the clues of the text point to the time 00:04:59.580 --> 00:05:02.319 where he is in the wilderness with his family and household. 00:05:02.319 --> 00:05:04.540 He's away from the temple of God. 00:05:05.860 --> 00:05:11.060 And his prayer is that the king of heaven will rule over him and over Israel. 00:05:11.800 --> 00:05:12.860 He's not on the throne. 00:05:13.180 --> 00:05:14.439 The know, two-thirds of the sermon disparaging the word of God, 00:05:54.819 --> 00:05:56.159 pushing the word of God down. 00:05:56.240 --> 00:05:56.800 That's blatant. 00:05:56.860 --> 00:05:57.500 That's obvious. 00:05:58.420 --> 00:06:00.600 But sometimes the pain we suffer within the church, 00:06:00.660 --> 00:06:03.079 it comes in a twisted, subtle form. 00:06:03.139 --> 00:06:04.459 And 00:06:19.940 It's a man in the wilderness looking to the high king of heaven 00:06:19.940 --> 00:06:22.880 and praying for the kingdom of heaven to come on earth, 00:06:23.180 --> 00:06:24.460 beginning with his own kingdom. 00:06:24.459 --> 00:06:29.000 And the first observation is this. 00:06:29.219 --> 00:06:30.139 What does David do? 00:06:31.339 --> 00:06:34.500 How does David live before the invisible king of heaven 00:06:34.500 --> 00:06:37.019 when the visible kingdom on earth is so corrupt? 00:06:38.099 --> 00:06:41.079 Number one, I've got about seven of these. 00:06:41.319 morning and I will look up. 00:07:59.639 --> 00:08:03.939 I'm going to deliberately take my eyes off of those around me. 00:08:04.319 --> 00:08:06.099 And I'm going to try to be like Stephen. 00:08:06.099 --> 00:08:09.919 When God opened the skies and he could see the kingdom of heaven. 00:08:10.539 --> 00:08:14.800 With the eyes of faith, I look up, Lord, because I don't know what else to 00:13:24.879 that the church is able to test and approve 00:13:24.879 --> 00:13:26.299 what is God's will, 00:13:26.399 --> 00:13:28.519 His good, pleasing, and perfect will. 00:13:29.059 --> 00:13:29.659 Romans 12. 00:13:29.759 --> 00:13:31.819 Because God has taken His moral law 00:13:31.819 --> 00:13:34.259 and He has reformed your heart. 00:13:34.399 --> 00:13:35.620 He's renewed your
