00:07:03.459 --> 00:07:08.299 Here are fishermen panicking. 00:07:10.000 --> 00:07:13.899 And yet strangely, all this time, will they go into survival mode? 00:07:14.819 --> 00:07:18.180 Do you see Jesus, verse 38, what's he doing? remember that these are the same disciples that Mark has just told us at chapter 3 00:08:12.160 --> 00:08:16.620 are the ones that Jesus has chosen to come and be with him. 00:08:16.620 --> disciples to ask. 00:09:07.159 --> 00:09:13.939 I would just custard pie that thought and say it just strikes me as a very human question to ask. 00:09:14.079 --> 00:09:19.079 I love, one of the things I love most about the Bible is it's filled with people who are just like me 00:09:19.080 --> 00:09:24.240 and who lose it and who panic and who fret. 00:09:26.820 --> 00:09:29.020 Jesus is sleeping while they're panicking. 00:09:30.900 --> 00:09:34.860 You see, for Jesus to sleep, this is more than just that he was just tired. 00:09:39.300 --> 00:09:42.480 Although being fully man, he is. 00:09:44.540 --> 00:09:49.060 He's not sleeping because he's not panicking. 00:09:49.080 --> 00:09:52.720 Now maybe you can think of it like this. 00:09:53.960 --> 00:09:56.060 Boys and girls, I God who remembers Psalm 121 that we read at the start. 00:10:43.600 --> 00:10:46.820 A sovereign God who neither slumbers nor sleeps. 00:10:47.759 --> 00:10:50.720 A sovereign God who is keeping his people. 00:10:50.720 --> 00:10:59.000 Jesus doesn't sleep because he's trusting in the one who is in control of all things. 00:10:59.960 --> 00:11:08.040 And as God, he's showing us that we can sleep
