something about, 00:03:44.300 --> 00:03:47.000 but it's really come out in force 00:03:47.000 --> 00:03:48.380 and it's really been surprising 00:03:48.380 --> 00:03:51.160 and that is the importance of families. 00:03:52.400 --> 00:03:55.960 The importance of leadership in our homes, 00:03:56.100 --> 00:03:58.400 moms and dads who love the Bible, 00:03:58.900 --> 00:04:01.040 who are teaching the Scriptures to their children 00:04:01.040 --> 00:04:04.320 and are helping to model that for their families 00:04:04.320 --> 00:04:09.060 and the beauty of that and the promise of that 00:04:09.060 --> 00:04:10.660 and the blessing of that 00:04:10.659 --> 00:04:13.259 that God uses His Word instrumentally 00:04:13.259 --> 00:04:14.919 to accomplish His purposes. 00:04:15.539 --> 00:04:16.279 --> 00:04:49.420 in the book of Deuteronomy for judges as well. 00:04:49.639 --> 00:04:51.460 And instead of courtroom officials, 00:04:52.780 --> 00:04:54.680 judges in the Old Testament, 00:04:55.360 --> 00:04:56.139 by design, 00:04:56.660 --> 00:04:57.900 were meant to be local leaders. 00:04:58.699 --> 00:05:00.879 Really, they were to be family heads, 00:05:01.560 --> 00:05:02.480 heads of households, 00:05:03.020 --> 00:05:03.360 fathers, 00:05:03.360 --> 00:05:05.720 who were helping to provide that leadership, 00:05:06.180 --> 00:05:07.120 that proximate, 00:05:07.480 --> the people 00:05:57.660 --> 00:05:59.580 what that kind of life looks like. 00:05:59.579 --> 00:06:01.079 We saw that in Joshua 1.8 00:06:01.079 --> 00:06:02.699 where it says this, 00:06:02.759 --> 00:06:03.539 this book of the law 00:06:03.539 --> 00:06:04.939 shall not depart from your mouth, 00:06:05.719 --> 00:06:06.959 but you shall meditate on it 00:06:06.959 --> 00:06:07.459 day and night 00:06:07.459 --> 00:06:09.159 so that you may be careful 00:06:09.159 --> 00:06:10.219 to do according to all 00:06:10.219 --> 00:06:11.079 that is written in it 00:06:11.079 --> 00:06:12.319 for then 00:06:12.319 --> 00:06:14.759 you will make your way prosperous 00:06:14.759 --> 00:06:16.319 and then 00:06:16.319 --> 00:06:18.039 you will have good success. 00:06:18.959 --> 00:06:20.060 And God benefits 00:06:24.919 --> 00:06:26.079 of that conquest 00:06:26.079 --> 00:06:27.519 moving into the promised land 00:06:27.519 --> 00:06:28.000 and saying 00:06:28.000 --> 00:06:29.620 God is faithful. 00:06:30.299 --> 00:06:31.359 He's faithful to his word 00:06:31.359 --> 00:06:32.899 and when faithful men 00:06:32.899 --> 00:06:34.659 follow God's word faithfully 00:06:34.659 -->
