00:09:39.700 --> 00:09:41.940 Rome made them a Roman colony, 00:09:42.060 --> 00:09:44.120 and a lot of veterans of the war 00:09:44.120 --> 00:09:45.840 decided to take land in Philippi. 00:09:46.460 --> 00:09:50.159 So there was a lot of veterans 00:09:50.159 --> 00:09:51.740 and a lot of Roman soldiers. 00:09:51.740 --> 00:09:53.480 So the people of Philippi 00:09:53.480 --> 00:09:55.080 would and how, of the Roman, 00:10:30.980 --> 00:10:32.500 sorry, not the Roman Empire, 00:10:32.800 --> 00:10:33.480 the Roman soldiers, 00:10:33.580 --> 00:10:34.800 and how important it was. 00:10:35.820
