Welcome friends to the Ontario Community Church podcast!

So glad to have you join me today as we conclude our biblical exposition and study through Paul's letter to Philemon.

In this short but profound book, we learned how we go from useless to useful when we choose Christ.

Paul's appeal to Philemon was to accept Onesimus back as a brother in Christ. Paul even offered to pay Onesimus' debt!

This reminds us of Christ's sacrifice paying the price for our sins on the cross.

As we wrap up Philemon, my prayer is we embrace the truth that we are all equal in God's eyes.

May the lessons on forgiveness and grace in this book transform our hearts. Now, let's go into the Word together!

We go deeper into this powerful passage where Paul appeals to Philemon to welcome back Onesimus as a brother in Christ.

Pastor Patrick discusses the themes of transformation, reconciliation, and God's amazing grace. Just as Onesimus went from useless to useful when he came to know Jesus, we too are made useful in Christ. In him, we find new life, identity and purpose. Even when we mess up, Christ's love reshapes our lives.

The sermon reminds us that we are called to extend grace and forgiveness to others just as God has shown grace to us. We learn how the Gospel changes everything and sets us free from sin! Be encouraged and equipped as you listen to this week's sermon.
