experience that David had. 00:00:39.640 --> 00:00:45.439 And there's nothing like the deep, dark experiences of life 00:00:45.439 --> 00:00:52.579 where we come to learn in God's hand some of the greatest teachings that we can ever get. 00:00:52.579 --> 00:01:00.339 And it's always worth listening to Christians who have gone through deep and difficult experiences 00:01:00.339 --> 00:01:07.759 because God is a way of using these things to work in our heart, to teach us. 00:01:08.019 --> 00:01:15.140 And it's always worth spending time listening to people who have gone through experiences like that. 00:01:15.560 --> 00:01:18.000 Now, as we know, David lived on the edge for years. 00:01:18.000 --> 00:01:25.120 And it's strange that a man who had been promised the crown and the palace 00:03:26.520 --> 00:03:29.500 And of course, God was with David all the time. 00:03:29.980 --> 00:03:30.860 And David, of course, 00:03:30.960 --> 00:03:32.939 when there's so many parts of this psalm 00:03:32.939 --> 00:03:36.439 where we can understand exactly where David has come from, 00:03:36.920 --> 00:03:39.040 he was this poor man who cried 00:03:39.040 --> 00:03:41.420 and God heard and saved. 00:03:42.439 --> 00:03:45.860 And David knew that even although he was playing his own part, 00:03:46.599 --> 00:03:48.659 that it was ultimately down to God. 00:03:49.400 --> 00:03:50.500 Because we're told in the scripture 00:03:50.500 --> 00:03:52.819 that the king's heart is in the hand of the Lord 00:03:52.819 --> 00:03:55.959 and he'll turn it whichever way he will. 00:03:56.659 --> 00:03:58.079 We've always got to remember that. 00:03:58.340 --> 00:04:00.939 The king's heart is in the hand of the Lord. 00:04:01.939 --> 00:04:03.500 And so David was aware of that.
