How many are glad to be in the house of the Lord tonight? Amen. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. It feels so good to be back home. [0:13] Amen. You know, no matter where you go in life, no matter how things change or where God leads you or sends you, Amen, there's still a very distinct place about home. [0:36] Amen. Amen. I'm going to say that again because I don't stand before you tonight, as you know by me pastoring here as long as I have or being raised here. [0:48] I don't stand before you tonight because I'm a perfect man. But I'm able to stand here before you tonight because I've been forgiven of all my sins. [1:00] Amen. Hallelujah. You know, I think a lot of times the church has it all wrong. Ooh. It don't sound right in the pulpit, does it? I'm just going to preach to you tonight. [1:12] Sometimes I think the church has things all wrong because a lot of Christians think that their sin is different because they sin sitting in the pew rather than in the bar. [1:24] Come on. Come on. Come on. I think some of the Christians separate their sin from someone else's sin because they still repeatedly come to church. [1:37] But however, my two cents doesn't mean nothing, but if you was to ask me, I'd say your sin is a little bit stronger than probably the backslider's sin because he's not able to sit under the unction of the Holy Ghost. [1:51] And keep doing it. Amen. Hallelujah. That is able to sit underneath the Word. That is able to sit underneath the anointing. That is able to sit under seeing the Spirit of God move and sit there and take it. [2:05] Amen. Amen. The man once told me, embedded it inside of me, hallelujah, that you've got real problems if you're able to do that. [2:16] Listen to me, church. If you're able to come to church and continue to sin and not feel the conviction of your sin, hallelujah, you've got big problems. [2:31] Amen. Hallelujah. But if you're able, and you know, as a young man, as a young pastor, I used to not get this. And I'm just kind of baring my soul here for a minute if that's okay. [2:43] But as a young man, as a young pastor, I sometimes would not understand why I just couldn't get invite people and invite people and couldn't get them to come through them doors. [2:54] Amen. I've got to tell you, I don't know if this is for me, just for me, but when I sin and I do wrong and I don't plan on changing, this is the last place I want to come. [3:12] Amen. Amen. I'm being truthful here tonight. Amen. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. When I'm out and I'm doing wrong and I do things that I know that I shouldn't do. Amen. Because I know that my mindset is not ready for change, so what I do is I choose not. [3:26] No. Come on. Come on. Because I'm going to feel the Holy Ghost going to wear to you this time. Hallelujah. I choose to remove, hallelujah, of where I'm going to feel conviction. [3:38] I choose to remove myself where I'm going to experience change. I choose to remove myself where I'm going to experience a new way, a new walk, a new call, a new... [3:49] Come on, somebody. Help me preach tonight. Hallelujah. Therefore, we tend to run. We tend to run and be cast into darkness and the outer city because why? [3:59] we're not quite ready for change. Come on now. I often said this. You can listen to the most slick-willy preacher in the world. [4:15] I've done it. Been in this my whole entire life. And you give a certain preacher, Brother Seth, enough time. [4:27] Amen. You give certain... Now listen, I'm not talking about preachers tonight. I'm just talking about people that do things the wrong way. [4:41] And guess what? Sometimes I do things the wrong. But here's what I'm getting at is we've got certain organizations. Hallelujah. [4:52] And their success is based off of numbers. They keep track. of how many people came to the altar that Sunday. They keep track of how many that was baptized the Sunday before. [5:04] They keep track, hallelujah, of everything that took place and then at the end of the year they compare their statistics to the other churches. Come on, somebody. Within that organization to see who was more successful. [5:18] Say it. Say it. Preach. Preach. Well, the last I looked, that somebody that gave their life in Louisiana is no different than somebody led to give their life to God in Indiana. [5:36] Amen. Hallelujah. It's the same thing that's from the same kingdom. But you hear preachers talk and if you give them enough time, they'll convince you to come to this altar. [5:47] They are good, very good car salesmen. Amen. Amen. Hallelujah. They will make you feel guilty and you're feeling guilty because of what the preacher is saying. Amen. The guy named Van Ashten taught me years ago. [6:00] Hallelujah. If you come to this altar because of what I'm saying and I've convinced you to come, it won't make it until you walk out them doors and you'll be doing the same old thing over and over and over and over and over and over again. [6:15] But the moment you get caught up on the right thing, the very moment you get hooked into Jesus. Hallelujah. The very moment you get hooked in to true forgiveness. [6:28] Yes. Not because of me. Yeah. Come on. But because of Him. Yes. Hallelujah. [6:39] Kind of tell Brother Van's testimony if it's alright. Come on. Brother Van has been running from God. didn't even know Brother Chucky. [6:56] He didn't even know how to pray. He was very open about this. He went into the Navy and was out on a ship and that ship was rocking. [7:09] And he was a young man. And he was scared. He wasn't a Christian, was he, Nana? He said he was running, he