has been anointed by God. 00:05:19.359 --> 00:05:21.819 The word anointed is Messiah. 00:05:22.879 --> 00:05:24.500 The word Christ is anointed. 00:05:25.599 --> 00:05:28.599 So David is a shadow for us of the coming kingdom. 00:05:30.539 --> 00:05:32.439 And there's no question more important 00:05:32.439 --> 00:05:34.659 for you and me today than that as well. 00:05:35.539 --> 00:05:39.879 What from the slaughter 00:06:13.860 --> 00:06:16.340 of which group? 00:06:16.579 --> 00:06:17.040 Which people? 00:06:17.960 --> 00:06:18.900 The Amalekites. 00:06:19.579 --> 00:06:20.740 Remember the Amalekites, 00:06:21.139 --> 00:06:22.379 the predatory parasites 00:06:22.379 --> 00:06:24.100 that sneak in and prey on the weak? 00:06:24.760 --> 00:06:26.720 The ones who burned down Ziklag 00:06:26.720 --> 00:06:28.820 and carried off all the women and children? 00:06:30.020 --> 00:06:31.580 That's who David just went out 00:06:31.580 --> 00:06:34.200 and with God's power they slayed be the king 00:08:02.060 --> 00:08:03.459 under the Lord 00:08:03.459 --> 00:08:04.540 over his people. 00:08:04.540 --> 00:08:07.540 Well, this initial impression 00:08:08.140 --> 00:08:09.140 we get of this man 00:08:09.140 --> 00:08:11.120 is one who outwardly appears 00:08:11.120 --> 00:08:12.580 to be on the side of Israel. 00:08:13.939 --> 00:08:15.660 Outwardly, he appears to be humble, 00:08:15.900 --> 00:08:16.240 meek, 00:08:16.840 --> 00:08:17.700 and one who belongs 00:08:17.700 --> 00:08:18.900 to the kingdom of heaven 00:08:18.900 --> 00:08:19.820 coming to earth 00:08:19.820
