thinking a lot about the foundations of Christ Church and what we're building into the culture. 00:00:36.079 --> 00:00:39.719 Or in other words, the manner of life that we're building. 00:00:40.219 --> 00:00:46.519 And when we started Bellicose Church, mission was built into every facet of the foundation. 00:00:46.520 --> 00:00:49.520 And I believe it must be for Christ Church as well. have your Bibles, you can look at it. 00:00:59.260 --> 00:01:01.040 And the second one is going to be Mark 8. 00:01:02.660 --> 00:01:06.040 But we'll start in Philippians 1, 27 to 30. 00:01:06.600 --> 00:01:07.500 I'll read it first. 00:01:08.120 --> 00:01:08.379 It says, 00:01:08.379 --> 00:01:12.040 Let your manner of life be worthy of the gospel of Christ. 00:01:12.040 --> 00:01:16.740 So whether I come and see you or am absent, I may hear of you. 00:01:17.180 --> 00:01:22.580 You are standing firm in one spirit, with one mind, striving side by side for the faith of the gospel. 00:01:22.960 --> 00:01:25.340 And not frightened in anything by your opponents. 00:01:26.100 --> 00:01:31.180 This is a clear sign to them of their destruction, but of your salvation and that from 00:02:01.880 --> 00:02:02.920 Well, what does he mean by that? 00:02:02.980 --> 00:02:09.840 Well, he goes into the specifics of what he's talking about when he talks about the manner of life being standing firm in one spirit, with one mind, striving side by side for the faith of the gospel. 00:02:21.180 --> 00:02:29.700 And so he's saying a manner of life worthy of the gospel is one that strives side by side for the faith of the gospel. 00:02:30.120 --> 00:02:36.340 So this already flies in the face of our individualistic culture, of normal church culture, which says, 00:02:36.340 --> 00:02:46.199 As long as I do the right things, I attend the services, and I have certain missional aspects of my life that aim towards the gospel, I'm good. 00:02:46.719 --> 00:02:55.020 But he's saying here that a manner of life worthy of the gospel isn't just someone who preaches the gospel or is intentional with the gospel on their own. 00:02:55.020 --> 00:02:59.780 It's those who strive doing, 00:08:06.120 --> 00:08:10.300 and you found out that they weren't praying together for the lost regularly, 00:08:10.659 --> 00:08:12.659 what would you think about that church plant? 00:08:13.560 --> 00:08:16.339 What would you think about its effectiveness? 00:08:16.339 --> 00:08:22.420 What would you think about whether it's an actual gospel worthy church? 00:08:23.899 -->
