was the first registration when Quirinius was governor of 00:00:59.960 --> 00:01:03.880 Syria and all went to be registered, each to his own town. 00:01:04.379 --> 00:01:07.239 And Joseph also went up 00:01:48.299 --> 00:01:54.019 The promise of the Lord to Zachariah and Elizabeth, the promise they 00:01:54.019 --> 00:01:55.040 got was precious. 00:01:55.599 --> 00:01:57.560 Elizabeth was Mary's cousin. 00:01:58.260 --> 00:02:01.000 She was older and could not have children. 00:02:01.680 --> 00:02:05.939 Now that's always a heavy weight when childbearing is difficult, but it's 00:02:05.939 --> 00:02:11.560 even more so difficult in their time because of the scorn of others. 00:02:12.520 --> 00:02:16.639 Zachariah and Elizabeth had prayed and had fasted and asked the Lord to 00:02:16.639 --> 00:02:20.340 move in a mighty way in their lives, and he hadn't done it. 00:02:20.439 --> 00:02:23.979 And they worried about it, and they doubted that God would move in that. 00:02:25.259 --> 00:03:56.359 Another gift that's so precious around the birth of Christ is room. 00:03:57.879 --> 00:04:06.079 Now, there was room for a very pregnant mother, a journeying father, and an expectant priest because it was used as a burning incense in worship. 00:11:58.879 --> 00:12:07.799 And then myrrh was therapeutic, but it was also used to prepare dead bodies in the ways of the customs of that
