00:04:52.600 In Ephesians 1, it says, in love, in love, God predestined you. 00:04:52.660 --> 00:04:55.580 That means he thought about you and he chose you. 00:04:55.700 --> 00:05:01.260 If you were a Christian, he chose you before he made anything else for adoption as sons. 00:05:01.340 --> 00:05:06.060 That means he brought you into his family, into relationship with him through Jesus Christ. 00:05:06.500 --> 00:05:09.060 And it then says, according to the purpose of his will. 00:05:09.420 --> 00:05:11.320 If you want to know what God's will is, here it is. 00:05:11.319 --> 00:05:20.480 Lewis goes on to say, and I'm going to quote along this passage, but this is very, very perceptive. 00:06:30.060 --> 00:06:30.939 What C.S. --> 00:07:37.540 Don't you think that magnificent? 00:07:38.860 --> 00:07:48.220 The Psalms, in telling everyone to praise God, are doing what all men do when they speak of what they care about.
