This is week 12 of Thy Will Be Done, our 42-week series through Revelation.

A scroll appears in God’s right hand, sealed with seven seals. No one is worthy to open it.

John weeps loudly and his tears are not sentimental; they are theological.

A sealed scroll means history has no resolution.

Then a Lamb appears, standing as though slain, and takes it from the hand of God. This is the hinge of the entire book.

Welcome to Ontario Community Church's Sermon Podcast.

Today, Pastor Patrick Dailey preaches on Revelation 3:7-13 titled: Faithful in Weakness, Crowned in Glory.

Jesus commends the church at Philadelphia for their faithfulness despite having little power. Though weak, they kept His word and did not deny His name.

Christ, who holds the key of David, promises them an open door no one can shut, vindication before their enemies, protection from the hour of trial, and a place as pillars in God's temple with His name written upon them.

We'll explore what it means that Christ controls all access, how He provides a way when we are weak, and the eternal rewards promised to those who endure faithfully.

Welcome to Ontario Community Church's Sermon Podcast.

Pastor Patrick Dailey preaches on Revelation 3:1-6 titled: Wake Up, Strengthen, and Walk in White

In Revelation 3, Jesus addresses the church at Sardis, which had a reputation for being alive but was spiritually dead. Their works were incomplete before God; they lacked the inward movement of the Holy Spirit.

Christ, who holds the seven Spirits of God and the seven stars, calls them to wake up, strengthen what remains, and return to the gospel. We'll explore what it means to awaken from spiritual death, to be led by the sevenfold Spirit, and to walk in purity before Christ. To the faithful and those who overcome, Christ promises white garments, security in the Book of Life, and confession before the Father and His angels.

Connected readings include Isaiah 11:1-2; Zechariah 3:3-5; Daniel 12:1; Psalm 119:55-60; 1 Thessalonians 5:2-6.

May we wake from spiritual slumber, be filled with God's Spirit, and walk worthy of our calling in Christ.

Jesus commends the church at Thyatira for their love, faith, service, and patient endurance. Their latter works exceed the first and they are growing in love. Yet, He confronts them for tolerating "Jezebel," a false prophetess leading believers into idolatry and immorality.

Today, we'll explore what it means to resist compromise, let Christ search and refine our hearts, and hold fast until He returns as the bright Morning Star. To the faithful, Christ promises authority and the morning star: Himself.
