In the midst of fearful circumstances, we can have that same inner peace and strength if we set our hearts and minds on God and His word.

This time, however, Jesus revealed a deeper meaning: the Passover lamb symbolized Himself, and the meal pointed to His impending death on the cross. His body would be broken body and his blood shed to provide salvation for all those who put their faith in Him. The Passover meal, once a remembrance of Israel's deliverance, would now serve as a memorial of Jesus’ sacrifice to take the punishment for sin.

Hell is not a party place where people can spend eternity with their friends doing whatever they want. It is a place of eternal suffering created for the devil and his angels but now is also the eternal destination of those that reject Jesus as their Savior.

People often think the default destination after death is heaven but unfortunately this is not the case. We are already condemned to hell because of our sin, but Jesus made a way to escape that judgment and have a home in heaven instead.
