Thank you for tuning in to this powerful message by David Entry at Karis Phase 2.! Our Christ Centred Youth Services. You can never find Christ outside of the open Word of God. [0:14] May Jesus Christ reveal Himself to you as you listen. Revelation 1 verse 1 says that the revelation of Jesus Christ. [0:28] Let us all read that first line again. Revelation 1 verse 1. The first line. The revelation of Jesus Christ. One more time. The revelation of Jesus Christ. [0:39] For the last time. The revelation of Jesus Christ. And then verse 9. Verse 9. I, John, who also am your brother and companion in tribulation and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ was in the isle that is called Patmos. [1:08] Why? For the Word of God and for the testimony of Jesus Christ. For the Word of God and for the testimony of Jesus Christ. [1:23] The strength of anybody's Christian life is built on one platform. [1:38] One platform and one platform alone. The strength of anybody's Christian life is built on one platform. [1:49] Every healthy Christian life is built on one platform. It's on the platform of the revelation of Jesus Christ. So, Paul said, Galatians 1 verse 15. [2:03] When it pleased God, who separated me from my mother's womb and called me, why in goodness, and called me by his grace. [2:14] Say, by the grace of God. Say, I'm here by the grace of God. I'm here by the grace of God. And called me by his grace. For what purpose? Number, the next verse. To reveal. To reveal Jesus in me. [2:29] Say, that's why I'm alive. I'm alive. So, Jesus will be refilled in me. The revelation of Jesus Christ is what determines what kind of Christian you are. [2:43] The revelation of Jesus you have is what determines what kind of Christian you are. I will repeat that. The revelation of Jesus you have is what determines what kind of Christian you are. [2:57] It's not how you know how to shout hallelujah. It's not the quotations you can quote. It's not how much Bible you know. It is not how much you are in church. [3:10] It's not how many Christian friends you have. It's not how many pastors are in your family. It's not how many pastors you have as friends. It's that. None of that determines the quality of your Christian life. [3:22] The quality of any person's Christian life is determined by the revelation of Jesus you have. And when you have, oh, when you have the revelation of Jesus, then the revelation of Jesus you have becomes your testimony of the Lord. [3:44] And sometimes a task comes against you because of your testimony of Jesus. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. [3:55] Amen. He said, I am on the Isle of Patmos for the word of God and for the testimony of Jesus Christ. Can you imagine the whole book starts by the revelation of Jesus which was given to him. [4:10] It's a revelation of Jesus. The last book in the Bible is called Revelation. And it's not. Many people think it's about revelation of end times. End times. [4:21] End times. No, no, no, no. It's not revelation of end times. It's a revelation of Jesus. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. So, you read it, trying to find out what's going to happen in the end times and say, there's so many things I don't understand. [4:35] Why would you? Because it's not about end time. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. [4:46] No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. [4:57] No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. [5:08] No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. [5:19] No. No. No. No. No. No. feet. And he's wearing a robe. And he has a belt, sash. [5:32] Where do you put your belt? His own is not in his waist. His own is first. And in the midst of the seven lines, I saw someone like a son of man clothed with garments down to his feet. [5:50] The garment was long to his feet. So those of you ladies who want to be like Jesus, your garment is only down to the top of your knees. [6:08] Yes, be like Jesus now. That's just a joke, okay? Like a garment down to his feet. And get about the palms with his golden give us different translations. [6:24] What's pap's? What's pap's? Chest. Chest. Where's your chest? That's where your breast is. Right? Yeah. Belt. [6:36] No, it's waist. It's belt. It's on his chest. Yeah. It's around where his heart is. Wow. [6:47] Wow. No. Jesus was revealed in the book of Revelation. It's very strange. And he was walking in the midst of seven lampstands. And he had in his right hand seven golden stars. [7:02] In his right hand. He said, in the midst of seven, verse 16 and 17. Two-edged swords. [7:17] Verse 16. He said, the countenance was like the shining star. Let's go to the next, verse 17. So I felt his feet. All right. Let's go to the next verse. Verse 