I've never been to an 00:01:18.620 --> 00:01:24.140 opera and don't ever plan to be at one, but I can imagine. And it's also been described as the flight 00:01:24.140 --> 00:01:32.739 of an eagle because it conveys the overwhelming grandeur and movement of this letter with an 00:01:32.739 --> 00:01:40.920 opening doxology. Doxology means praise to God. So hear God's word, his inspired, inerrant, 00:01:41.960 --> 00:01:48.920 infallible, clear, sufficient, powerful word for you and me, his people. expecting a lot of other things that he wants to tell us, but he begins with blessing God. 00:15:06.320 --> 00:15:09.900 Praise God from whom we receive every spiritual blessing. 00:15:09.899 --> 00:15:17.159 It's not a report on how Paul is doing in prison, though they certainly prayed that Paul was well. 00:15:17.779 --> 00:15:25.340 It's not a man-centered hook trying to build rapport with an introduction to the topic or theme of the letter, which is the church itself. 00:15:38.719 --> 00:15:48.199 Though they and we will have learned a theology of the church from God's perspective by