was smoking. [7:21] He was doing it. Hey. Had wife at home. He said, but when he would get in his bunk at nighttime, he would say, now I lay me down to sleep. [7:41] I pray. Come on, somebody. You better listen to what I'm telling you. It don't matter how many big words you've got in the middle of your prayer that don't mean anything. [7:52] Hallelujah. The Lord sees the sincerity of your heart. He sees the compassion. Hallelujah. What's going in that prayer? Now I lay me down to sleep. For I pray, the Lord, my soul you'll keep. [8:05] But if I should die before I wake you, I pray the Lord, my soul you'll take. He ended up coming back home. His sister, Sister Judy, was on him to go to church. [8:24] Amen? Sister Judy was on him to go to church. That's right. He said, so I decided to go. [8:40] If anybody knows Sister Judy or knew Sister Judy, she don't stop. And she's not ashamed. She's not bashful. [8:52] She was not. And all of a sudden, she came to him and he said, I'm going to go so I'll get her off my back. Went to a revival that was in Livermore, Kentucky. [9:09] And this preacher got up there and was preaching. He wasn't singling people out. He wasn't going to them at this time. [9:19] But he preached his message, Brother David. He preached his message from the heart. Amen? He wasn't trying to sell his product. He wasn't trying to prod them. How many of you in the church feel like you got prodded? [9:33] Come on, you feel like, hey, he just kept poking at you. The preacher kept poking at you. Poking at you. Poking at you. Poking at you. This wasn't the case. [9:45] He said, all of a sudden, it came time to change his service. He gave an altar call. He didn't walk down the aisle and reach down and grab him up out of his seat at all. [10:05] Now, I want you to know this. I'm saying all this to say that. I promise I'm going to get started with my sermon. Papo Van came from a religious home where his mama prayed and he actually, listen to me. [10:21] I want you to listen to me, kiddos. Where or am I, Brother Van's mama laid hands on Brother Van's brother Carl and a bone was sticking out of his leg. [10:35] And she started praying. Now, she didn't know how to pray in big words either. She didn't. But she wrapped a bandage up around his leg and prayed over him and went back outside and prayed. [10:47] When he come back in, his leg was healed. And the Bible, come on somebody. You better listen to what I tell you. I know these things to be true. Brother Van had an earache. He was laying beside a wood stove. [10:58] She walked over. She really didn't know how to pray the prayer of faith over him. So she went over and grabbed his ear and said, Devil, you get your hands off of my baby. If you don't, I'll grab a hash and cut your head off. [11:11] Come on somebody. This is the old time holiness play that I'm talking about here tonight. Guess what? He got up 15 minutes later. The towel that he was laying on was soaking wet from infection that had come out of his head. [11:25] That same God is a... Come on somebody. We still serve that same God today. Amen. Being raised among this, having these happen to him, having these things happen to him, having these miracles happen to him, the minister at this revival walked up to him and said, Hey brother, do you know Jesus? [11:54] Do you know Jesus? Do you know Jesus? [12:12] Do you know Jesus? He said, I got to thinking. And I've heard about him all my life. [12:25] I felt like I've been around him. Just because you felt him. Just because you've been around him. Just because you've had things happen to you. Just because you have seen these things. [12:35] Hallelujah. Just because you've been on the front of the church bench. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. That doesn't mean you know him. And that's what he said. He said, I realized for the first time in my life, I've been around this guy my whole entire life. [12:51] But deep down inside of my mind and inside of my heart, I did not know Jesus. There was no hesitation. Big tears started streaming down his face. [13:03] He got up. Walked to the altar. Amen. Give his heart to God. And was definitely my mentor. Hallelujah. [13:14] He knew the Word like nobody I ever seen. Hallelujah. With that being said, hallelujah, he came to this little church many, many years ago and was preaching about the old time holiness way. [13:26] Amen. Brother Seth asked me tonight or this evening over at my house, he said, do you know what you're preaching on? I said, I have no clue. I said, I've read. I've tried to study. Hallelujah. [13:36] I've looked at certain different directions within the Word. Guess what? I've thrown everything to the wall that I can and nothing would stick. Hallelujah. But I'm going to tell you what we're going to try and do tonight here. We're going to try to preach on the old time holiness way. [13:49] Amen. Is that alright? Am I in a Pentecostal church here tonight? Hallelujah. Is there anybody among my voice that still believes in the old time Holy Ghost? [14:00] Is there anybody under the sound of my voice that still believes in miracles? Is there anybody under the sound of my voice that believes that believes in the evidence of speaking in an unknown tongue? [14:15] Is there anybody under the sound of my voice that still believes in tongue talking, certain of my holiness, dancing, shouting, screaming, and the Holy Ghost? [14:33] Is there any... Are you out there anymore? Is there anybody out there? Come on! Come on! Come on! It's alright! [14:44] I've seen a time where the Holy Ghost took over and we didn't even get to the sermon. Yeah! Come