Pastor: Patrick Dailey

Date: 8th December 2025

Passage: Psalm 10:1-18

-------------------

Psalm 10 is one of the most honest prayers in Scripture—raw anguish, deep lament, and bold trust colliding in one chapter:

1️⃣ The Appeal: “Why, Lord, do You stand far off?” (vv 1–2)
2️⃣ The Arrogance: The wicked boast, deceive, exploit, and believe God does not see (vv 3–11)
3️⃣ The Assurance: God does see, God will act, and God will bring justice (vv 12–18)

In this special return episode, I share a brief update from the last six months and then walk through Psalm 10 using the OIA method—Observation, Interpretation, Application. Together, we explore:

How to lament honestly when God feels distant
The mindset and hidden assumptions of the wicked
Why pride blinds people spiritually
How God defends the oppressed and upholds justice in His timing
Building integrity when “no one is watching”
Filling your mind with what is holy, good, and life-giving
Trusting that God’s justice is never absent, even when it is unseen

📖 Scripture: Psalm 10 (NIV)

• Why God welcomes our honest cries of exhaustion

• How weakness is not a disqualification, but an invitation

• What it means that God collects every tear

• How prayer is not about performance but about presence

• Why faith whispers “help” even when the heart feels overwhelmed

📖 Main Theme:
God doesn’t wait for you to be strong—He meets you in weakness.

——

🎵 Featured Artist: Ross Fishburn
This episode features the song “I Will Boast (When I Am Weak)” by Ross Fishburn.

Connect with Ross:

Pastor: Patrick Dailey

Date: 14th April 2025

Passage: Psalm 4:1-8

-------------------

In this episode, Pastor Patrick explores Psalm 4—a psalm of peace, written during distress. Called “The Evening Hymn,” it gives voice to our modern need for spiritual calm in a world full of noise.

We will go over:

• What it means that God hears you

• How to find peace when mockers and distractions surround you

• The false promises of materialism and the truth of lasting joy

• Why bedtime is a time to search your heart and surrender

• How to live set apart in a culture of delusion

Main Theme: When the world feels restless, God invites you to rest.

——

This Psalm is a prayer of crisis, confidence, and comfort.

You’ll explore:

What to do when enemies rise up

How discouragement can whisper lies

What it means for God to be your shield

How to truly rest in God's care

Why deliverance doesn’t come from self-effort, but from the Lord

This is for anyone facing battles—big or small. Don’t carry the weight alone. Trust in the living God who sustains, protects, and delivers.

Want the notes from this episode?:

From ancient rulers to our modern lives, the tension between rebellion and surrender remains.

We explore:

Why the nations rage

The illusion of freedom apart from God

What spiritual surrender really means

The call to recognize Christ’s authority

How Psalm 2 connects to the New Testament (Acts 13)

Whether you're exploring faith, wrestling with religion, or walking with Jesus, this episode will encourage you to reflect, re-root, and respond.

Want the notes from this episode?:
