He's seeking to save and bring sinners into His kingdom by His grace. 00:05:44.639 --> 00:05:52.800 And so these are all parables of different dimensions and aspects of the saving reign of God. good news brings about a kingdom produce? 00:06:08.740 --> 00:06:21.620 Do you understand with the parable of the weeds and of the dragnet that a kingdom perspective yields this understanding that 00:06:38.579 Do you get with the parables of the hidden treasure in the pearl of great price that the kingdom is of incomparable worth and worth giving everything to have? 00:06:39.500 --> you open up a vertical blind and you can see outside the window? 00:07:38.479 --> 00:07:42.519 Well, a parable would hide the truth of the kingdom to those with a hard heart, 00:07:42.519 --> 00:07:50.060 but a parable would be opened to a person that God has softened their heart. 00:07:51.060 --> 00:07:57.579 God reveals the truth of the kingdom to those with tender hearts. 00:07:57.579 --> 00:08:03.800 Now when we use the word understand, we typically use it in terms of figuring something out. 00:08:04.219 --> 00:08:07.560 And I think right now I'm going to get a yes and an amen 00:09:40.140 --> 00:09:42.360 Jesus has just shared the parable of the soils, 00:09:42.540 --> 00:09:43.840 and His disciples come up to Him, 00:09:43.860 --> 00:09:44.260 and they say, 00:09:44.360 --> 00:09:45.980 hey, why do you speak to them in parables? 00:09:46.060 --> 00:09:48.260 And in verse 11, Jesus answers them, 00:09:48.280 --> 00:09:48.700 and He says, 00:09:49.060 --> 00:09:51.800 to you, disciples, it has been given. 00:09:52.180 --> 00:09:54.060 You've got to be thinking grace right there. 00:09:54.060 --> 00:09:56.320 It's been given to know, 00:09:56.880 --> 00:10:00.880 understand the secrets, 00:10:01.160 --> 00:10:02.420 hiddenness of the kingdom. 00:10:02.940 --> 00:10:07.320 Understanding is given as a gift, 00:10:07.620 --> 00:10:09.480 but to them, it's not been given. 00:10:12.080 --> 00:10:17.500 This understanding is a God-given gift. 00:10:17.500 --> 00:10:26.059 What God does is He enables us 00:10:26.059 --> 00:10:30.779 to actually comprehend the Yes, Father, for such was your gracious will 00:11:15.039 --> 00:11:16.379 to reveal them. 00:11:17.720 --> 00:11:19.620 All things have been handed over to me 00:11:19.620 --> 00:11:20.419 by my understanding 00:12:05.519 --> 00:12:06.679 that only God gives? 00:12:07.340 --> 00:12:09.059 And let me just add this, 00:12:09.860 --> 00:12:12.879 it is a saving understanding. 00:12:14.379 -->