on! Yeah! Hey! Amen! Hallelujah! [14:56] Jesus! Hey! Have you often won it? Yeah. Listen to me. And I hope you all know this. [15:06] You all are not popular anymore. That's right. Huh? Come on. You are not a popular group. You were popular in the 60s. [15:19] Come on! There was a great revival that went across the United States of America which was when this church was formed in a kid revival across the street over here in a field and this was a garage that had a potbelly stove that sat right there. [15:33] We've seen that. When we tore this floor apart. You're not popular no more. As a matter of fact y'all don't get mad at me. [15:44] I'm preaching. I'm using this as example. As a matter of fact you're goofy. Yeah. [15:54] Yeah. You're old fashioned. We're old fashioned. You don't know what you're talking about. Amen. Yeah. [16:08] You all been getting it all wrong for the last 50 years. Yeah. Yeah. Of course. Exactly. You all are a cult. [16:20] Oh yeah. Come on! You all believe in snake handling. Come on! Hey, they've put all kind of labels on us over the years. Although, there are some of them out there. Come on somebody. [16:36] Y'all look at me crazy. Hey, Riverside's been accused of handling snakes. Come on! I'm not lying to you. I promise you. I wouldn't lie to you in the pulpit. Maybe outside. [16:46] Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Come on. But we're going to talk about the demonstrations of the Spirit. Yes. Amen. Because I think it's the right thing to do with our young... [17:00] Why don't you give the Lord a big hand and praise for our kids tonight. How many kids we got? Why don't all the kiddos stand up for us? Man, look at y'all. [17:11] Go ahead. All you kiddos stand up. Give the Lord a big hand and praise for our kiddos. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. [17:22] They are almost... They are almost part of the dying generation of the Holy Ghost and power. Amen. Hallelujah. You're not going to see people laying on this floor anymore under the notion of the Spirit tapping them on the face trying to pray the Holy Ghost to them. [17:43] When is the last time you've seen yourself buried in this carpet? Hallelujah. And you had a young man over there and you see him bottomless. Come on. I was sitting right there. [17:53] You see that woman right there in them glasses? She was sitting right on top of me and had a bottle of oil. It was sitting on my chest and wasn't about to let this old boy get up until I experienced something that was going to last for my entire life. [18:08] Amen. And all of a sudden I got that chatter in my mouth. I got that fire down in my soul. I got that going to get a niple to that jack and an ever quenching fire that I could not return. [18:20] Because I was born in the holy ocean fire and the smoke did never satisfy. Woo! When is the last time you played somebody through? [18:34] Hallelujah. So I want to preach tonight on the demonstrations of the Holy Spirit. Amen. Amen. And the demonstrations of the Holy Spirit. Is this alright? [18:46] Yes. Kiddos, I want you to pay attention to me here tonight. For those of you that don't understand the Holy Ghost, the shout, the screaming, the hollering, because guess what? [19:03] I was once like you. I thought that I was too cool for school. [19:15] I never in a million years seen myself up here. running around this church hooping and hollering and acting like a fool. [19:44] How many has ever been there? How many have, when you first experienced Pentecost, how many has ever been there? where you did not really say, man, you were uncertain. [19:57] Man, what in the world is this? These people are nuts. These people are crazy. And when you ask for explanations or questions, the thing that they come to you with is, man, it's supernatural. [20:12] Well, try googling supernatural. See where it leads you. you're not going to get a lot of explanations looking up the meaning of supernatural. But hallelujah, I'm going to get on to this message of the demonstrations of the Holy Spirit. [20:27] Amen. First off, I want you to realize that without the Holy Ghost in your life, I'm going to say that again because you have to get this in order to get the rest of this message. [20:44] Without the Holy Ghost, without the gift of the Holy Ghost in your life, you are powerless. You do not have the power and the strength yourself to walk out these doors and to face every battle that comes your way. [21:03] Come on, somebody, I'm telling you the truth tonight. Hallelujah. As a young man, as a young woman, hallelujah, we're just going to be real. You don't have the power yourself to walk out these doors and to handle what the devil is going to throw you without the gift of the Holy Ghost. [21:19] In Acts, the first chapter, the eighth verse, it says, for you shall receive power after the Holy Ghost is upon you, and ye shall make you rulers out of Samaria. [21:33] So in other words, how many have ever felt that you've experienced God as your personal Savior, but you know there's more? Come on, somebody. And what that more is, is the gift of the Holy Ghost. [21:46] Amen? What that drawing is, is the gift, hallelujah, of shouting, screaming, crying, speaking in tongues. Hallelujah. Now listen, everybody's Holy Ghost is not exactly the same. [21:58] Come on, somebody. Seeing people throughout my life that was better prayer warriors than they were shakers. seeing some people that were better at understanding the Word and presenting it and preaching than someone else who would teach it. [22:18] Hallelujah, and be able to decipher. Amen. God made you just the way