20, actually. I think it's verse 20. [7:29] Yes. Okay. So he said, the mystery of the seven stars. The seven stars, which you saw in the right hand. The seven stars is in the previous. It was in the right. I said, those seven stars are the angel of the seven churches. [7:43] Yes. So angel there is Angelos. Angelos is a messenger. So he said messenger. It's not necessarily an angel. [7:54] But many theologians believe the leader of that church is the star in God's hand. In Christ's hands. So if your pastor is not doing something, instead of gossipy about him, pray about him, Christ will squeeze him in the thing. [8:13] Hallelujah. But a revelation of Jesus. It's a revelation of Jesus. The revelation of Jesus. Ah. Thank God. [8:24] Let me just pause to say this. I'm not talking about a religious, Quranic, black panther-ish, black panther-ish, cultic figure image. [8:42] The revelation of Jesus I'm talking about is not about image. I just used this to tell you, he said, it's a revelation of Jesus. Then he describes some things. But that's not the entire description of Jesus. [8:54] He's more than that. He's the lion of the tribe of Judah. He's the lamb that was slain. He's the one on the throne. He's the, he's the, the Bible says, the lamb is the light. [9:06] There's no need of sun. There's no need of moon. God, the lamb is the, so it's, it's, it's deeper than human imagination's can capture. You can't capture Jesus' revelation with human imagination. [9:20] That's why he said, Exodus chapter 12, verse 1, here, oh Israel, it says that, chapter, chapter 20, I'm so sorry. Exodus chapter 20, verse 1, 2, and 3. [9:31] It says that, and the Lord spoke to, all these words, saying, I am the Lord, your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of God. Thou shall not have any other God besides me, before me. [9:48] Thou shall not make unto thee, the next verse, thou shall not make unto thee, any graven image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or the earth beneath, and that is in the waters under the earth. [10:06] For I am a jealous, who said, thou shall not bow thyself to them, nor serve them. For I am thy God, for I, the Lord thy God, I am a jealous God. [10:18] He said, don't do, you don't need any image. So don't let anybody make something, say, these are heavenly creatures. That's why you can't capture God in an image. [10:30] You can't capture Jesus in an image. So those people who say that, I know the way Jesus looks like, they are, they are deluded. Why didn't he come during the time of internet? [10:42] He came at a time where there are no photographs. So you can't take a picture of him. He said, don't make any image. [10:54] So what am I trying to say? The revelation of Jesus I'm talking about is not an imagery. It's not something iconic, or I'm not talking about iconoclasticism. [11:07] I'm talking about something that is so imprinted in your spirit. Your mind can't describe it. [11:18] You know him, yet you can't describe it to anyone. The revelation of Jesus is in your spirit. If you know, if you say you know Jesus, it's not about what you have seen. [11:33] I saw a creature. I saw something came to me in my room, and I saw Jesus shining in the sky. All those things, you don't need them. People who have some of those things, once in a while, some might be true, because of a unique encounter God wanted. [11:48] Sometimes someone is in Saudi Arabia, has never heard the gospel. No, you can't be saved if you have not heard the gospel. Because even if you see an image, you think it is Allah. [12:03] Because you must have been told about a Jesus. So that when an image guy said, I'm Jesus, then you can put two and two together. Did you understand that? That's why preachers are so important. [12:15] I'm talking about you, as a preacher. The, Christianity is given, is based on your revelation of Jesus. [12:28] That's why my job, is like, there's a, when I was in second school, there's a thing called tracing paper. [12:40] You put it on it, and then you can draw the outline. You can, my job is like, I'm supposed to help you, put your tracing paper, open the Bible, so the image of Jesus, you, from the, I'm, I can't show you Jesus, but I can help you follow the outline. [12:59] That's the job of a pastor. No human being can reveal Jesus. A human being can teach the scriptures, and explain the scriptures with an anointing. [13:09] That one too is grace. With an anointing. And the Holy Spirit breathes on it. Because it takes only the Holy Spirit to reveal Jesus. It takes the spirit to make him known. [13:24] He said when he comes, he will testify of me. John 16, 27. Because he will take, the spirit of truth, the spirit of reality, his job is to testify. [13:38] John 16, 26, 27. He