own presence with the glory that I had before the world existed. 00:06:01.959 --> 00:06:04.779 He was praying for himself in verses 1 through 5. 00:06:05.240 --> 00:06:14.560 But now in verse 6, and called to follow Jesus, who have spent the better part of the past three years with him, 00:07:27.500 --> 00:07:33.879 following him, listening to his teaching, observing his miracles, seeing him day we've walked through the Gospel of John, 00:08:23.240 --> 00:08:25.000 I mean, they are a piece of work. 00:08:25.000 --> 00:08:30.660 They are constantly fumbling and bumbling and confused. 00:08:31.019 --> 00:08:34.600 They don't know who Jesus really is and what he really came to do. 00:08:34.759 --> 00:08:38.179 They're constantly misunderstanding the person and work of Christ. 00:08:38.679 --> 00:08:41.960 I think that what we're seeing as we walk through John is that 00:08:41.960 --> 00:08:46.799 they are not called to follow Jesus because they were qualified. 00:08:48.059 --> 00:08:51.139 And I think that that may just be the point. 00:08:51.139 --> 00:09:00.399 In this prayer, we get to peel back some of the layers here of how these men came to follow Jesus.
