--> 00:00:58.140 So because Jesus was doing these things on the Sabbath, the Jewish leaders began to persecute him. 00:00:59.560 --> 00:01:01.299 In his defense, Jesus said to them, 00:01:01.619 --> 00:01:07.379 My Father is always at his work to this very day, and I too am working. 00:01:09.159 --> 00:01:10.159 John tells us, 00:01:10.159 --> 00:01:27.759 So even before that moment, they were trying to kill him. 00:01:27.900 --> 00:01:32.039 But then, after this run-in with the Jewish leaders, last time he was in Jerusalem, 00:01:32.140 --> 00:01:33.799 now they want to do it all the more. 00:02:50.420 But all of this is being said on the hush, 00:02:50.520 --> 00:02:53.600 because people are afraid of the religious leaders. 00:02:53.599 --> 00:02:57.219 Let's pick up the story in verse 00:07:48.740 --> 00:07:49.360 and Facebook, 00:07:49.580 --> 00:07:51.600 and the journalists on CBC, 00:07:51.600 --> 00:07:53.060 are giving their two cents, 00:07:53.100 --> 00:07:54.580 about this
