of the outline that I will follow here. 00:01:35.380 --> 00:01:38.180 And so we see here that it's the word of the Lord that came to Jeremiah, 00:01:38.320 --> 00:01:39.580 which means it's God's 00:11:50.740 --> 00:11:51.659 rear their heads again, 00:11:51.720 --> 00:11:54.019 and go back to commit more robberies. 00:11:54.019 --> 00:11:58.299 So the people of Judah then are treating the temple like a den of robbers. 00:11:58.699 --> 00:12:00.419 They're treating it like a hideout. 00:12:00.759 --> 00:12:01.659 When they're out there, 00:12:01.720 --> 00:12:03.419 they do all kinds of evil deeds, 00:12:03.559 --> 00:12:05.019 and then they come to the temple thinking, 00:12:05.139 --> 00:12:06.079 oh, we'll be safe here. 00:12:07.340 --> 00:12:08.759 No one will get us here. 00:12:09.179 --> 00:12:09.939 This is the temple. 00:12:09.940 --> 00:12:13.560 They're saying to themselves, 00:12:13.760 --> 00:12:16.120 we're in God's temple performing the required rituals. Shiloh was destroyed, 00:12:54.639 --> 00:12:56.840 and it was abandoned and left the heap of ruins. 00:12:57.419 --> 00:13:01.939 And God uses that vivid memory that these people still have to tell them, 00:13:02.000 --> 00:13:03.379 to use it as a cautionary tale. 00:13:03.379 --> 00:13:03.840 He tells them, 00:13:04.000 --> 00:13:06.159 go take a look at my old sanctuary, 00:13:06.259 --> 00:13:06.960 in Shiloh, 00:13:07.319 --> 00:13:11.860 and see for yourself what has happened to it because of Israel's sin. 00:13:12.200 --> 00:13:16.600 The fact that God established a dwelling place
