Now we don't know a lot about Hebrew music in ancient times, whether they had verses and choruses like we do in our songs today. 00:03:12.060 --> 00:03:18.479 But it seems as though there are distinct 00:03:33.939 The first part that we see is in verses 1 to 6, where David sings about how the heavens proclaim God's glory. 00:03:33.939 --> 00:03:39.780 The second part, David seems to focus on a 00:04:04.219 Now we might wonder if we're just reading through this on our own. 00:04:04.479 --> 00:04:08.300 Why does it all of a sudden just change when we get to verse 7? 00:04:08.699 --> 00:04:14.939 We don't know the reason, but probably if we try to read this like this is, you know, a systematic theology textbook, 00:04:15.300 --> 00:04:16.879 it's just not going to feel right. 00:04:16.939 --> 00:04:18.019 Why is he jumping around? 00:04:18.019 --> 00:04:20.939 But we have to remember, these are song lyrics. 00:04:21.399 --> 00:04:23.319 We have to read them as song lyrics. 00:04:26.779 --> 00:04:31.579 The one, I'm not going to call it main point, because it's not really a point, 00:04:31.699 --> 00:04:35.879 but the one unifying sentiment of this whole psalm, 00:04:36.620 --> 00:04:42.539 is I think David is just simply speaking from the heart, 00:04:42.540 --> 00:04:48.280 saying, my glorious God, I stand in awe of you. 00:04:49.200 --> 00:04:53.879 And these things that he lays out in each of these parts, 00:04:54.000 --> 00:04:58.360 they're the reasons, they're the things that have sparked this awe in David's heart. 00:04:58.780 --> 00:05:03.020
