soldiers, 00:05:03.679 --> 00:05:04.859 and Israel has been invaded. 00:05:06.219 --> 00:05:08.619 And the Philistines have the Israelites outnumbered. 00:05:08.679 --> 00:05:09.859 Look back at 13.5. 00:05:10.179 --> 00:05:11.699 The Philistines invade with soldiers 00:05:11.699 --> 00:05:13.899 as numerous as the sand on the seashore. 00:05:14.879 --> 00:05:17.019 Saul begins with just a few thousand soldiers, 00:05:17.519 --> 00:05:19.479 but by the time we get to 1 Samuel 14, 00:05:19.639 --> 00:05:21.799 he only has 600 still with him. 00:05:22.219 --> 00:05:23.259 People are fleeing. situation. 00:06:10.379 --> 00:06:12.100 And then Jonathan, the king's son, 00:06:12.199 --> 00:06:15.100 comes up with what seems like a crazy plan. 00:06:15.920 --> 00:06:17.360 He and his armor bearer, 00:06:17.459 --> 00:06:19.920 the young man who helps him carry his things, 00:06:20.319 --> 00:06:22.019 decide that they're going to attack 00:06:22.019 --> 00:06:24.019 the Philistines by --> 00:10:17.919 I think Jonathan knew what God had done 00:10:17.919 --> 00:10:19.879 in bringing the people of Israel out of Egypt. 00:10:20.639 --> 00:10:22.039 A slave people, 00:10:23.179 --> 00:10:25.079 enslaved in the nation, 00:10:25.359 --> 00:10:27.479 in the superpower of its age. 00:10:28.639 --> 00:10:31.319 Far more powerful than even the Philistines. 00:10:32.399 --> 00:10:33.879 But God had saved them. 00:10:34.599 --> 00:10:36.559 And even if they had managed to escape Egypt, 00:10:36.559 --> 00:10:38.639 the road to the promised land 00:10:38.639 -->