will testify. So, he says that, for the spirit shall testify, the spirit shall testify of me. [13:53] Pastor, you have a testimony of Jesus. What's your testimony of Jesus? The revelation of Jesus you have. That becomes your testimony of Jesus. And, but if I share my testimony, the testimony of Jesus to you, if I tell you the testimony I have of Jesus, that in itself cannot reveal Jesus to you. [14:14] The Holy Spirit then will take my testimony. Because he's the main testifier. He takes my testimony. Look at the next verse. [14:26] Verse 27. And you also shall bear witness, because you have been with me from the beginning. So, the Holy Spirit will be my testifier, and then you also. [14:39] But the Holy Spirit is the main one who helps us to know Jesus. The quality of your Christian life is at the mercy of your revelation of Jesus Christ. [14:52] Jesus the Christ. Jesus the Christ. Yes. When, when Paul got saved, Bible says in Acts chapter 9 from verse 21-22, immediately in the synagogue, he started preaching and demonstrating that Jesus the 22, started, verse 22 please, said, but so increased and confounded the Jews which dwelt in Damascus, proving that this is very Christ. [15:20] He was proving, how many of you, that that's an intellectual exercise. He was proving that this is very Christ. [15:31] The Christ, everybody has been looking for. Moses spoke about, Jeremiah spoke about, Habakkuk spoke about, Nehemiah spoke about, Zephaniah spoke about, Nahum spoke about, Amos spoke about, Daniel spoke about, David spoke about, Abraham spoke about, Moses, that Christ, this is the very Christ. [15:49] Meanwhile, Christ has ascended. I was telling them, this is the very Christ. In other words, he was pointing them to the Jesus of Nazareth, who walked on the shores, said, that is the very Christ, that the ancient fathers were talking about. [16:03] Hallelujah. So, the quality of your Christian life, is determined by the quality of your revelation of Jesus Christ. That's why we are in church. [16:15] We are in church, so that Jesus, will be revealed more and more to us. We are in fellowship, so we can know Jesus more. Because the more you stay in fellowship, the more you likely, if it's a healthy Christian fellowship, the more you are likely to even know Jesus better. [16:35] It takes a whole lifetime, to know him, a little bit. Amen. Friday, where I was preaching, I told them, a certain pastor hired a consultant, to come and help him, to restructure his church, to, for growth. [16:55] And so the consultant, sat with the pastor, and he asked that, the people in the community, so for us to reach out to them, for them to be part of this church, we have to know them, and do some demographics, and know them a little bit more. [17:09] And he asked the pastor, the first question, what does in the community, your church is, he said, what is their biggest problem, the biggest problem, of the people in the community? The pastor said, that's an easy question. [17:20] I just know it. He said, yes, what is it? He said, they don't know God. They don't know God. That's their biggest problem. That's good. The consultant, not that, they asked his talk, he said, okay, then I want you to know, the people in the church, who are currently in the church, what is their biggest problem? [17:37] What's the biggest problem, of the people in the church? Because, once you know their problem, you start addressing it. You know their problem, that you cannot stress them, other than that, if you don't deal with the ones here, when they come in, it becomes, so you must know the problems here, know the problems there, the solution. [17:52] So he asked, what is the biggest problem, of the people in the church, currently? He said, that's easy. That's even so easy. He said, okay, what is it? He said, they don't know God. They don't know God. [18:07] We don't know him, enough. In Jeremiah chapter 9, verse 23, he said, if you are going to boast, don't boast about your riches, your beauty, your education, where you live, your status, what you wear. [18:22] He said, don't boast, it's there. This is what God, he said, that says the Lord, that says the Lord, this is what God is saying. Okay, that says the Lord, let not the wise man, glory in his wisdom, let not the mighty man, glory in his might, nor let the rich man, glory in his riches. [18:42] He said, verse 24, if anyone, but let him that glory, glory in this, that he understands, and knows, that I am the Lord, exercising loving kindness, judgment, and righteousness in the earth, for in this, I delight, says the Lord. [19:04] If you're going to boast, it should be about how much you know what. Jesus said, who do men say I am? Who do you say I am? And then, Peter said, you are the son of