you are. Amen? And He gave you a gift. [22:29] And some of the demonstrations that I want to preach on here tonight is by what Apostle Paul did. man did. And Apostle Paul left a great example. Hallelujah. Apostle Paul knew the meaning and the value and the demonstrations of his own ministry. [22:42] Hallelujah. In the book of 1 Corinthians 2 chapter 4 and 5 verse, it says, And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom. Hallelujah. [22:53] But what was it? But it was in a demonstration. Hallelujah. When we're raising, when we're clapping our hands, when we're praising God, we're demonstrating of the goodness and how happy we are and what God has done for us. [23:06] Amen. How many has ever felt that feeling before? How many has never felt that feeling before? We're 100. Hallelujah. It's a feeling. [23:19] As a matter of fact, Jeremiah said it's like an all-consuming fire. Hallelujah. That is shut up in my bones. Hallelujah. How many has ever been burnt by a flame? [23:29] Hallelujah. Or you've touched something that was hot and you didn't know it was hot. Amen. How long did you leave your hand on it? What'd you do? [23:41] We took our mind and jerk. If the Holy Ghost is like an all-consuming fire that is shut up in your bones, when you see somebody jerk, when you see somebody jump up, when you see somebody blow their hands up, when you see somebody starting to scream, guess what? [24:01] it's that all-consuming fire. How many believe that our kids today fight more battles than ever before? Let me tell you why. [24:13] Let me tell you why. Because there's not enough demonstrations of the Holy Ghost. Hallelujah. And Pentecostal power. Hallelujah. Like we was talking, when you get people and young people that come in here, hallelujah, and they begin to get under the unction of the Holy Ghost. [24:27] And they begin to shake. And you see them in the spirit. What have we been taught all of our life? When you start shaking, what happens? Those spirits are loosened off of your body. [24:39] Come on, somebody. The moment that that Holy Ghost comes upon you, and you can't contain it, and you can't control it, those spirits have to go somewhere. [24:49] Let me put this microphone down. I've got to get out here with you all. Another word I'm trying to say here tonight is this. It's as close to heaven as you'll ever get. You heard me preach this, sis. [25:01] Hallelujah. When you get under the power of the Holy Ghost, you automatically move within your mind to the supernatural realm. So therefore, you're no longer here. [25:17] You're no longer here on a place called planet earth, even though your fleshly body is. But the moment that that Holy Ghost comes upon you, your mind has went someplace. [25:28] Your mind has went someplace else. All of a sudden, for that short amount of time, that you're, want me to blow your mind here tonight? [25:45] All of a sudden, for that short amount of time, guess what? You don't know where you are. You don't know your name. You don't know where you're standing. [25:55] need. And when you get up, sometimes if you got faith in the spirit, you don't know how you got there. Because you've been taken away. You have been removed from all of your elements of sin. [26:12] Is this all right? You've been removed from planet earth earth while your fleshly body is still here. How many has been there? [26:30] How many liked it there? How many strived to get there? You know why I love it so much? [26:40] it so much. Because for the short amount of time that we get there and we're in that spirit, I'm free. [27:05] Oh, come on somebody. I'm finally free. There's nothing there to haunt me. There's nobody there to talk about me. [27:16] There's nobody there to put you down. There's no one there to judge you of how many girlfriends or wives you've had. Hallelujah. Or how many husbands you've had. [27:27] Or how much dope you've done. Hallelujah. Or the road where you went through. Finally, you're free at last. Because there is no evil. [27:39] Come on somebody. The Lord is here. going to shut him high. We got to give back. I'm not even going to get to my message. [27:56] Let me hurry along here. I'm about to lose myself. Praise Jesus. [28:07] Thank you. Is this alright tonight? Yes. Yes. as you see us walk through the door, one of the first demonstrations that you probably recognize. [28:20] You're probably going to hear somebody cry in travail or in an intercessory prayer. You're probably going to see the lights lowered down. And that is simply... [28:31] How many has ever wondered why we do these things? Raise your hand. Come on. Come on. Raise your hand. You wonder why we do these things? Hey, and this is what the Lord wants me to preach tonight. [28:42] And so you have an understanding of why these things are implemented the way that they are. Amen? And where we got them from. So when you walk through the doors, you're going to see the lights lower. [28:53] That normally really freaks people out. Man, they got them lights off. Yeah, y'all heard it. [29:04] They got them lights down in there, man. I don't know. They not pay the electric bill? But when you come in, you're going to see a demonstration of someone that is lying before the Lord. [29:21] And what we're doing is we're doing everything that we can because it's been a very hectic week. It's been a very busy week. Hallelujah. And what we do is we take that time before service to open with prayer. [29:34] Hallelujah. To get our frame of mind in the right place where we can worship our one true almighty God. Amen. Where we can pray. Where we can how many has ever had to just simmer