00:04:07.180 Well, our passage today is talking about the church as God's building. 00:04:07.660 --> 00:04:11.480 Not as a structure with bricks and mortar. 00:04:12.180 --> 00:04:15.960 God almost never describes the church as a building in that sense. 00:04:15.960 --> 00:04:22.980 But what it is, is the building is the community of God's people. 00:04:23.300 --> 00:04:24.160 The relationships. 00:04:24.960 --> 00:04:29.740 The nature of what it means when God's people gather together as a church. 00:04:31.420 --> 00:04:37.759 And interestingly, Paul doesn't just use building as a noun, but Comparing themselves and competing with one another in spiritual things. 00:07:01.779 --> 00:07:04.980 In a foolish attempt to get ahead spiritually. 00:07:04.980 --> 00:07:12.259 These dynamics cause quarreling and jealousy and divisions in the church. 00:07:12.759 --> 00:07:14.740 And Paul rebukes them for it. 00:07:15.240 --> 00:07:17.819 Reminding them that the church is God's work.
