famous interaction between a reporter and Walt's brother. 00:04:39.340 --> 00:04:40.100 I think it was Roy. 00:04:40.680 --> 00:04:44.939 And they're standing in some place where they could oversee discomfort. 00:07:18.759 --> 00:07:24.659 And there is discomfort that is required to put on display the things that God wants to show forth in his church. 00:07:24.660 --> 00:07:32.720 But you'll never endure that discomfort if you don't first have conviction about what the church is supposed to be. 00:07:33.120 --> 00:07:39.660 For Christians, the best way to appropriate, to appropriately 00:07:55.920 They all seek their own interests, not those of Jesus Christ. 00:07:56.519 --> 00:07:58.660 Jesus Christ has things he's interested in. 00:07:59.120 --> 00:08:02.899 One of those things that he's interested in is the church being a certain way. 00:08:03.800 --> 00:08:08.600 There are specific things in the Bible that are referred to when talking about the church. 00:08:09.040 --> --> 00:08:16.159 I count at least 15 different things that the Bible says the church is. 00:08:17.199 --> 00:08:21.500 And for us to be convictional about what those things are and to say, 00:08:21.620 --> 00:08:26.240 Hey, it's not okay if these things aren't expressed through the local church. 00:08:26.439 --> 00:08:29.240 And I want to do everything I can to see that expressed. 00:08:40.779 Acts 20.28, when Paul was speaking to the Ephesian elders in Miletus, 00:08:40.779 --> 00:08:41.860 He said, 00:08:41.860 --> 00:08:47.539 Pay careful attention to yourselves and to all the flock in which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, 00:08:47.779 --> 00:08:51.559 to care for the church of God, which he obtained with his own blood. 00:08:51.679 --> 00:08:53.419 That last phrase there is important. 00:08:53.959 --> 00:08:58.779 If we want to care rightly, correctly, for the church of God, 00:08:58.959 --> 00:09:01.720 one of the keys is just remembering, 00:09:02.120
