of the time who are the Romans. 00:05:59.659 --> 00:06:03.220 And to make it worse, he actually takes a little slice of that for himself. 00:06:03.220 --> 00:06:10.460 So Matthew is rich and Matthew is hated all because he has sold his soul to the dark side. 00:06:11.760 --> 00:06:17.820 But Matthew's a guy who in his life had an encounter with Jesus. 00:06:18.600 --> 00:06:23.620 And life as book so that his generation of Jews and every generation ever since could pick this up and read about Jesus for ourselves. 00:06:44.000 --> 00:06:49.099 And it's as almost as if Matthew's giving us this gospel saying, you can come to know him too. 00:06:49.100 --> 00:06:56.560 If Jesus is interested in a rebel like me, then boy, you need to see that he will love a person like you. 00:06:59.460 baby was Uriah's. 00:10:08.539 --> 00:10:10.399 And then he arranges to have Uriah killed. 00:10:10.620 --> 00:10:14.079 Okay, this is something straight off the Jeremy Kyle show, right here in