God, the flesh and blood has no reveal. [19:19] Ah, Baba my father. To know Christ, the revelation of Christ you have, it must be given. It's always given. Revelation of Jesus is given. [19:33] It's not an achievement. It's not an acquisition. You acquired it. It was given. Paul said, in Ephesians chapter 3, I have been made a preacher, verse 9, to this end, that I might make all men, to make all men, this is so sweet, of which I became a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God, given to me, by the effectual, I spoke about verse 9 now. [20:12] And to make all men see, what is the fellowship of the mystery? So that's why I'm called. And I've been given all this grace, to make all men see. [20:28] That's the best way to be a blessing to people. To make them see the workings of God through Christ. Well, this is just, was burning in my heart, as I stood there, I felt God is raising some people. [20:44] Amen. And if God is raising you, to champion something, He will give you a revelation of Jesus. That's where it starts from. [20:56] It's up on this rock. So He will give you a revelation of Jesus. The age-old question, who is Jesus? Followed by, what do I do with Jesus? [21:12] Point your smile, He asks the people. He said, get rid of, who should I give you? He said, give us Barabbas. [21:23] He said, so what do I do with this Jesus? He says, what do I do with him? What do I do with this man? He said, I'll just kill him. The pilot said, who do you want me to release? [21:37] He said, Barabbas. He said, Barabbas of Jesus. What did they say? And he asked them, what do I do with Jesus? And then they said, crucify him. That's one of the biggest questions in life. [21:49] What then shall I do with Jesus, who is called Christ? Who is Jesus? And what do I do with Jesus? Greatest questions in life. [22:02] Well, briefly, let's get into Ephesians. Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armor of God that he may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. [22:16] For we wrestle not against flesh, not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. [22:29] Wherefore, take on to you the whole armor of God that he may be able to withstand in the evil day and having done all to stand. Stand, therefore, having your loins get about with truth and having on the breastplate of righteousness and your feet shot with the preparation of the gospel of peace. [22:52] Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith you may, you shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one, of the wicked. [23:04] Amen. Amen. So, last week we spoke about the belt of truth. And I explained that the word of God is what keeps your clothes, spiritual garments or armor intact. [23:22] And then, we went on the breastplate of righteousness. Ephesians chapter 4, verse 24. Ephesians chapter 4, verse 24, there's a direct correlation between the righteousness and truth. [23:39] It says that, and that he put on the new man which was created according to God in true righteousness and in holiness. Right. [23:50] So, this new man is created in true righteousness and your inner man is created in true righteousness and in holiness. And he said, now, put on the breastplate of righteousness. [24:05] And I explained that righteousness has a lot to, when we talk about righteousness, it has a lot to do with your conscience. Now, permit me to explain it a little bit more because it says the breastplate of righteousness. [24:21] Where does breastplate cover? Your chest region. What is the most vital organ around your chest region? Your heart. Two most sensitive organs in your body, your heart and your brain. [24:37] heart. They are crucial. The other ones you find. That's why he tells him that when it's Valentine's Day, you see red hearts. Red, red, red, red, red, red. [24:48] All those white, blue hearts. It's not proper hearts. because the heart forms blood and it's red. [24:59] The blood is always red. Anyway, so the heart is the most vital and sensitive organ in your torso region. And so, your breastplate is meant to cover your chest region, especially your heart. [25:14] And when the Bible talks about heart, the center of your heart is your conscience. So, righteousness to protect and defend your conscience. Do you understand that? [25:25] So, the heart of man is the seat of his conscience. When, in Proverbs chapter 4, verse 23, when it says, guard your heart with all diligence. [25:40] Why? Because out of it are the issues. Your decisions, everything you are doing is coming from your heart. that's the seat of your conscience. Broken heart is not good. Broken heart is not good. [25:53] You are about to have some one way or the other sometimes, depending on who you are dating. Yeah. Some people are good, insensitive about other people's feelings. [26:05] Sometimes, the way they go about it is more hurtful than what they have done. What they have done is not that bad. But the way they did it, you are a very mean person. [26:17] Some people are not mean. They are cruel. Yes. They are Hitler-like. And you, you will be warning you, because of him, you've not been coming to church. [26:29] You will see what he will do to you. He doesn't have feelings for people's pain. Broken heart. you will have a smashed heart. [26:40] Yeah. Yeah. Wow. So, when the anointing, when the anointing comes, he has anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor, to heal the broken hearted. [26:54] Yeah. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. The anointing is for not only preaching the gospel to the poor, he has sent me to heal the broken hearted. [27:12] How many of you know people in UK need this kind of gospel? Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Maybe your auntie needs to come to church to hear the gospel so that her broken heartedness will be healed because the way she hates her baby father, a woman's hatred for someone who has been intimate with her and is no more available, it can be very deep. [27:40] If you don't have Christ and you are not, you don't have a certain level of restraint, you'll be very callous, mean, and you'll be like a Jezebel. Yeah. [27:51] Because the hate you would never, and unfortunately, there are some of us here, when you are hate, you don't know how to let go. [28:03] You will never let go. You can be smiling, but even if 20 years, you'll revenge. Yes. You'll revenge. Yes. [28:13] Some people are like that. They can lie low for a long time. You can, they can invite you to their parties, yet they hate you, they want to kill you. Yeah. Yeah. Human beings are different. [28:25] Different shapes. Maybe you are like that. That's why it's always important to be careful when you are stepping into a relationship. Because people who are already in it are having all kinds of regrets. [28:42] I don't like this laughter at all. All kinds of, yeah. She knows what I'm talking about because she has a lot of friends who are close to murder. [28:56] Murdering. Yeah. And you can understand. You can understand because this man, how could you do this to me? [29:10] Why do you think your mom doesn't want you to see your father? It's because of a broken heart. She hates your father to the core. She hates your father. [29:22] If it means hitting him back even if you will be a collateral damage, she will do it. That's why she's using you as a human shield. [29:35] Your dad wanted to meet you. She said, I have a dead body. She'll be dying. Because people, bitterness is killing people. Bitterness. Unforgiveness is like drinking poison and expecting your enemy to die. [29:47] One of the most poisonous things is bitterness. Many, it gives cancer faster. Yeah. [29:58] Some cancer patients, when you trace in their life, they have been very bitter about somebody. Let's go back to Ephesians 6. [30:08] Please sit down. Broken hearts. So, you have to guard your heart. [30:20] The breastplate of righteousness. What does that mean? If you do it rightly, you will hardly be broken in your heart. For your heart to be guarded. [30:33] Take that. So, breastplate of righteousness. Then, then verse 15 says that ow! It's so nice. Having your feet, having shot your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace. [30:55] Ah, that's so nice. It's so loaded. Having shot your feet, what does that mean? You have shoved. Okay. [31:05] So, you shoe your feet. So, the way they put it, it comes across like something different. shot your feet means you have shoved. [31:15] You have put on a shoe. Do you understand that? Yeah. Okay. And then, the AUV says, as shoes for your feet. Did you see that? King James has a funny way of putting it. [31:29] As shoes for your feet. Your feet short. Hey. Our New King James. New King James, please. [31:41] Having shot, same shot. New Living Translation. For shoes, put on the piece that comes from the good news. [31:56] I kind of, I like that. It makes the points a bit more clear here. So, as the part of your armor, the shoe you need is peace. [32:17] Peace that comes from the gospel. Here, the peace that comes from the gospel. So, peace is something that you need. [32:31] Truth, begets righteousness. If you give yourself to the truth, you end up walking in righteousness. If you walk in righteousness, you will be peaceful. [32:44] Is someone getting what I'm saying? Let me show you some scriptures. Thank you, Jesus. [32:55] Thank you, Jesus. God is helping us all. In Isaiah chapter 32, verse 17, let's see what the scripture says. [33:15] Isaiah 32, 17. Let's all read