really? 00:24:58.720 --> 00:25:01.720 Isn't it just a bit over the top? 00:25:01.720 --> 00:25:08.720 Surely God, of all people, could put up with a few lives in the odd times. 00:25:08.720 --> 00:25:14.720 I mean, why bring it to attention? 00:25:14.720 --> 00:25:20.720 Why can't God just overlook what's going on and just ignore it? 00:25:20.720 --> 00:25:23.720 It would be so much easier. 00:25:23.720 --> 00:25:27.720 But here's the note. 00:25:27.720 --> 00:25:30.720 God loves us too much. 00:25:30.720 --> 00:25:33.720 He loves us too much. 00:25:33.720 --> 00:25:40.720 You see, to ignore sin or to overlook sin is to deny God his justice. 00:25:40.720 --> 00:25:44.720 Imagine if God were just a turn of blind eyes. 00:25:44.720 --> 00:25:45.720 The fruit is taken. 00:25:45.720 --> 00:25:48.720 Oh, I didn't see that really. 00:25:48.720 --> 00:25:51.720 You know, you can have access to the tree of life. 00:25:51.720 --> 00:25:53.720 It's all right. 00:25:53.720 --> 00:25:55.720 Do you know what that would mean? 00:25:55.720 --> 00:26:01.720 It would mean we can live as we please without any consequences. 00:26:01.720 --> 00:26:03.720 Nobody is so detangible. might tolerate each other's behaviour. 00:27:34.720 --> 00:27:37.720 We can make excuses for one another. 00:27:37.720 --> 00:27:39.720 Oh, it's just their personality. 00:27:39.720 --> 00:27:40.720 It's just their character. 00:27:40.720 --> 00:27:42.720 It's just the way they are. 00:27:42.720 --> 00:27:45.720 We might even think that God is overreacting. 00:27:45.720 --> 00:27:52.720 But God's banishing man from his presence reveals just how serious it all is. 00:27:52.720 --> 00:27:58.720 Here's a quote I came across during the week. 00:27:58.720 --> 00:28:07.720 In the blindness of our sin, we are ignorant of our true condition, and we distort who God is. 00:28:07.720 --> 00:28:08.720 We are ignorant of our sin. 00:28:08.720 --> 00:28:13.720 This means we grossly underestimate the to Adam. 00:36:55.719 --> 00:37:02.719 God had said that a seed would come from the woman who would crush Satan's head. 00:37:02.719 --> 00:37:08.719 And as God pronounced his judgment, he also and Eve would live on a bit more, and they would have a family, they would have children. 00:37:45.719 --> 00:37:54.719 One of their offspring would come to crush Satan's head. 00:37:54.719 --> 00:37:58.719 And so by faith, Adam called his wife Eve. 00:37:58.719 --> 00:38:02.719 The one who would give birth to all. 00:38:02.719 --> 00:38:05.719 The one who would give life. 00:38:05.719 --> 00:38:13.719 And so as they look forward in faith to the one who is to come, we look back in faith to the one who has come. 00:38:13.719 --> 00:38:22.719 To Jesus, the serpent crusher, who has dealt
