And if you do that, you can get two sermons out of it. 00:00:48.859 --> 00:00:56.120 The first sermon would focus really on verses 21 and 22. There's a threefold blessing that comes to those who are baptized. 00:01:12.379 --> 00:01:20.519 There's a special touch of the Holy Spirit. There's a knowledge of the love of God. understand the baptism of Jesus 00:07:10.379 --> 00:07:11.959 is to let the Bible, 00:07:12.139 --> 00:07:14.219 and particularly let Luke himself, 00:07:14.500 --> 00:07:15.899 interpret it for us. 00:07:47.379 --> 00:07:49.159 So look at chapter 4 and verse 18. 00:07:50.279 --> 00:07:51.699 Jesus speaks himself. 00:07:53.719 --> 00:07:54.639 Jesus says, 00:07:54.759 --> 00:07:56.319 as he begins his public ministry, 00:07:57.539 --> 00:07:59.560 chapter 4 and verse 18, 00:08:00.779 --> 00:08:02.439 the Spirit of the Lord is on me. 00:08:03.399 --> 00:08:05.199 It's a reference back, isn't it? 00:08:05.479 --> 00:08:06.199 To the baptism. 00:08:07.599 --> 00:08:09.159 Because he has anointed me. 00:08:09.439 --> 00:08:11.659 And he goes on to describe his task. 00:08:11.959 -->