down? [29:47] And that's our simmer down time. Alright? That's real talk. We come in, we simmer down. Hallelujah. And we do our best to forget about the phone conversation we had on the way over here. [30:01] and leave everything back there at the back door. Amen? Yes. Once we enter into our element of intercessory prayer, then we are normally overwhelmed by God's true love, grace, and mercy because you feel this closeness coming. [30:19] Now I got to tell you, sometimes we have to make ourselves get down and pray like that. And we don't immediately feel God when we begin to pray like that. [30:31] Sometimes it's a struggle. But we have to make ourselves. And we have to push. Hallelujah. How many of you know what push means? Pray until something happens. [30:45] Amen? Sometimes we have to push through. Sometimes we have to get ourselves there. And listen, the harder it is for you to push through to get there, which would more so than mean that you would not have been part of the service if you hadn't. [31:03] Come on. You probably wouldn't have got anything out of the service. So the demonstration that you see is prayer, intercessory, travail. And then all of a sudden the Spirit begins to come. You'll see the lights raised. [31:14] We begin to get in our true worship. And you'll see a demonstration of clapping hands. How many knows why we clap hands? Victory. Have you ever seen anyone clap their hands because they were sad? [31:32] Have you ever seen, how many Kentucky or Louisville fans we got in the house? Have you ever clapped when your team loses? You ever clap when your team wins? [31:44] Amen. Clapping hands is a demonstration of victory. Amen. God commanded His people to clap their hands as a demonstration of His power. Amen. Hallelujah. To give them triumph over victory and all the forces of enemy. [31:57] Amen. In the book of Psalms, the 47th chapter and the first verse it says, oh clap your hands all you people and shout unto God to the voice of triumph. Amen. So when you're clapping your hands, hallelujah, it is a form of triumph. [32:11] In the book of Isaiah, the 55th chapter and the 12th verse it says, and all the trees of the fields shall clap their hands. Amen. God's word bids us to clap our hands. [32:22] Hallelujah. Hallelujah. And a grateful demonstration of our joy and satisfaction. Hallelujah. Of what God has done for us. [32:37] Key word, not for you, not just for you, but for us. Brother Chuckie, I should be a good enough Christian that I clap my hands more for you when you win than when I win myself. [32:59] Amen. Hallelujah. And until you get that love in your heart and in your life and you're not wanting to come on somebody, you're not wanting to see your brother succeed more than you, you ain't got the real thing. [33:10] You better get that at the altar prayer through. You're full of envy, strife, hate, and the sin. Amen. As a matter of fact, if you can't praise the Lord for your brother, you can't praise the Lord for yourself. [33:26] Come on somebody. If you can't praise the Lord for your brother, you can't praise the Lord for yourself. Come on. Psalms 98 and 8 said, let the floods clap their hands and let the hills be joyful together. [33:42] Is this okay? Is this okay? I'm going to hurry along. Demonstration. How many thinks we're loud in here sometimes? How many thinks we're loud tonight? [33:56] Did you know that noise, noise is a demonstration? Look at somebody and say noise is a demonstration of the Holy Ghost. [34:08] Did you all know that? Hallelujah. What does noise demonstrate? Finally got y'all. [34:20] What does noise demonstrate? We got any rednecks in the house? We got any motorheads in the house? [34:31] Who many likes fast cars? How many likes to sleep ride? How many has ever been to the Grand Nationals? [34:44] If you've got a car and it pulls up there and it goes. It's a effort back. But when you've got one of them out in a hall top fuel drive-suit, that's up there that's shooting about 3,000 horsepower. [35:02] Yeah. Do you hear it? Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. You better have some earplugs in if you're going to sit there by the starting line. Now, noise is a demonstration of power. [35:19] What does somebody say? Power. Noise is a demonstration of power. Hallelujah. Say, Brother Jeremy, how do you know that? [35:30] Well, if you turn to the book of Psalms 100, the 100th chapter in the first verse, it says, make a joyful noise unto the Lord all you lands. [35:42] This psalm was sung with a great noise in the temple as offering thanksgiving and having survived great danger. In addition to delivering us from the great national dangers, God is faithful to deliver us from unknown dangers that surround us, although we are oblivious of these threatening forces. [36:03] Since God is daily performing countless miracles of salvation for us, it is only right that when we should make a joyful noise of thanksgiving by faith, when we come to God's house for His constant, constant, constant, constant deliverance. [36:24] Yeah, you need constant deliverance. Yeah, I need constant deliverance. Amen? Psalms 95 and 1 it says, O come, let us sing unto the Lord and let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation. [36:43] How many remembers that old song? Hosanna, blessed be the rock, blessed be the rock of my salvation. [36:56] Hosanna, blessed be the rock, blessed be the rock of my salvation. The second, or the next form of the Holy Ghost and demonstration is by uplifted hands. [37:17] Have you ever wondered why you come to church and you lift up your hands? Have you ever wondered, man, why is that? What is that? What is that all about? It's how we surrender ourselves unto God. [37:35] Did you know it is impossible? Yeah, I'm judging you by what the good book says. [37:48] It is impossible for you to be a child of God and be a Christian and not be humble. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Come on. That's good stuff. Hey, come on somebody. [38:00] You don't have a servant's heart. How can you be a servant? Come on somebody. If you're not in order to be a servant, you have to be humble because you're under someone. Amen. I said this when I was a pastor here. [38:12] Every pastor needs a pastor. Every pastor needs preach to. Everybody needs preach to. Amen. Hallelujah. But as we come in, we enter the form of service, we raise our hands. It's a form of us surrendering unto God. [38:24] It's a form of us hate. If a cop thinks he's in danger, what's the first thing he tells you to do? Get hands up. Let me see those hands. [38:35] Why? Because he wants to go home to his family at the end of the night. That's right. It shows that you're not a danger. Amen. The Lord sees your humbleness. He sees your willingness. [38:47] He sees your will to serve Him. And guess what? He sees your heart. When you come, you raise your hands. You've got tears streaming down your face saying, God, I need you. What's that old song? [39:00] Lord, I need you more. More than yesterday. I need you more. More than words would say. I need you more than ever before. [39:15] I need you more. Lord, I need you more. Now, when someone is sitting there in the pew and they're going, I need you more. More than yesterday. And they're standing there like that. [39:26] You may think that, hey, man, I'm standing still a little old. Yeah, I'm standing up. I'm already up. But if you see me going, I need you more. More. [39:38] Come on, somebody. Yes, for me. I need you more. More than words to say. I need you more than ever. [39:49] Lord, I need you more. I say, God, I can't do it on my own. God, I need all the help that I can get. God, it's been a rough week. [39:59] It's been a rough year. It's been a rough five years. God, I need you. I can't do it myself. And that's what the demonstration of lifting up hands does. Amen. Hallelujah. [40:11] Psalms 134 and 2. You don't have to go there. It says lift up your hands. Hallelujah. In the sanctuary. Hallelujah. It's what the Bible says, KJV, baby. Lift up your hands in the sanctuary and bless the Lord. [40:25] Hallelujah. Psalms 63 and 4 said, Thus I will bless thee while I live. I will lift up my hands in thy name. Amen. I'm not going to get through all these here, but I've only got about 45 minutes left, so bear with me. [40:40] Lord help me. Come on, now. Pray. Papo, you say, how many? Give me five minutes. Five, ten, fifteen, twenty, twenty, five, thirty. [40:54] Alrighty, here we go. Pretty important one. How many has ever seen anybody dance? Now, we're going to have a little fun here. [41:09] Not hiding from nobody. Yes, yes. I'm not brave about it. I'm ashamed of it. Yes, your pastor has been in the club. [41:20] Uh-oh. Uh-oh. I know what the club is like. And when you go in the club, you can probably listen to some of my riffs on the guitar. Listen real close. [41:34] You probably heard them on the radio, and it probably wasn't Christian radio. Yeah, come on. What's the first thing you see? Hey, and everybody in there is starting to get that hype. [41:48] It's starting to get that feel. How many have ever been at a ball game, and you didn't even know the music they're playing, but all of a sudden you're sitting in your life. This is sketchy. The thing about it was, when I would hear those riffs, me and my brother, we'd come out and we'd put it in church. [42:05] Well, the band was a little too old to know where they came from. That's how we got away with it. And y'all didn't recognize them either. Well, Brother Chucky did. [42:19] He did. But anyhow, man, is this alright tonight? Is this some good stuff? Hey, man, music is good for the summer. [42:31] Hey, man, music is good for the summer. But a demonstration of dancing in the Spirit. Hallelujah. We know King David brought the ark up to Jerusalem. [42:44] And when David and they were bringing the ark into Jerusalem, the ark's responsibility was what? The ark of the covenant's responsibility was to carry Aaron's rod, that had won the Ten Commandments, because the glory was so high upon the ark, hallelujah, that they could hardly stand close to it. [43:20] Hallelujah. So when they had moved and they were moving the ark, David had danced before the Lord with all his might. And as the ark of the Lord came into the city of David, Michael, Saul's daughter, looked through the window and saw King David leaping and dancing, amen, before the Lord. [43:40] And she despised him in her heart. Therefore, Michael, the daughter of Saul, had no child until the day of her death. And you can find that in the book of 2 Samuel 6 chapter and the 14th verse. [43:54] Because she had despised, of the work of the Lord and seen that Brother David was dancing with all of his might. You think the Lord approves of dancing? [44:08] Yes. Amen. What does dancing do? What is dancing? What does it do for you when you dance in the Spirit? Some may ask. [44:24] Hope I'm not boring y'all tonight. If you research it back, the Hebrew verb for dance that is found in this passage literally means to whirl. [44:45] Hold on to that. Hold on to that. It means to whirl. Alright? Don't forget that work. Because I'm generally being lonely. [44:58] But it simply means to work. How many has ever been walking across