out loud. Let's go. One more time. [33:26] One more time. One more time. You see, the Ephesians chapter 4, verse 23 and 24. [33:37] 23 says, all right, let's start from 22. What does 21 say? [33:47] Yeah, that's the one I'm looking for. So, it says that if indeed you have heard him and have been taught by Christ, as the truth is in Christ, column, then he begins to mention that this is what you have been taught. [34:12] Okay, the next verse, continuation of what you have been taught. But then the verse 24, the truth is in Christ and that you put on the new man which is created according to God in true righteousness. [34:27] So, when you walk in the truth, you invariably! end up with righteousness. When you stay in righteousness, there is peace that comes with righteousness. [34:41] righteousness. Hey, someone getting it? In Hebrews chapter 12 verse 11, Hebrews chapter 12, let us therefore be diligent to enter 12 verse 11, sorry, I said 12. [34:57] Hebrews 12 verse 11, talking about chastisement and then no chastening seems to be joyful for the present. [35:08] Do you know what that means? Do you know what that means? Chastening. Do you know what chastening means? Disciplining. All right. King James, that was also using chastening? [35:20] Chastening. Okay, then NIV, you use discipline. NIV, no discipline seems pleasant at the time. But, how many of you understand it? When you are being disciplined, that's why you used to fight with mom. [35:33] No, no, no. Some of you, now that you are growing, you realize that your mom really helped you by stopping you from attending those stupid parties. Even though you cried in your head of, no, I won't go there. [35:47] You are not going anywhere. You are not going anywhere. You can come, she can come to your friend's house and create a scene. Come on, oh yeah, let's go home. And embarrass you before your friends. [36:02] She doesn't care. she's disciplining you. And when you go out, you don't come early, she will lock the door. Yeah, with a latch. No discipline seems pleasant. [36:16] Is that true? It doesn't seem pleasant. Dad is a wild man. You fill one paper and your dad is on you. Like you have killed the president. [36:30] It's just one paper, one paper. You know what that means? I keep telling you, don't leave that heating on. Turn off the lights. Turn off the lights. [36:42] No discipline seems nice. So, the difference between the top schools and the failing schools is the application of discipline. [36:56] education. When someone says, I graduate from Oxford, it's because it commands a certain level of respect, not because the person is just academically good, but the rigor, the level of discipline they put you under to even have a certain level of marks. [37:17] It's way high. The least mark you get there, you might be A, A, some another university. So, top universities, their regime is very strict. [37:32] Top schools, that's why many primary schools, private schools are kind of good. If you are going to grammar school, what you go through to enter that grammar school? [37:44] Some good schools, the schools that are doing very well. Usually, the head teachers are very strict. Very strict. If you make one, if you are late ones, the way they will punish you if you don't submit early. [37:57] Some place where you come, if you don't come, no one will even punish you. Children, the reason why you can get a job in the city with a bank, top law firms, after you leave the army, is because of the, not just because of patriotism, but the discipline the army gives you. [38:23] Discipline! If you grow up in an environment of looseness, permissiveness, that lacks discipline, you have been hurt. Your future has been capped. [38:37] When someone is well-educated, if someone has a doctorate degree, say from Birmingham University, he can easily get a job in St. Thomas Hospital. [38:52] Meanwhile, he didn't study medicine. He maybe studied accounting or something else. They can give me a job because the discipline this person has gone through to have this level, anywhere they apply themselves, it's easy to work. [39:07] That's why the more well-educated you are, it's a reflection of how your mind has been disciplined or you have been given. [39:18] People who have studied fire, they are able to sit up late to read and get things achieved. People who have been studied fire, they sleep a lot. Sleep a lot. [39:33] Sleep a lot. And sometimes they don't even stay long in their job. They are sacking you because of your incompetence, not because of racism and discrimination. [39:46] People, there's a difference between incompetence and racism. Many people are super incompetent. So when you even try to make them leaders in church, even though they have a hat for Jesus, I will