like the ideal place to call home. 00:01:33.420 --> 00:01:43.659 And yet we've read again and again of the complaints that Jesus brings against them for major failings right at their core. 00:01:43.659 --> 00:01:48.319 So what would the ideal church look like? 00:01:49.319 --> 00:01:54.939 What would the church look like that got no criticism from Jesus? 00:01:56.319 --> 00:02:00.620 Presumably we'd read accounts of wonderful acts of service. 00:02:01.400 --> 00:02:02.459 Of growth. 00:02:02.879 --> 00:02:04.920 Of the impact they're making in their community. 00:02:04.920 --> 00:02:13.740 The letter to the church in Philadelphia is one of only two that has no complaint in it. 00:02:15.479 --> 00:02:21.319 But despite the lack of complaint, this is not a church without its difficulties. 00:02:22.780 --> 00:02:24.840 They're finding things tough. 00:02:24.840 --> 00:02:33.800 Where some churches need rebuke, this church needs encouragement and reassurance. 00:02:36.199 smouldering wick he will not snuff out. 00:04:56.759 --> 00:05:00.579 So instead of criticism, this is comfort. 00:05:01.840 --> 00:05:02.620 He knows them. 00:05:03.699 --> 00:05:05.379 He knows
