Gospel, chapter 17, and in fact the whole second half of John's 00:02:47.620 --> 00:02:50.240 Gospel is preparing for Jesus' death. 00:02:50.659 --> 00:02:53.620 It's marching towards Jesus on the cross. 00:02:53.620 --> 00:02:56.439 And so it's about the same thing as John 3.16. 00:02:58.120 --> 00:03:05.800 But the focus in this passage doesn't seem to be God so loved the world, at least not you do, do it all for the glory of God. 00:04:57.600 --> 00:05:02.800 And the reality is, at first glance, this idea of God's glory being the most important thing 00:05:02.800 --> 00:05:09.480 can almost feel like it's in tension with God's love for us that we just talked about 00:05:09.480 --> 00:05:10.620 from John 3.16. 00:05:11.520 --> 00:05:13.660 It seems like a fair question to ask.