do anything for you. [40:01] We give you your, you are incompetent. He said, character is like a tail. He said, when you are growing, it's small. You have to manage to cut it. [40:12] Deal with it. If you don't cut it, as you grow it, it will be growing with you. One day you're a big man wearing shoes, but then every time you have to keep, you have to keep holding your tail in between your legs because the thing has grown with you now. [40:26] Even though you are a big person, you have this big tail, you have to hide from everybody. Is it not true? Yes. Some of you, your tail, you can't even sit still because the tail is troubling you. [40:42] It's big tail. Bigger than ox tail. Most of us here, if they ask you what's your biggest problem, I know you will say discipline. [40:59] Lack of discipline. That's why you are always late. Always. That's why you don't have a good job. Always late. [41:11] Is it carrying home too close? It's coming home. That's how I do that. That's how I do that. You call me, someone asks you, I say I'm a preacher. [41:25] My latest discovery is, actually I'm not just a preacher. I'm a bodybuilder. I don't lift weights. [41:39] I lift people. My job is to build the body of Christ. I'm giving all my life to give. So the way I'm talking is not because I'm angry. [41:50] Angry people don't laugh the way I laugh. Don't enjoy what they are saying. I'm saying this is because I have to provoke a giant in you. You don't have a job. [42:01] Find a job at home at least. Train yourself to work at home. Train yourself. Tell mom, when you finish cooking, leave everything for me. [42:13] At your age, your mom still has to put the beans out. And you're saying, I want to be a big evangelist. You're lying. At your age, your mom has to put the beans out. [42:30] One day it will be you out. Sounds, that's what it is. No discipline seems pleasant. [42:43] At the time, that's what's happening to you. But I don't care how you feel because in future, you will thank God for my life. Thank God for my life. I am not interested in hurting you. [42:55] I'm interested in helping you. Just in case you get hurt. Sometimes when you are treating your patients, they will be hurt. Right? Sometimes they will be hurt because you have to catch them. [43:09] You are hurting them. Catch them so that you can pull out that problem, that tumor. You have to catch them. When you finish, you stitch them up. And then, afterwards, they heal. [43:21] They're working okay. Now, the tumor is gone because they met a doctor. Yes! At the time of the surgery, it felt like you are being hurt. [43:32] But, six weeks later, you're fine. You're fine. a pastor who cannot tell you the raw truth is robbing you of your greatness. [43:47] All right. Back to the text. No discipline, but, but, but, faithful. Faithful. So, you see, you understand where it's going. [44:00] It's not about you. It's just about the beauty of your future. Sometimes, some words need to be said with all humility and respect. Being confronted with what you have to do is not a sign that you are being disrespected. [44:15] Redefine disrespect, please. You are not being disrespected. You are, it's rude awakening. Just wake up from your sleep and slumber. God, you are heading towards collision, but you haven't seen it. [44:28] Yes, we are just giving you warning, alarm. Danger ahead, danger ahead, danger ahead, danger. Before, you now become a project for management. No discipline seems pleasant for that time, at that time, but painful. [44:45] Later on, however, it produces a harvest of... You see how righteousness is linked to peace? I'm back on my track now. [44:57] It produces a harvest. Say harvest. Harvest. What produces a harvest? Discipline. Discipline. Some of you who have finished your education, your studies, and your course, remember when you were getting closer to your final exams, what you went through? [45:15] It was hard. Very hard. Very hard. But it produces a harvest. That's why I don't just celebrate people who don't like studying, who don't like studying, or who don't prepare for their exam. [45:33] I don't celebrate you. I can't celebrate you. Because it tells me you are not smart. Because you knew the exam was coming, didn't you? It was coming. [45:45] The exam was coming. You didn't prepare for it. Why are you failing? Master, you don't understand. Yes, I won't. Because I... [45:56] I believe in you too much to understand your failure. I believe in you too much. Too much. There's too much in you. [46:07] You are such a great germ and giant. Undiscovered. The potential is astounding. [46:20] Astounding potentials. But if we are not careful, we will oversee the demise of greatness. So we will not do that. We will harass you. We will kick you. [46:31] We