the parking lot? And you look out and you see a bunch of leaves grouped together. [45:14] And all of a sudden you see a cyclone. And it starts out real slow. But then all of a sudden it begins to pick up momentum. [45:26] And then all of a sudden what it does is a cyclone. In order to be a cyclone, come on somebody, I'm going to preach to you real quick. In order for it to be a cyclone, brother Chuck, it can't stay in one place. [45:39] If it does, it will dissolve. So it has to move with the front. It has to move with the wind. And then all of a sudden, in the direction that it moves in, it don't just move straight. [45:52] It can bounce over here. It can bounce over there. In other words, what it does is it will walk over here. Hallelujah. And it will pick up a few leaves. It will walk over here. [46:03] Come on somebody. Come on here. Come on here. All of a sudden it comes. And it picks up a piece of paper. Hallelujah. [46:14] Hallelujah. Woo! Woo! Woo! Then next thing you know, it's picked up momentum. Next thing you know, hallelujah, it's set the atmosphere for a shake up. [46:31] How many has ever needed a shake up? Amen. All of a sudden, it's needed a shake up. Yes. Hallelujah. [46:46] Psalms 149 and 2 it says, let Israel rejoice in him that made him. Let the children of Zion be joyful in their king. [46:58] Let them praise. Let them praise his name in a dance. Let them praise his name in a dance. [47:13] Hallelujah. Thank you, Lord. The last one I'm going to talk about tonight is leaping. The book of Luke 6 and 22 said, blessed are ye when men shall hate you. [47:28] Hallelujah. Have you all ever had anybody that you know that hated you? How many here has enemies tonight? Come on. [47:40] We have enemies. Blessed. Blessed. God, man. [47:56] Honey, the Lord said, you're blessed. Don't you have it? Mom, I didn't say it. But the Word of God said, you're blessed. [48:10] Because there's people that hate you. Mom, you do. There's people that hate you. And for that, you are blessed. Somebody give the Lord a big hand. When you got people that talk about you, when you got people that put you down, when you got people that don't have anything to do, I am blessed. [48:31] Look at somebody and say, despite what they think of me, I'm blessed. I'm blessed. I'm blessed. [48:44] Now, here's what we're going to do. Lord Jesus, help us Lord. Sister Amber, I'll have you help me. [48:55] I want you to write every one of these down that I went over tonight. Clap. I promise you, this is in closing. [49:24] Noise. Hands uplifted. dancing. [49:45] And leaping. Blessed are ye when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company. [50:00] Come on, somebody. Hallelujah. Don't be. discouraged when the right people walk out of your life for a reason. [50:13] Come on, somebody, I'm telling you the truth here tonight. Don't be depressed. They needed you more than you needed them. [50:25] And if they're a true friend and they get down on their knees and they do what's right, they'll be back. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. By the way, you can find this in Luke 6, chapter 22, 23, verse. [50:37] Blessed are ye when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and shall reproach you, and cast you out your name as evil. [50:49] For the Son of Man's sake, rejoice ye in that day, and leap for joy. Leap for joy, for behold, behold, your reward is great in heaven. [51:07] Amen? For behold, your reward is great in heaven. Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah. Sister Judy, will you come to the piano tonight? [51:19] Sister Brother Seth. Yeah, yeah, no, no. Brother Jeremy, I'm going to insert something right where you're at because I feel actually going to hear this. When you've done rejected, just remember, it's not rejection, it's re-direction. [51:34] Amen, amen, amen, that's awesome. That's awesome. Hallelujah, hallelujah. Hallelujah, that is so true. No matter what people say about you, no matter how they talk about you, no matter how they turn their back on you, don't you think that that determines your future? [51:55] Amen, as a matter of fact, the Lord said time and time again that you are blessed and highly favored. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah, if you're here tonight and you want more Jesus, hallelujah, if you're here tonight and you want to come down here to this old altar, why don't you just make your way? [52:35] God is good. God is so good. God is so good. You know one thing that I found out is the road of life isn't always easy. [53:02] Matter of fact, the road of life is so hard. It's so hard. The road of life is so hard. I mean, things come against you that you never would have even thought. [53:22] God, I mean, you experience things. [53:34] I've got to tell you, in the last ten years, I've experienced things, Brother David, I thought that I would never experience. [54:01] And it wasn't easy. It was not easy at all. [54:16] Matter of fact, it was very hard. Still is hard today. When you see something right in front of you and you wish you could do something about it, but you just can't. [54:34] when you see something that is unfolding, and you want to make a difference so bad, and you want to step in, but you know you can't. [54:57] It's a hard place. But you know what? God, and I know some of you here tonight has faced those circumstances as well. [55:14] Because this road is not easy. It's not easy at all. God, but I'm reminded of someone that will never leave you nor forsake you. [55:39] Have you ever been to a place where it seems that you just sat idle? where you just sit down and