Christians is to be found 00:03:20.599 --> 00:03:22.539 in the Lord Jesus Christ. 00:03:23.159 --> 00:03:24.939 They don't need to look elsewhere. 00:03:25.480 --> 00:03:28.300 They need to keep their 00:05:36.039 rolled off their tongues. 00:05:36.139 --> 00:05:37.699 They spoke of spiritual fullness 00:05:37.699 --> 00:05:38.359 and abundance. 00:05:38.659 --> 00:05:40.679 They pandered to people's pride 00:05:40.679 --> 00:05:42.239 and sense of insecurity. 00:05:42.699 --> 00:05:44.159 They offered secret knowledge 00:05:44.160 --> 00:05:45.439 and enlightenment. 00:05:47.520 --> 00:05:49.140 But Paul wanted the Colossians 00:05:49.140 --> 00:05:51.320 to stay with Christ 00:05:51.320 --> 00:05:54.240 and not move away from Him. 00:05:54.920 --> 00:05:57.020 He wanted them to 00:07:21.139 --> 00:07:23.199 even in a world where there are 00:07:23.199 --> 00:07:24.699 so many different voices 00:07:24.699 --> 00:07:26.659 clamoring for our attention? 00:07:27.659 --> 00:07:29.180 Here is how we too 00:07:29.180 --> 00:07:32.639 can stay, not stray. 00:07:32.639 --> 00:07:35.479 These words are applicable 00:07:35.479 --> 00:07:36.680 to us as individuals. 00:08:55.100 --> 00:08:56.200 that might be performed 00:08:56.200 --> 00:08:58.080 on Strictly Come Dancing. 00:08:58.600 --> 00:09:00.519 But no, it is not 00:09:00.519 --> 00:09:03.200 an exotic Latin American dance. 00:09:03.840 --> 00:09:05.240 The word is related 00:09:05.240 --> 00:09:07.360 to this idea of receiving 00:09:07.360 --> 00:09:09.620 a tradition from others. 00:09:10.259 --> 00:09:12.519 So what Paul is writing about here 00:09:12.519 --> 00:09:13.340 is more than just 00:09:13.340 --> 00:09:15.939 a subjective experience 00:09:15.939 --> 00:09:17.379 of receiving Christ 00:09:17.379 --> 00:09:18.379 into one's heart 00:09:18.379 --> 00:09:19.580 by the power of the Spirit. 00:09:20.279 --> 00:09:22.059 It's also about receiving 00:09:22.059 --> 00:09:22.960 the
