to you as you listen. Ephesians chapter 6 verse 10. Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. [0:29] Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. [0:53] Wherefore, take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand in the evil day. [1:05] And having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins get about with truth, and having the breastplate of righteousness, and your feet short of the preparation of the gospel of peace. [1:29] Above all, take in the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts, the fiery darts of the wicked. [1:41] Here ends the reddit of God's word. Father, thank you so much for bringing us together so we can have your word taught and opened to us. [1:55] We pray, Holy Spirit, open up the text to us. By your power, to your glory. In Jesus name. [2:06] Amen. Amen. Amen. Praise the Lord. Hallelujah.ยis Let'sยis Let's!ยis Let's!ยisยย! [2:18] !ยยย has got tricks, while there means tricks, trickery. [2:38] The devil uses tricks. So he makes you think the wrong way. He makes you think what will help you is hurting you. [2:51] He makes you think what will hurt you is what you need. He will inspire you to buy a baby lion. Thinking that this dog is nicer than the other dogs. [3:07] Having this baby lion will make me look more posh. That is what is about to eat your destiny. That's what has happened to a lot of people when it comes to choosing career path, special education, ministry, or marriage. [3:29] They choose what they think will make them look better than their friends. Meanwhile, it's a trick of the enemy. Well, finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and put on the whole armor of God because we wrestle not against flesh and blood but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual host of wickedness in heavenly places. [4:01] wherefore, take unto you the whole armor. I explained last week that unto you, that he's talking about incorporate you. All right? The whole armor of God that he may be able to withstand. [4:15] That's what caught my attention in the evil day. Can you imagine there's a day that's going to be an evil day? Not all days are evil but one evil day can wipe out all the importance of the other days. [4:32] Yeah? In the evil day, the Bible says that there is an evil day. There are some days that are evil. There is a certain day it's an evil day. [4:44] It didn't say the evil day will not come but it said when the evil day comes it's not everybody who caves in. It's not everybody who becomes a victim because of the arrival of the evil day. [4:59] It said that when the evil day comes you won't fall. You'll be able to stand. [5:11] It's there. It's there. That ye may be able others are not. the evil day is like a tsunami. It blows you off your feet and it ends your career your career in the blessed path of God. [5:31] God's blessings in your life. The evil day. He says that take on the whole armor of God that ye may be able to stand in the evil day. [5:44] Wow! May God help us to stand in the evil day. Amen! Sometimes people go through things and they feel like no it's enough. [5:58] I've had enough. I'm quitting. I'm leaving this job. I'm leaving my ministry. I'm leaving my wife. I'm leaving my husband. I'm leaving the business. [6:10] I'm living life. Some people even go as far as want to end their life. I've had enough. It's an evil day. the same day can come to somebody and it will come to you but when it comes you will stand. [6:30] You see what I'm saying? You're standing. It's not able to floor you. You're standing. He says that that ye may be able to stand down or that ye may be able to withstand. [6:47] So having done all things to stand so you're able to the evil day is blowing you but you're able to stand and resist it. [6:58] You won't be the victim. Situations happen to be poor in life but not everybody is victimized. What others are going through you go through and do well. [7:12] They went through and they never recovered. They went through and break down. You go through and fly. Joseph went to prison and became a prime minister. [7:23] Others went to prison and they lost their head. They were able to stand. Some translations use the word stand in the evil day. [7:33] Back in James and New King you said withstand in the evil day. Wherefore take unto you put on the whole armor of God that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day and having done all. [7:50] There are two things here. It says that you take on the armor of God. Why are you taking on the armor of God? To be able to withstand the evil day. It said having done all. [8:02] You take the armor of God. Every other thing finally be strong. Having done all. Even having stood in the evil day or withstand in the evil day. Having done everything, ten years from now, you are still standing. [8:19] Having done all and having done all to stand. Because others do all withstand even in the evil day. [8:31] But therefore, I see you standing. Twenty years from now, you will be standing. Thirty years from now, you will be standing. [8:43] If Christ tarries, I see somebody celebrating 40th year in ministry. You say, this is my 40th year in ministry. [8:57] You will be standing from generation to generation or time to time, from season to season. You withstand, you stood all evil days and you are standing. [9:11] So what matters is that after all is done, shall we find you standing? After all this shall we find you standing later? [9:28] When you have been offended, shall we find you standing? When you have been disappointed, shall we find you standing? When you have been rebuked, shall we find you standing? [9:39] When you have been corrected, shall we find you standing? Don't be offended because the pastor is talking about the truth. You should be strengthened because you are getting exposed to the truth. The truth strengthens you. [9:53] Else you can't stand. Else you will fall. Else when the evil days come, you will never be the! else we know you but one day everybody says, oh, look at what has happened to him. [10:04] Ah, this