you feel like your wheels are not turning? [55:52] have you ever experienced of being in a place where you just don't know what to do? [56:13] This is real tonight, amen? Amen? But I'm here to tell you that God loves you. God sees purpose in you. [56:27] And God wants what's best for you. No matter where you go, no matter what you've done, no matter how many times you've messed up. [56:41] Is there anybody here tonight? that no matter how hard you've prayed, no matter what you've done, you can't seem to forget about your past. [57:01] You can't seem to let it go. For some reason it still haunts you to this day. you still face the triggers of your mistakes. [57:24] You know why? You know why? Because you're harder on yourself than what God is on you. [57:39] Did you know that? Isn't that wild? God, that when the Lord forgives you, it says that your sin is cast into the sea of forgetfulness. Never to be brought up or returned again. [57:54] Never. There's anyone here tonight that needs prayer. Why don't you come on up at this time? There's anyone that needs prayer or needs a stand-in prayer for someone. [58:09] God. Hallelujah. What song is that? One at five three. [58:21] Jesus is in here. Stop. Hallelujah. Won't y'all come on out and help us pray tonight. [58:40] Hallelujah. Help us sing this. I chose the wrong road. You know it looked good to me. [58:52] Come on. Hallelujah. Almighty God, Lord Jesus. Father God, Lord, as we come to you tonight, Lord, you see brother that. Lord, I ask that you touch my brother tonight. Lord, give him strength. [59:07] Oh, my God. Lord, we ask right now. I was talking Oh, my God. Oh, but now I am trusting You see I reached out to Jesus And you know he reached out to me Hallelujah. [59:35] Hallelujah. Hallelujah. He never left me Yes, Jesus. Thank you, Jesus. Thank you, Jesus. Though I chose to walk away Even when I could not pray He never He never left me He never He through the wrong You know it looked good to me How I How I found the own world I just could not see That I was lost And I was And I was [60:36] And I was And I was Oh, and now I am Trying You see I reached out to Jesus And even though He reached out to me And He He never He never He never He never Is Even though I chose my back or How I believe You've Try to run away again But He never will ever be The one who chose you to fall away [61:40] Even without a friend He never left me In any directions The roads of the same He gave me instructions I've disregarded and changed When sudden destruction He soon came my way And I have to say [62:43] That have got me to pray Cause He can't Replay Thank you Thank you Thank you Thank you Thank you Thank you Thank you Thank you Thank you Even though I chose to walk away Even when I did not I have to say [63:46] I have to say I have to say I have to say I have to say Thank you Lord Thank you Lord Thank you Lord Thank you Lord Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes I just want to thank you, Lord. Church, God is so good. Won't y'all give the Lord a big hand of praise. My son, just received Jesus Christ. [69:29] It's His Savior on His own for the very first time. God is so good. Do y'all know what a real blessing that is? [69:42] Do y'all really know what a blessing that is? When somebody decides for themselves that they will serve the Lord, not their daddy, not their mama, not their aunt, not their uncle, not their dad. [69:55] Preach this, sir. When they get up there, they say they will serve the Lord. That's right. Amen. Amen. Amen. So. [70:09] Touch me. Touch me. Touch me. I'm so proud. [70:21] Jesus. This will need you to get in. You need to go. With God's help. Oh. There have been times that you've been waiting for Ayesha to come and say you've always Um, and you try to keep your eyes here and what you think of it? [71:13] If you think of it, it's like the solution in your future. If you think of it, it's like the final thought of it. Oh Oh Oh I feel Jesus. [71:57] I feel Jesus. He's in his place. [72:09] More. And my soul. You know, love brother. You know exactly what he means. Lord, touch me. [72:21] By his feet. I feel Jesus. [72:32] I feel Jesus. Hallelujah. I feel Jesus. [72:45] Jesus. I feel Jesus I feel Jesus He's in His name And my soul And my soul And my soul And my soul And my soul And my soul And my soul And my soul And my soul Oh. [73:59] All right. Whoo, man. Yes, I feel Jesus. [74:48] Oh, I feel Jesus for His endless faith. [75:01] For in my soul, God, He burns within me. [75:18] For I feel Jesus. He's endless place. [75:31] Oh, He's serious. Good Lord, I am. Brother Jerry told me. Jerry told me. Brother Eddie, your time has come. [75:46] We ask that you stand up and pray for the food we've got to receive. Has He been here or has He been here? Amen. [75:57] He's still here. He is. I will. It's good to have our founding pastor with us tonight, Sister Pat. Give the Lord a hand. Honorary pastor, legacy pastor. [76:14] Amen. What a sermon did we hear tonight. Yes. Right on time. Right on time, straight from God. [76:25] Yes. I like it. I love it. Yeah. It refreshed my memory. Let's do it. Let's do it. [76:36] Let's do it. Let's do it. God's neat. Let's eat. Let's do it. Let's do it. Let's do it. everyone is just going to die. Let's do it. Let's do it. Let's do it. Let's do it. Let's do it. Let's do it. [76:46] Let's do it. Let's do it. Let's do it. Let's do it. Let's do it. Let's do it. Let's do it. Let's do it. Let's do it. Let's do it. Let's do it. Let's do it. Let's do it. Let's do it. Let's do it. Let's do it. Let's do it. Let's do it. Let's do it. [76:57] Let's do it. Let's do it. Thank you.
