of church as if they were consumers or customers of spiritual goods. 00:15:00.620 --> 00:15:06.779 And then there are those who are genuine disciples of Jesus who have denied themselves, 00:15:06.899 fishermen who were washing their nets. 00:16:12.600 --> 00:16:17.519 He got into one of the boats, the one belonging to Simon, and asked him to put out a little from shore. 00:16:18.199 --> what they were going to do. 00:18:06.940 --> 00:18:12.980 There were some of those Jewish boys who would be really smart in the scriptures, 00:18:13.279 --> 00:18:17.299 who would be very insightful what he says. 00:24:44.579 --> 00:24:48.079 He says, and we will dine together. 00:24:48.960 --> 00:24:53.039 See, what Jesus wants you and invites you to do when he calls you to follow him, my wife and I decided we're going to join a group where I'm not in charge. 00:26:54.579 --> 00:26:59.359 And so we had some folks in our church that we had led to Christ, and we baptized them, about a content that we need to study? 00:29:24.579 --> 00:29:26.879 Is it about a course that we complete? 00:29:27.000 --> 00:29:29.500 Is it about community only and fellowship? 00:29:29.720 --> 00:29:33.579 Is it about accountability for how we live our Christian life? 00:29:33.619 --> 00:29:35.619 Is it about spiritual formation? 00:29:35.779 --> 00:29:37.879 And I would say, yes, it's about all those things. 00:29:38.679 --> 00:29:40.319 Discipleship includes all those things. 00:29:40.759 --> 00:29:47.200 But the one aspect that Jesus included from the very beginning here was the missional aspect. 00:29:47.200 --> 00:29:56.400 The ultimate objective of His calling Simon, James, and John to follow Him was so that they would become fishers of people. 00:29:57.120 -->