will beat you. We will push you. We will give you sleepless nights until you walk into your destiny. And giants like you cannot be left sleeping. [46:47] So we are working with your family. We are working with your family. Your mother, we are working with her. Your dad, we are working with him. So you can be great. Tell mom, church is not taking me away from you. [47:01] They are actually working with you. Hallelujah. From this time forward, every young man who lives with his mother or father or parents must make sure you always empty the bin. [47:24] Don't let any lady in your house do it. do not let any lady in your house take the bin and take in it. No, it's not nice of you. [47:38] Some of you, you haven't recovered from your days outside of Christ. But when you were outside of Christ, you were such a rough person. So a lot of things you won't do and no one can say anything. [47:48] Now you are in Christ. You are still taking the liberties of your nasty past because they don't even expect that of you. Don't wait for them to expect. Show them how a good man looks like. [48:01] Prepare to learn how to live with a woman and take responsibility for women. Prepare! Learn it! How you don't make a woman sad for living with you. [48:14] Am I preaching at all? Oh yes! No discipline is pleasant. [48:26] Righteousness produces peace. Okay, let's go to the text so I can't stop it. So truth produces, when you walk in truth, the truth of Christ, you end up being righteous. [48:39] And when you are in righteousness, peace. Now it says that your feet should, with the preparation of the gospel. You prepared the gospel. [48:50] Gospel is an intrinsic part of your warfare. So you are always prepared with understanding of the gospel. To preach it is the gospel that brings peace into lives of people. [49:06] It's a gospel of peace. In Romans chapter 10 verse 15, he said, how beautiful are the feet. he says that how beautiful are the feet you see that there is the feet now these shoes that the bible says you should shoe yourself with you are not shoeing wearing these shoes to walk away to run you are not wearing these shoes to run a course you are wearing these shoes to fight a battle it's their combat shoes listen when you are fighting in a warfare setting shoes will advantage or disadvantage you can you imagine someone who is going for warfare and he doesn't have proper shoes wearing flip flops sandals are you getting there when you see our police officers if i ask for the soldiers those in the army they have special boots and you always have to take care of your boots they shine it one of the things the army has besides the ammunition and stuff like that is their uniform and one important aspect of a soldier man's uniform is his shoes you check it their shoes their shoes can go anywhere and wait whether it's winter or summer well it doesn't matter they can they can walk on ice those shoes and he says that that's what you need as a soldier of christ you must be shoved for fight how do you shoe yourself preparation of the gospel of peace how beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel you preach about christ his virtuous living his vicarious death his vicarious resurrection you preach about the bloody cross and the empty tomb it's something that is always at the back of your mind when you are living your life the bloody cross and the empty tomb is something that is always it's so much part of you that's the preparation of the gospel that shows you to be able to fight the enemy put on the belt of truth the breastplate of righteousness the your feet short of the preparation the helmet of salvation and above all taking on sorry the shield of faith the shield of faith covers your whole body the belt is your waist breastplate is your chest shoes is your feet but faith when all these other four things are mentioned three things are in place faith is what keeps everything together your faith in jesus if there's anything you lose not your faith in jesus you can lose a job you can lose a relationship you can lose a woman you can lose a man you can lose some money you can lose friends but don't lose your faith don't lose your faith because that's what will take you ahead you need your faith to be able to quench all the fiery darts of the evil one it's always throwing throwing and more are coming but when your faith is in place the time will be at bay in jesus name thank you for choosing to listen to this message by david entry we hope you were blessed by it you can connect with david entry on all relevant social media platforms [53:10] including tiktok and threads there's also many more messages to listen to from david entry on all relevant streaming platforms and on the carish church app be blessed thanks
