How is that going to be taken care of? 00:05:17.699 --> 00:05:24.219 Romans, as we looked at last week, Romans 1, 18 through 25, basically says that 00:05:24.219 --> 00:05:29.479 the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men 00:05:29.479 --> 00:05:33.599 who suppress the truth, because that which is known about God is evident within them, 00:05:33.859 --> 00:05:35.839 for God made it evident to them. 00:05:35.839 --> 00:05:45.060 And so as we read in the passage, what we see in God's word is that all people have a revelation 00:05:45.060 --> 00:05:46.099 that there is a God. 00:05:46.439 --> 00:05:48.060 We call that natural revelation. 00:05:48.979 --> 00:05:51.739 And so there's no one who can say, I've never, didn't know that. If you don't, if you know anything about theology, in the 60s and 70s, Christianity was getting toasted, destroyed, beat up. 00:06:46.480 --> 00:06:56.160 And there was one man who stood up and spoke theologically, philosophically, and well to the issues of the day in the 60s 00:06:56.160 --> 00:06:57.759 where there was massive turmoil. 00:06:58.900 --> 00:07:04.160 And he had this young man come into him one time and the man was incredibly, incredibly angry. 00:07:04.160 --> 00:07:12.400 And he felt like how presumptuous is it for God to judge him, a person who's never heard the gospel before? 00:07:12.780 --> 00:07:16.480 How can God, when he gets to heaven, if there is a God, how can God judge him? 00:07:16.540 --> 00:07:18.280 Now, there's a lot of assumptions here, right? through 3, and he said this to the young man. 00:07:42.899 --> 00:07:46.740 He said, therefore, you are without excuse, every man of you who passes judgment. 00:07:47.399 --> 00:07:49.899 For then that you judge another, you condemn yourself. 00:07:50.620 --> 00:07:54.180 For you who judge practice the same thing. 00:07:54.560 --> 00:07:58.319 And we know that the judgment of God rightly falls upon those who practice such things. 00:07:58.819 --> 00:08:00.899 And Schaeffer said to the young man, you know, you're right. 00:08:01.839 --> 00:08:05.219 Maybe it is unjust for God to judge you on the gospel. 00:08:05.899 --> 00:08:12.040 And then he went over to the guy, and he imagined that he unhooked a microphone from around his neck. 00:08:12.480 --> 00:08:13.540 And the guy was looking at that, I would never have done that, I wouldn't do that, 00:08:30.879 --> 00:08:35.019 that's the stupidest thing I ever heard, how can they do that and not be true, that's inconsistent. 00:08:35.379
