The other example would be Amos. Amos was a poor farmer south of Jerusalem. He raised sycamore 00:00:55.960 --> 00:01:03.219 trees and tended sheep and now Isaiah is this princely man with a world-class education. Isaiah 00:01:03.219 --> 00:01:08.879 wrote based out of the capital city Jerusalem. At this point in redemptive history the ten northern 00:01:08.879 --> 00:01:16.400 tribes were already in captivity. Isaiah prophesied the coming judgment of now the two southern tribes 00:01:16.400 --> 00:01:24.359 Judah and Benjamin but also God's promises. Isaiah is also the mouthpiece of the great God who would 00:01:24.359 --> 00:01:30.439 bring salvation not only for Judea and Jerusalem and then the ten northern tribes which the New 00:01:30.439 --> 00:01:36.340 Testament calls Samaria but God would bring salvation to the ends of the earth and that's our focus in 00:01:36.340 --> 00:01:43.219 today's sermon text. Packer wrote this of angels. 00:10:51.420 --> 00:10:54.980 Heaven is their headquarters where they are constantly worshiping God. 00:10:55.440 --> 00:11:01.340 And from heaven, they are sent to render services to Christians at God's bidding. 00:11:01.840 --> 00:11:04.680 Because God is the creator of the heavens. 00:11:05.080 --> 00:11:07.640 That's why you should look past this physical realm. 00:11:44.520 --> 00:11:44.860 He said, 00:11:45.360 --> 00:11:46.900 I can appeal to my father. 00:11:47.440 --> 00:11:52.840 And he will send at once more than 12 legions of angels. 00:11:54.040 --> 00:11:57.080 A legion is 5,000 to 6,000 angels. 00:11:57.240 --> 00:11:59.440 So more Roman soldiers than you could picture. 00:12:00.560 --> 00:12:02.220 And 12 is the number of fullness.
