pages to Psalm 1, where David started the book of Psalms and saying, 00:04:52.779 --> 00:04:52.980 Really? 00:04:54.139 --> 00:04:55.959 All I have to do is prosper? 00:04:57.360 --> 00:05:00.420 Do you remember those words where David writes, 00:05:00.420 --> 00:05:17.360 Really? 00:05:18.360 --> 00:05:21.879 All we have to do is obey God and we will prosper? 00:05:21.879 --> 00:05:31.079 Asaph takes that psalm and actually exposes it to life itself and how life unfolds. 00:05:31.379 --> 00:05:33.620 He takes an honest look at life too as he does it. 00:05:33.879 --> 00:05:35.139 And it's a growth point for him. 00:05:35.180 --> 00:05:37.040 And I hope it is for you as we go through this psalm. 00:05:37.420 --> 00:05:43.040 You see, he comes to the same conclusion even after exposing the addressing whether you believe or disbelieve. 00:06:21.639 --> 00:06:26.039 What this psalm is doing is taking, for those who do believe, 00:06:26.980 --> 00:06:31.639 what happens when we look at the world and the injustices and the unfairness of it 00:06:31.639 --> 00:06:39.699 challenge our confidence, our assurance, our peace of mind in the faith that we have. 00:06:39.699 --> 00:06:44.159 Doubt is not wrong like temptation is not wrong. 00:06:46.699 --> 00:06:53.800 And doubt provides the opportunity to know with even more confidence than we did before. 00:06:53.920 --> 00:06:57.259
