start to think, well, this must be mainly for those who want to go all out for Jesus. 00:04:55.920 --> 00:04:58.040 This must be for the spiritual keeners. 00:04:59.379 --> 00:05:04.839 This must be for those few students in the class who actually like school. 00:05:06.800 --> 00:05:10.800 These words must be for the apostles and for the pastors and the missionaries. 00:05:11.699 --> 00:05:12.800 The church leaders. 00:05:13.399 --> 00:05:15.360 Because this sounds like next level commitment. 00:05:15.360 --> 00:05:19.080 But then there's this word whoever. 00:05:20.660 --> 00:05:28.699 00:05:33.460 --> 00:05:35.060 He said to them all. 00:05:35.780 --> 00:05:41.560 In Mark's gospel we read that he actually turns to the crowd and calls them to come before he says these words. 00:05:41.560 --> 00:05:45.980 Whoever means anyone. 00:05:47.480 --> 00:05:50.000 And that stubborn little word must. 00:05:50.920 --> 00:05:51.899 Which follows. 00:05:54.980 --> 00:05:59.579 What this says is that these things are required of all who wish to follow Jesus. 00:06:00.240 --> 00:06:03.959 So it isn't just for apostles and pastors and missionaries. 00:06:04.500 --> 00:06:08.139 where the words of Jesus. 00:07:19.560 --> 00:07:20.879 I find them amazing. 00:07:20.879 --> 00:07:24.839 In the next breath in verse 24. 00:07:25.040 --> 00:07:29.680 Jesus addresses the biggest describe the 12 disciples. 00:10:46.500 --> 00:10:51.019 It was used to describe a much larger group of people. 00:10:51.320 --> 00:10:52.600 Who followed Jesus. 00:10:53.519 --> 00:10:55.419 And within that group of disciples. 00:10:55.639 --> 00:10:56.320 People came. 00:10:56.899 --> 00:10:58.100 And people went. 00:10:59.600 --> 00:11:01.700 We see that throughout the gospels. 00:11:01.840 --> 00:11:03.940 There were people who truly believed. 00:11:04.000 --> 00:11:05.720 And they just continued to follow him. 00:11:05.720 --> 00:11:07.860 And there were some who were attracted. 00:11:08.160 --> 00:11:09.040 And came along. 00:11:09.139 --> 00:11:10.240 And explored for a while. 00:11:10.840 --> 00:11:13.100 And then quit. 00:11:14.340 --> 00:11:16.379 Judas is the most same way. 00:11:49.980 --> 00:11:52.319 There were many who believed in Jesus. 00:11:52.559 --> 00:11:55.139 But not all were true believers. 00:11:56.980 --> 00:12:00.039 And this is precisely the
