say 00:06:59.939 --> 00:07:01.079 about His suffering. 00:07:02.439 --> 00:07:04.420 Far more attention 00:07:04.420 --> 00:07:06.420 is given actually 00:07:06.420 --> 00:07:09.519 to the related materials 00:07:09.519 --> 00:07:11.120 surrounding Christ's crucifixion 00:07:11.680 --> 00:07:12.860 and the effect 00:07:12.860 --> 00:07:14.579 that what was taking place 00:07:14.579 --> 00:07:15.659 had on those 00:07:15.659 --> 00:07:17.039 who were watching it 00:07:17.039 --> 00:07:19.719 and were witnesses to it. 00:07:21.259 --> 00:07:22.279 And so, this morning 00:07:22.279 --> 00:07:23.479 as you look at this passage, 00:07:23.680 --> 00:07:24.699 we are actually looking 00:07:24.699 --> 00:07:27.099 at the very concluding moments 00:07:27.099 --> 00:07:29.120 of that 00:07:45.980 --> 00:07:47.220 that the Holy Spirit 00:07:47.220 --> 00:07:49.100 has chosen to give to us 00:07:49.100 --> 00:07:50.840 and to inform us 00:07:50.840 --> 00:07:52.680 about the nature of our Savior 00:07:52.680 --> 00:07:54.439 and the phenomenal work 00:07:54.439 --> 00:07:56.000 of His grace in saving us. 00:07:56.879 --> 00:07:57.620 So, I want you, 00:07:57.680 --> 00:07:58.740 00:11:41.319 from the Synoptics 00:11:41.319 --> 00:11:43.339 that both of these members, 00:11:43.500 --> 00:11:43.959 these men, 00:11:44.039 --> 00:11:44.500 were members 00:11:44.500 --> 00:11:45.459 of the Sanhedrin. 00:11:45.859 --> 00:11:46.899 They were the actual, 00:11:47.579 --> 00:11:49.539 kind of like the court 00:11:49.539 --> 00:11:51.139 of Israel 00:11:51.139 --> 00:11:52.039 and involved 00:11:52.039 --> 00:11:53.240 in making significant 00:11:53.240 --> 00:11:53.679 religious 00:11:53.679 --> 00:11:55.199 and practical 00:11:55.199 --> 00:11:56.179 political decisions 00:11:56.179 --> 00:11:57.279 that were outside 00:11:57.279 --> 00:11:59.120 the venue 00:11:59.120 --> 00:12:00.159 of the government 00:12:00.159 --> 00:12:00.620 of Rome.