guy, oh, oh, you couldn't stand because you didn't expose yourself to the truth. Jesus said in Matthew 8, verse 32, you shall know the truth. [10:16] And the truth shall set you free. The truth, the truth, the truth, the realities engulfed who Christ truly is. Let it engulf you. [10:26] Let it capture your hope in who Christ truly is, what the word truly means. You can lose everything but don't lose Christ. In John 17, 17, it says, sanctify them by your word. [10:40] Your word is truth. Hallelujah! In Ephesians chapter 1, the Bible calls the word of God the word of truth. The word of truth. The word of truth of the gospel. [10:53] The word of truth. The word of truth. The word of truth. The word is truth. So it says that, what is it trying to suggest to us? [11:06] The scripture is trying to make us understand that if we can expose more of ourselves to the purity of God's word, I struggle to understand how someone think they can do well as a! [11:22] Christian. without reading your Bible. It doesn't matter the amount of preaching you hear. You have to read your Bible. The Bible is direct. [11:35] Preachings are important. It helps you so that you can appreciate when you read your Bible. But the Bible is like direct source. When you go to the Bible it is direct source. You are not going to the Bible for points for argument. [11:49] You are going to the Bible to feed. Man must not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds out. So you go to the Bible to feed. You have to read it so you feel something has entered you. [12:01] That's how to feed. Are you struggling with temptation? It's not because you are weak. It's not because you are weak or weak willed. It's because you are malnourished in God's word. [12:17] You are becoming anemic, spiritually anemic. Spiritually anemic. There's not enough oxygen being supplied in your brains, in your body. [12:30] You are not feeding your God. The word of God is the oxygen for your spiritual life. As I have been to church, so what? The chair has also been in church. [12:42] the church didn't hear the preaching. You heard the preaching, but now go and read your Bible. That is a reflection of how smart you are. [12:56] The Bible uses another word for smartness, a fair mind. Acts chapter 17 verse 11. It says, the people of Berea, they were more fair minded. [13:10] Fair mindedness, fair minded people don't end with what they hear from the preacher. They go on to the text itself. [13:24] How beautiful would it be that after church you go and take your Bible and Ephesians chapter 6 verse 11 verse 10 you start reading through again. Just in case the pastor didn't say something God can say it to you. [13:40] 1 Timothy chapter 3 verse 9 holding the mystery of faith how do it? You see pure conscience is important. This is your spiritual life. [13:52] It must be protected and preserved in the crucible of pure conscience. Strong Christian have good conscience. [14:08] Pure conscience. church leader pure conscience. Man of God pure conscience. Woman of God pure conscience. People might not know but do you have a pure conscience? [14:22] 2 Timothy chapter 1 verse 3 I thank God who I saved from my fathers my forefathers with how? Pure conscience. How do you serve God with a pure conscience? [14:34] 2 Corinthians chapter 1 verse 12 2 Corinthians chapter 1 verse 12 For our rejoicing It is the testimony of our conscience that in simplicity and godly sincerity not with fleshly wisdom but by the grace of God we have our conversation in the world and more abundantly towards you! [15:01] Not only the world but towards you! We have our lifestyle towards you! We do this with making holding it says that this is the testimony of our conscience you as you are relating with people what is your conscience what's the testimony of your conscience are you getting what I'm saying? [15:20] What's the testimony of your conscience what's the testimony of your that is how you stand on breastplate God you can't stand if breastplate of righteousness is not in place which plays out through your conscience Hebrews chapter 13 verse 18 pray for us for we trust we have a good conscience in all things willing to live honestly good conscience there's one thing that every human being who is not insane has conscience animals don't have conscience human beings have conscience so even if you are not in God your conscience will be excusing or accusing [16:21] Romans chapter 2 Romans chapter 2 says that even those who don't have the law it's their conscience so your conscience is an inbuilt godly mechanism to let you know they ought not and ought to so when we are not! [16:40] born again our conscience can be breaking us and telling us don't do this don't when you are born again now your conscience is sanctified so in Hebrews chapter 9 verse 14 let's look at verse 14 how much more shall the blood of Christ who through the eternal spirit offered himself without support to God paid your conscience from dead works to save them so when you are becoming born again the blood of Jesus purges your conscience so you actually have a conscience before you became born again and when you are born again now you have a purged conscience sanctified conscience so the Holy Spirit uses your conscience sometimes to speak to you don't wait for a voice hello my son this is your wife what's your conscience telling you maybe the Holy Spirit is talking to you it's about time you put down the negative conscience let it go so you can maintain pure conscience before [17:44] God I pray that God help us all because none of us is perfect but we have to strive to maintain pure conscience that one of the texts used the word strive to maintain pure conscience maintain pure conscience amen did you receive something oh yes thank you for choosing to listen to this message by David Entry we hope you are blessed by it you can connect with David Entry on all relevant social media platforms including TikTok and threads there's also many more messages to listen to from David Entry on all relevant streaming platforms and on the Karish Church app be blessed
